  1. Something that's been bugging me for a while, is the lack of a definitive list of every college and pro American football team in Japan. The X-League website only lists the teams in X1, but no mention of the X2 and X3 teams. The website lacks anything beyond X1 information. Further, the JAFA does provide an official list of all teams among the 8 Japanese leagues. And even if you do go to the various league websites, not all the teams are listed, only a focus is given on the top level. I'm very curious about the "official" count of all pro and college teams in Japan, but it seems that neither governing body has bothered to make a list for record-keeping purposes. For those of you more knowledgeable than me, am I missing something? Is there an official list that I'm missing? Where can I find every team?
  2. Why is that? It's certainly not true now. Look at MSU in the last 15 years and tell me that no conference wants them now.
  3. So you're fine with the status quo? With the rich getting richer, the poor getting poorer, and less opportunity for growth? Why defend a broken system? Would the G5 teams loose more often than not in this format? Initially, yes. But you have to think long term. Giving the MAC a guaranteed spot every year with change the conference and produce better teams over time. When you give teams like Akron, Ball State, and Ohio TV exposure and money, it will change those programs and elevate them. Not quickly or all at once, but it eventually there won't be this massive gap between FBS conferences. P5 and G5 are an artificial concept, all the teams are D1 FBS. Yet they are not treated equal. All FBS teams play the same game, with the same rules, the only difference is the amount of money they make. The system NEEDS to be fixed. And I don't understand why this kind of change is being resisted.
  4. What I want to know is why you don't hear G5 conference commissioners fighting for this? If they win their conference, then yes. If they can win games and actually get to the NC, then yes. Everyone deserves the opportunity.
  5. What I would like is for each FBS conference to get an auto bid to the 12 team playoff.
  6. It's this kind of stuff that really annoys me. Yes, let's just push people down even further. Nothing like moving the goal posts for teams trying to move up.
  7. Arlington: Why is the "R" the primary logo and the old primary is the secondary now? Just switch them. DC: Primary and secondary should be switched. I liked how the secondary is the old primary, but now in the shape of The Pentagon. Houston: I liked the old logo, but this is fine. Orlando: I hope it grows on me. Just nothing about "Guardians" feels like Florida like the Apollos, Tuskers, or Vipers did. San Antonio: It's ok. The name is odd, but the logo is ok. Seattle: Downgrade from previous. At least it's more obvious what the primary team colors are. But why add "Sea"? Dragons was fine. St. Louis. I actually like this better than the previous. Sharper. Vegas: Okay, I like this.
  8. Potentially leaked team names: https://xflnewsroom.com/news/some-xfl-team-names-potentially-leak-prior-to-announcement/ I dunno. Orlando Guardians? Why?
  9. Check out the the words here in the link: https://www.espn.com/xfl/story/_/id/34584272/dr-jen-welter-first-woman-hold-coaching-position-nfl-named-las-vegas-outlaws-linebackers-coach-xfl-finalizes-coaching-staffs Did ESPN just let slip the name of the Vegas team? Outlaws are back?
  10. As someone who was at the game, the only problem was those white stripes. They should have been gold. It was distracting.
  11. As an MSU alumni, I don't particularly like these sets. The helmet is ok, but there are better throwback uniforms they could have worn. You'd think that the equipment managers for each team would have gotten together and better coordinated to make it easier on the eyes and the game film.
  12. I was reminded of "Jerseygate" from 2007 where Virginia Tech's uniforms were stolen and had to borrow Georgia Tech's uniforms. So I'm trying to find film from the game. Highlights, the full game, or even a video that went in-depth on what happened. But after an hour of searching Youtube and Google... nothing. Sure there are articles and pictures, but no actual video of the game. Nothing is showing up in video form of that game. It was on ESPN, it should be somewhere to view. Is VT trying to bury the footage or something? Seriously, I would like to know if anyone has a link to video footage of this game.
  13. What are the chances that the SWAC becomes an FBS conference in the next decade? Personally, I'd love to see it, but based on current criteria, there are only a handful of schools in the conference that could do it at the moment. What legislation do you think would have to change to get these schools up to FBS? https://footballscoop.com/news/coach-prime-deion-sanders-hbcu-swac-expansion
  14. What threads are those on? I searched MLFB and Major League Football and just found fantasy league stuff.
  15. Is no one going to talk about what happened with MLFB? I don't understand why leagues keep failing. Don't they know they need to have money saved up? Why are people not learning their lessons? Spring football DOES work, but it just won't stick. It's getting depressing.
  16. So the WAC lost Lamar today. What is going on with the WAC? Schools keep leaving so quickly but there's been no real reason that I can find. Anyone know what's up?
  17. The problem with the Salt Lake Stallions was that the AD and/or president (I can't remember which one) would't allow the AAF to paint the field. They were allowed to put up signs and banners, but could't touch the field. And I'll defend that the Stallions had the BEST colors and uniforms in the AAF!
  18. Buddy of mine signed with the XFL and said that he will be on the Orlando team. Take that as you will, but seems like good enough conformation.
  19. Anyone know why Kirby Wilson has had this "X" on his jacket for the last five weeks?
  20. Am I missing some context? I mean, first, how many players actually wear championship rings outside of special functions anyway? Most people just put them in display case or safe. Second, "participation trophy"? Isn't winning the AL the same as winning the AFC or something? What am I missing?
  21. It was about being his 3rd strike on team rules violations. And disrespecting a food service worker, when you're guests at the hotel is not something that any team should put up with.
