  1. Catching up on some new NCAA banners from the Final Four teams... Texas Tech: Auburn: UVA: I can't find one of Michigan State's newest Final Four hanging, looks like they may have changed the design
  2. Not sure if this thread still gets looked at, but the Nats page is missing the uniform that they won the World Series in http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/578/Washington_Nationals/
  3. December 1st, 2007. https://www.espn.com/college-football/recap?gameId=273350277 I'm going to brag and boast and say that nothing can top this perfect storm of awfulness. Let me quickly set the scene: WVU is ranked #2 in the BCS, #2 in the AP poll, and #1 in the Coaches poll. A win against bitter rival Pitt guarantees a trip to the National Championship. Pitt is 4-7 and a 28 point underdog. I'm a wide eyed freshman ready to burn some frickin couches. Long story short -- Offense can't get moving, defense can't stop LeSean McCoy, Pat McAfee misses some kicks and next thing you know, WVU loses 13-9 and Rich Rod is on his way to Michigan. Try and find a comparable loss, its difficult. In what other instance can you be one win away from a championship appearance only to lose to a terrible giant underdog? With the FBS Playoff now in effect it can't happen there. A similiar loss today would just prevent you from making the Playoff, not the title game. It can't happen in the Final Four, any team you play there would be better by comparison than a 4-7 28 point underdog. Etc, etc. Let this be the hill I die on, worst sports loss ever!!! Ipso facto, worst day of my life as a sports fan. And obviously, its not like WVU is some consistent powerhouse that always gets cracks at title runs. That adds to the sting.
  4. Before the World Series the Nats updated their division title banners to create more consistency. For some reason the 2012 banner used to be red while the other 3 were white. They switched all 4 to blue. Looks better but I'd still prefer something a little cleaner/simpler As for the new World Series title, I believe the banner will take the place of the embarassing blank pennant above the scoreboard. It'll rarely be able to be read, but I assume it'll say WS Champs 2019
  5. http://news.sportslogos.net/2019/11/04/a-river-runs-through-it-introducing-the-missoula-paddleheads/ Whole bunch of alternate logos in the article too. Including this one: Seems like a lot going on
  6. The Warriors banners at their new arena look the same. Not sure where they hang Western Conf champs, which still seems worthy of a banner. Also, I prefer the Raptors approach of committing to one year on the banner, just a big ole 2019
  7. Those rings are massive. In the words of Drake: 'Cause I got a really big teamAnd they need some really big rings
  8. Yeah Battle Hawks isn't great, but I don't think I'd classify it as the worst team name in all of sports
  9. Renegades and Roughnecks have nice logos. Overall, most of these aren't bad. DC might have the worst, but at least they kept it red and white like the DC flag, no red white and blue theme.
  10. Can't wait to ironically root for the STL team! Especially after they got screwed by the NFL. One day I'd like to see an XFL-NFL showdown where the St. Louis Great Gazoos take down the Rams.
  11. Slightly off topic: Looking back at past XFL pictures, I stumbled upon this. I can't believe they practically filled Pac Bell Park! The AAF would have killed for that kind of turn out. In my head I've always remembered the XFL as a catastrophic failure, but it looks like it had some potential.
  12. If you lead a team to a ring, it's definitely not your wrong uniform
  13. Now that Max Muncy is an All Star as a Dodger, I think it's fair to include his time in Oakland as the wrong uniform. Also, 57 HR's as a Dodger vs 5 as an Athletic.
  14. The shtick clearly works as intended. But that doesn't change the fact that some are terrible, cheesy, and doing bad impressions of the good shticky ones.
  15. This feels like Step 1 of them eventually becoming the Montreal Expos (full time, not partially)
  16. Personally, I really like the gold logos. A little something different to add to the glamour of The Finals. I miss the court having any Finals logos or wordmarks, so having these gold logos seems better than nothing.
  17. The secondary white uniform is brutal. The D logo is a really awkward shape. Seems like it exists just to compliment side stripes. And I don't understand why teal is in the home uniforms but not the road, and the second home has no red. All very confusing. The standard home isn't too bad, pretty clean. Reminds me of Villanova of this era:
  18. The Blazers page doesn't have their new logo, without the wordmark as an alternate. http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/239/Portland_Trail_Blazers/
  19. http://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/578/Washington_Nationals/ The plain curly W by itself isn't on the Nats page: I know the primary is: but I feel like the W by itself warrents its own slot in the alternate logos portion of the Nationals page. Closest thing is in jersey logos: I realize that's more or less the same thing, but it still should be on its own in the alternate logos section in my opinion.
