  1. Looks like the Diamondbacks tweaked their city unis a little bit for 2022 - they now have matching cream pants. Last year's set they just wore their normal home white pants with the jersey and cap. Posted stills of both for comparison sake... 2022 2021
  2. Mets just got a combined no-no in their updated black alts
  3. That does look "off". It would be the same as a player wearing a white undershirt with a white jersey or a grey undershirt with road greys. Would look really bad. Or at least weird I guess. ** I will say, some colors don't look as offensive or off when worn with the same colored undershirt. Red, dark navy or black jerseys for instance usually look okay this way. Probably just lighter colors that look wrong paired with the same colored light undershirt.
  4. They have worn the alt snake face cap on the road before, but not with the regular road greys since 2016. I noticed they switched to brick socks, belts and undershirts and think it looks better. Their current set looks a lot like the '07-'15 set did now with that change. I am wondering if they'll still wear the black gear with their black alts at home though. They also haven't worn either of their alt jerseys yet either. The new brick cap was supposed to be an alternate, but it seems like it is there new regular cap now for home games. Which I like.
  5. I remember when they announced it would become a regular home alt last June...and then they never did. Hoping they add it into their regular alt rotation for '22!
  6. I seem to recall someone on here last season said the rumor was it would be the Rockies, Nationals, Angels, Padres, Royals and Brewers this season. 3 came true so far, so I think that rumor was correct.
  7. I feel like 7 or 8 times total in an entire 162-game season is not way too much at all. It's actually just right for an alternate.
  8. I like it but would change three things that would improve it. Drop the white trim on the piping, add piping/stripes down the pant legs and ditch the number on the front altogether. There have been many jerseys with logos but without numbers and they usually look good ('90s Angels navy alt, Dbacks black alt and original vest, the current Giants black alt and retired but recent road alt, the Marlins mid-2000s alt, the Padres 2010s unis, the early 2000s first Reds red alt, the most recent Royals blue road alt, the Tigers home whites and the Yankees home whites. Something like this...
  9. I didn't at first, and I still am not sure I do on the blue road alts. But then once I realized it harkens back to their '70s road script as well as the thicker piping on the sleeves and pants, I warmed up to it. I think eventually I will warm up to the varsity font on the blue alts though. I do like that they didn't just do 'Royals' script on that jersey. I'll definitely miss the previous blue alt with the powder trim and the big 'KC' logo on the chest. as I really liked that one a lot.
  10. Hmmm, I like the blue home alts a lot. I'm not sure I would want to see those ones go. I wouldn't mind if they did tweak them though by removing the neck/placket trim and maybe altering the sleeve trim on all their alts. BTW, they wore the blue 'Mets' home alts every year since they have debuted. They wore them in 2020 3 times (probably since the season was so short, they would have worn them at least another 5 or 6 times) and in 2019 they wore them 9 times. There was a moment I thought they had retired them this past season though, but then they finally broke them out in August and ended up wearing them 5 times the last 2 months of the season.
  11. Makes me wonder if they are going to remove the orange from the neck and placket from their blue alts too for '22?
  12. I am going to guess maybe they did it just to differentiate it from the '90s-'00s era black alts and make it semi-unique? This alt reminds me of when the Royals changed their black alt in '06 and removed the blue neck and placket piping but left the sleeve trim.
  13. Oh crap, you are right! I stand corrected. I'm looking at photos from 2008 and though it is hard to see in pics, the patch did change that season (the white border was tweaked around the patch and crown), but the black is still there. Odd they dropped black from everything except for the patch. Wonder why.
  14. They changed the patch slightly in 2008 and one of the changes was the removal of the black drop shadow on the 'KC'. That was also the same season they began wearing blue belts and cleats again and essentially dropped all black from from their uniforms.
  15. They did. Here's a brief timeline of their most recent powder blue alts. There have been 3 different ones since they introduced the first one in 2008. The 2010-2011 alt is the same one as 2008-2009, but they wore it with a new alt powder cap for those 2 years.
  16. I keep wondering what the new Rockies addition might be. I honestly think it will be one of 2 things. 1), they kill the black vests and come out with a new, black ALT jersey (and I would hope only use it on the road and make the purple ALT exclusive to home games). Or 2), since they started wearing ALT all-white pants with their black & purple alts a few years ago, maybe an all-white ALT jersey with no pinstripes to go with those pants? Sort of like how the Mets had one for a while.
  17. I think someone posted a rumor a month or so ago that 2022's City teams were possibly going to be Anaheim, Milwaukee, Colorado, Kansas City, San Diego and 1 other team that I can't 100% remember but I think was Washington. Just a rumor, but I guess we'll see what happens in a few months.
  18. I noticed the Cleveland Indians are missing some of their more recent uniform logos and scripts on here.
  19. I noticed the Disqus issue in the last month or 2 as well. It's super annoying because it was a good place to see corrections pointed out. I also would link to photos of the unis in action or if the years or uni pictured on here was incorrect. For an example, I noticed MLB.com has an article about the Tiger's 95 alternate today. I want to post the link and article for that uni on here, but because Disqus is not working now on the site, I am unable to. Hopefully this eventually gets addressed and fixed at some point.
  20. Some that I noticed are missing on the site still (I know there are more, just ones I noticed): Boston Red Sox - grey road jersey script from the 70's. Some other miscellaneous from the 40's-60's Florida Marlins - original silver script from the original teal 1993 BP jersey Milwaukee Brewers - Some of the 1970's stuff. San Diego Padres - Most of the scripts and wordmarks from 1969-1978 Chicago White Sox - A lot of scripts from their early history as well as the 1980's San Francisco Giants - Scripts from their early days up to the mid-1970's. The script from the new alt Orange jersey from '14. Chicago Cubs - Red script from the blue BP jersey from the mid-1990's. Houston Astros - The off-white road scripts from the 1980's-1990's. The script from the '97-'99 grey away jerseys. The script from the BP jersey from the 1980's. Cincinnati Reds - Various scripts/wordmarks from their early history up to the 1970's. Also missing some from the 1980's and up through 1998. (The '93-'98 jerseys are on the site though). Oakland Athletics - Missing most of the 1960's-1986 eras. Also missing the new Road cap logo and the new green alt jersey script/logo. Detroit Tigers - Missing the road wordmark/script from the raod jerseys from the 1970's-early 1990's era. Arizona Diamondbacks - Missing the scripts from the BP black jersey from 1998 & 1999. 1998 had "Diamond" in purple and "Backs" in teal, while 1999 had both in purple. These are in the jersey section, though. St Louis Cardinals - Various ones missing from the past. Milwaukee Braves - Cap logos and scripts from jerseys. Los Angeles Dodgers - Cap logo from the current BP set. The blue BP jersey logos from the late 90's to mid 2000's. By the way, I hope I don't sound ungrateful or unappreciative listing this. I love the work on this site and am very thankful somebody takes the time to provide us with this kind of info on and about something we all love and respect - baseball uniforms. Just trying to help out.
