  1. I do remember the Aeros always being well supported, as far as AHL goes at least.
  2. I just get the vibe that Atlanta just isn't a hockey town and never will be.
  3. Oh lol...I thought you were talking about the Habs.
  4. Waaaay better. I think the sails would be better with straight edges, as this kind of gives off a pirate vibe. But it works better than the cruise liner.
  5. Can anyone do a quick and dirty mockup with orange in the place of red?
  6. Agree fully about the ship. The bow needs to be less pronounced so that you can tell the sails are sails and not decks of a cruise liner.
  7. Solid, but the logo is a miss. I like the idea, but the execution is off. As mentioned by others, it looks like a yacht or a cruise liner. I think a side profile of a clipper would work waaaay better.
  8. If Atlanta does end up getting a team in the future, do you guys think they'd adopt the Thrashers moniker? I know they weren't exactly a model for success, but it's a great name for a hockey team. I loved that logo too.
  9. I wonder if people in Columbus actually care about them. I'm surprised they haven't been a topic of any relocation talk.
  10. No one cares about the Blue Jackets. Why is it in Columbus?
  11. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/winnipeg-jets-owner-says-attendance-must-improve-to-avoid-future-problems/ Omaha Jets?
  12. Man, after looking at the renderings for the new Royals Stadium, downtown KC and the arena look incredible. I think the NHL would absolutely thrive there.
  13. Amazing. Nice and clean. Hoping they go with something like this.
  14. It was never really a relocation. It's essentially still DC. You could throw a rock from their current arena to the proposed site. The Rhinos were an idea for the Hampton Roads/Norfolk/Newport News area, which is farther from DC than Philly is.
  15. You can't put Elmont, New York in a class of it's own lol. It's essentially a hamlet in the 9th largest metropolitan area in the world.
  16. I always thought this, but with a straight edge bottom (without the 'head hole') would make a perfect logo. Slap it up front and call it a day.
  17. Don't execute me for this, but does anyone think the Blue Jackets may have been better received if they were named 'Ohio'? I know Ohio has many large cities and they may have drawn more support from places like Cincy, Cleveland, Dayton, Akron, etc.
  18. Also depending on how the Hamilton/Brantford situation shakes out, I could see whichever city doesn't end up with a team getting one. i.e. if the Bulldogs go back to Hamilton, Brantford gets a team. If they decide to stay, Hamilton gets a team. The Bulldogs are selling out (I know it's a small arena). If the novelty doesn't wear out, it could be a full time city. Thunder Bay would be cool, but waaaay too far away considering teams don't fly. I do believe that the GTA could still house a team, but they don't work in places like Mississauga or Brampton. Perhaps in the North York region. It's a hockey crazed city and the Leafs are extremely over priced, if you can even get a seat.
