  1. My guesses based on the images in the video and the teases: = + Los Angeles Something to do with bikers: Angels? = + Tampa Something to do with the swamp: Vipers/Crocs/Leatherheads = + Seattle Dragons = + Dallas Something about oil or blue color factory work: Wildcatters, Roughnecks, Drillers = + New York Gargoyles or Sentries = + Houston Something to do with the Air Force/NASA? = + Washington Military theme: Generals/Soldiers/Marines/Calvary = + St. Louis You got me! No idea what this could be.
  2. I hope this is Joe's work. He did an amazing job with the AAF and I'm sure he will do a better job with the XFL, if this is indeed his work.
  3. I really hope that the two tone green and yellow will be some kind of insect themed team. That would be awesome! Side thought, how many insect themed teams do we have anyway?
  4. One of the lessons I took from the AAF was that the team colors will not be what you expect. For example, my assumption about Atlanta (before I was hired) was that the city of Atlanta itself is pretty much red all around. The Falcons, Braves, United, Delta, Coke, CNN, and nearby UGA are all red. So my thought was that Alliance Atlanta would feature red. But after talking to the Legends staff after the fact, one of the major points they wanted to emphasize is to NOT associate themselves with red, in an attempt to make them diffrent and unique. So while I think that the green logo may be the Seattle franchise, that's only because of my ideas and notions of what colors a Seattle team should be. Much like how people think that the LA team will be black and grey (because of the LA Raiders) and that one of the Texas teams would have the light blue/teal color because of the Oilers. I think the XFL, much like the AAF, will take our expectations and give us logos and colors that we would't think.
  5. I remember back to how the AAF hinted at their logos and no one really got it right. Because of the rumors, everyone thought the Fleet logo was the Salt Lake "Swarm" logo because of the hexagon like pattern. And everyone thought that the mane of the Stallions logo was a wing. Sure that could be a G in the black and grey logo, but really, take any logo, NCAA or NFL, zoom in really close, and you can find letters and what not in it. The XFL is doing what MCU trailers do, mislead on purpose.
  6. I do hope that the Seattle team does have a "northwest" color scheme. Greens, blues, purples, grays/silvers, those are the colors I think of when I think of the Pacific Northwest, and I hope that the Seattle team has one of those as their primary color. I think the red in the "eye" of the first one will be the only red on that logo. Just because I don't see them having more than one team wearing red as a primary or secondary color, like the AAF. I would think that the red would be an accent color. And I just get this feeling that the black and gray logo will be going to the St. Louis team. Just a feeling.
  7. There is zero media coverage on the new logo or new uniforms. All I could find was this article from April: http://isubengal.com/the-identity-of-isus-bengals/
  8. Chatted with friends of mine on staff for the Seattle, New York, and Tampa teams, none of them know what the names or logos for their teams are. Apparently they are a guarded "secret". I wonder what the delay is. I mean, if you release the logos and names, then you can release merchandise for those teams and you know people will start buying things. I for one would buy each team's mini helmet.
  9. If they do use Dragons, I would really like it to be a Chinese dragon as a way of tying into the large asian population in the city. I'm also partial to Surge, but would love it if they used Wild, if only to play this every time there is a touchdown: https://youtu.be/YeoYAcHe40o
  10. I worked in the MEAC and yes, they dropped to 9 teams since the new contract with the Celebration Bowl. There has been talk about expanding, or at the very least, teams that are interested in joining the MEAC. I won't name names, but there is at least one non-HBCU in the FCS that wants in.
  11. I was reading the bio for Charlie Jackson, the new head football coach at Kentucky State, when I came upon this little nugget: Link: https://ksuthorobreds.com/coaches.aspx?rc=434&path=football That's news to me. I tried to Google further articles and information about KSU's plan to reclassify, but I can't find anything. Has anyone else heard about this?
  12. Southern Utah and Weber State were co-champions of the Big Sky in 2017, here are there rings.
  13. "This one's for Pat" Okay, I'm blanking on this, who is Pat? And why was this for him? I remember "This one's for John", but that was because Elway retired after that game.
  14. Anyone have a photo of San Jose State's Cure Bowl championship ring?

Here are my three championship rings: The one in the center is the 2011 Big Sky Championship right (Montana State) To the right is the 2012 Big Sky Championship ring (Montana State) and on the left is the 2008 Mid Continental Football League, National Conference Championship ring (Louisville Bulls, a semi-pro football team)
