I really dont see the practicality of spending hundreds of millions of taxpayer money to shrink soldier field for an MLS team. Does not draw really any money and from MLS standards the current stadium is fine.
-
This seems like a BS ploy to not get flack when the Bears leave. There is no way to expand the stadium in the current shell they would have to demolish the pillars.

I think this years design confirms last years uniforms were designed with Atlanta in mind. I guess last minute they decided to throw some purple in the hat.

Nothing beats these to me.

MLB Stadium Saga: Oakland/Tampa Bay/Southside

If the A's were to move to Vegas could they play in the Minor League Park for a few years? Brand new seats 10,000 would be better than lame duck seasons at the Coliseum.- 3,837 replies

Were they that far off? Looking Like MLB's TATC program only missed by a year.

NHL Anti-Thread: Bad Business Decision Aggregator

The most mind boggling thing is that Bettman is allowing this. 3 Years ago before he finally buckled Bettman forced the Islanders to play their second round series against the Canes at Barclays instead of the coliseum because of "luxury boxes" but the yotes are allowed to play in front of 20 percent of that coliseum crowd? I cant imagine they would let them play there if they had a playoff series there. -
The Nationals identity is trash.
-
Apparently Kayvon Thibodeaux is wearing 5 with the Giants. When the number rules were changed it stated . Defensive Linemen: No change. May wear numbers 50 to 79 and 90 to 99. I suppose because he is an edge he will be listed as an outside linebacker then? Even though he plays pretty much a regular DE position.
-
Not only did they win a lot but when they had two down years they pretty much openly tanked and got lottery picks.
-
What happened to the piping?
-
What are the nationals official home uniforms at this point? Do they even wear the Curly W Uni anymore?
-
It's dumb if the Eagles and Jets get black helmets. The green helmets they have already go great with the black uniforms.

The Bears have been Navy dominant for over 100 years.

Washington Commanders to debut new NFL identity
ltjets21 replied to DCarp1231's topic in Sports Logo News
I think they would be pretty tame. Cardinals are the only NFL team left wearing a reebok design, I guess you could count the Texans and Maybe the 49ers and Bills but the Cardinals are the only team still in piping hell -
I kind of liked those, at this point BFBS is what it is but those houses on the schuylkill river are pretty iconic to philly.

I know a lot of people on this board view the city edition uniforms as a brand killer or an overkill but some teams just do it so right. I dont think the sixers have had one bad city uniform. This right here is absolutely gorgeous.
-
I think the supply chain issues have to deal more with producing fan jerseys and merchandise.
-
So Derek Jeter stepped down as the CEO and in that amount of time removed all the character out of their ballpark and uniforms and accomplished nothing on the field. What a schlub.
-
I know it could be much worse but that design is just so outdated that it almost feels weird to still see it.
-
Oh how I dearly miss these. Might've been my favorite uniforms in basketball, don't know how you can completely badger a classic like this.

How do you explain the Chargers use of navy and royal then? Either way there are way better ways to incorporate black than that disaster. -
2021 NFL Season - Adults Arguing About Matt Stafford
ltjets21 replied to PittsburghSucks's topic in Sports In General
I think the whole debate when it comes to Stafford becoming a hall of famer is its not about who you consider to be a hall of famer, it is about who the NFL considers to be a hall of famer. It seems that being in the hall of fame used to be based upon impact on the game more than production and statistics. I'm a lifelong Jets fan but Joe Namath has thrown more Picks than TD's and is under 500. Same goes for a player like Gale Sayers who only rushed for over 1,000 yards twice. Quarterbacks is tricky because the entire game has changed but players like Bradshaw, Fouts, Moon, and Aikman have pretty poor TD to INT ratios. At the end of the day I don't think it's much of an argument. He will get in just like Rivers, Eli, and Ben. No matter what Super Bowls reign supreme and get you in at the end of the day. Especially because the Hall of Fame never had specific bars you had to reach to make the hall. It is a quite lenient club in comparison to baseball and the argument is pointless because at the end of the day we all know the answer. -

So there are stripes on the helmet and jersey but none on the pants and they insist on using solid stripeless socks? Just make it make sense. The W on the front would be fine if it was lower but its just floating in no mans land. Just look how Dartmouth does it.
