  1. The batterman below the piping on these jerseys is driving me absolutely bananas.
  2. For the love of god, can the lakers drop black from their purple jerseys?
  3. What I am confused about this whole thing is don't teams have their own seamstresses that apply names and numbers to jerseys? Am I just making this up? Or were these seamstresses just given these garbage numbers/patches? I wonder what last years numbers and fonts would look like on this current template. I also find it funny how colleges look better than the MLB now.
  4. https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/fields/controller/controller.php?action=main This is a great website. A database of field art and covers most teams entire histories.
  5. It might be an unpopular opinion but ever since the LA Super Bowl I've thoroughly enjoyed the templated super bowl logos. I think I even prefer them to everyone designing their own individual logo. I think a lot of the rhetoric around the old logos is rooted in nostalgia. In the first 20 super bowls I'd say there were about 4-5 unique logos. A ton of them also were just generic red white, and blue outside of the logos involving the roses from Pasadena super bowls. I think it is important to acknowledge as well outside of the Scott Norwood super bowl these didn't appear on jersey patches until Elway vs the Packers so I think there were different design influences. Do the logos below show any flare or personality of either New Orleans or San Diego? The one gripe I do have with the current system is that it is a bit corporate but I've gotten passed that. .
  6. I wouldn't say the Sack Exchange numbers are generic, look at the bend on the 7. I believe this is a champion block font which used to be quite popular but now I don't think it is used anywhere.
  7. In this day in age especially, if it aint broke dont fix it.
  8. Dolphins finally got aqua and logoed hand warmers. In year past they had these Navy ones that stuck out like sore thumbs.
  9. I don't know if I am alone on this one but I am upset the Bucs are playing on Monday night for a second year in a row. Personally I always enjoyed when a warm weather team hosts a playoff game in the sun. It is even more at risk since the Rams and Chargers moved into a roofed stadium. I can only count on 5 or so occasions we have had it in the last 15 years. JAX vs Buffalo 2018, TB vs Philly 2021, TB vs LA 2021, SF vs MIN 2019, SF vs NO 2011, and MIA vs BAL 2008.
  10. I'm not sure if these are replica jerseys. Those typically have came without patches or front numbers.
  11. I'd like to see these or the dirty bird uni's thrown back to at some point.
  12. I wonder when the last time they wore white at home for a primetime game. As far back as I can remember in the early 2000s they always wore teal/aqua or orange.
  13. So the Titans and Texans are going to have the same color scheme?
  14. It would take a long time to look and confirm but this may be the only time LSU has worn purple in a bowl game.
  15. I wonder if Oregon would've went with throwbacks if they had made the playoffs. In their two biggest games in school history they lost when they ditched school colors.
  16. I think the 17th game should be altered a bit. You could do crosstown or instate rivalry automatically every year like Jets Giants, Bucs Fins, Texans Cowboys. I would also suggest if not a designate rival have the game played at a neutral site and not just England. Why cant the Steelers play at State College? Or the Seahawks play in Vancouver? You could also test future potential markets if you ever were to expand like Austin, San Antonio etc.
  17. I feel like the dolphins current set is very dependent on lighting. I think the top picture is a very nice greenish aqua but at night it is too blue.
  18. I was just at Allegiant Stadium for the first time a few weeks ago for Jets Raiders. When you look at the roof it looks like shiny plastic especially at night. Although it is not as great as the US Bank and SoFi roof atleast it is bringing some sort of light, it isn't like you are sitting in the super dome you can get a feel for what time of day it is. The one touch that separates it from the teflon dome is the window that allows you to look at the vegas skyline. The roll in grass is a great feature but I have to say it stunk like onion grass. As far as the Raiders field paint looks I understand they use their official font in their end zones but I always felt this font was way more on brand for them.
  19. I think it is the new shade of "Gotham Green". When we were hunter green nobody seemed to make a stink until it looked like army green with the new nike template. As far as the gotham green I don't mind it but find it looks different depending on lighting. Without a doubt when I go to games the gotham green jerseys are rarely seen amongst the fans. The entire look as a whole just reminds us all of the Gase years.
  20. As a Jets fan I can tell you the fanbase hates the green. Whenever Woody tweets about uniforms everyone moans and groans everytime we are set to wear green. I assume the only reason we wore them vs the Eagles was oddly so they could not claim our color at home? Just speculation. Lets just hope we bring back the 80s set full time. Personally the only aspects of the current uniform I dislike is the "new york" on the front and the pant striping.
  21. The Navy helmets are gross. They are so dark they almost look black and they don't match any other part of the color rush or the throwback uniform.
  22. I wonder if they stripped the old numbers from last years uniforms and put on white ones or just purchased new ones. Does nike even make this template anymore?
  23. I think something like this would have to be utilized. Reliant in Houston used to bring grass in on trays but those also presented their own issues. I know the Rogers Centre tried to have grass about 5 years ago but it wasn't plausible due to the concrete floor. I assume a few other indoor stadiums like the Superdome might face this issue. I think it would have to be weighed if the tray system is safer than turf. I agree every stadium should have grass, but growing up in the 2000's everyone always wanted to play on field turf. The real horror stories were from the astroturf days.
