Best uniform matchup in the league for SNF. Let's go.

Packers/Raiders the following night is gorgeous as well.

I like Ravens in white jersey and purple pants versus the Steelers black and yellow, if Baltimore brings out the purple pants, and assuming Pittsburgh doesn't go monochrome black. I also would like the Eagles in the midnight green pants versus the Rams royal blue jersey with yellow pants. But PHI is reluctant to wear the green pants most of the time.

For the third straight year, Detroit will be wearing its white practice pants at Lambeau Field in prime time. Disgraceful.

This likely either means Green Bay isn’t wearing Color Rush white this year, or it will be worn for a road prime time game.

The only road game they wore the all white color rush for was at Seattle in 2018. And the only other home game in primetime GB has this year is against the Chiefs, which they could still potentially wear them for.

Another poster said teams doing white at home to make the fans in the stands do a white-out is something that's nice to do once in a while, but teams should not go overboard with it. I like to see teams wear their white jerseys/uniform at home to see how it matches with their home stadium and field. Seeing the Panthers vs Seahawks game, I thought Seattle's white jersey/navy pants combo on their field looked good. Watching the Chargers vs Vikings game, I thought how the Chargers all white looked good in US Bank Stadium. It makes me miss seeing their all white for their home games at SoFi Stadium.

Aren’t the Seahawks about to wear white home for the first time EVER?

I said teams who previously wore white jerseys/uniform at home, in their own stadium and not counting a neutral site game such as the Super Bowl. I excluded Seattle because they hadn't done it prior.

We'll find out if it will be the case in week 3 when they play Carolina. Teams wearing their white tops at home to honor/celebrate a championship might become more of a thing. The Giants did it two years ago against the Rams. And the Rams did this last year when they opened against the Bills.

While it was a hot day, the Broncos weren’t wearing white because of the heat. They did a 25th Anniversary Celebration for Super Bowl XXXIII, where they wore the white jerseys.

If this is to be believed, Sean Payton had a say and made the decision. https://www.9news.com/article/sports/nfl/denver-broncos/mike-klis/denver-broncos-vs-washington-commanders-nfl-game-story/73-69fe45b5-3411-4597-864f-950f2c7682db

Even in defeat, Payton is a coach who tries to think of everything, right down to the uniform colors. The Broncos wore white uniforms instead of their dark orange or blue colors at home Sunday. Why? Because the Broncos were celebrating the 25-year anniversary of their Super Bowl XXXIII team this weekend. In that Big Game, John Elway and the Broncos wore white uniforms while dominating Atlanta for a 34-19 win.

That would explain why the Broncos wore the white uniform for their home game against the Rams in the preseason.

  5. After the Broncos wore their white uniform at home in Denver, they break a drought of not wearing white at home.

Teams who have gone the longest without wearing their white jersey/uniform at home in their own stadium since they last did so.

    1. Pittsburgh Steelers (1969)

    2. Kansas City Chiefs (2006)

    3. Arizona Cardinals (2009)

    4. New England Patriots (2011)

    5. Philadelphia Eagles (2015)

The teams after the top 5 are in 2019, but they have 4 years and their drought isn't that long.

God those Ram uniforms are so ugly. Hopefully they have another down year so we don't have to think about them too much

I think the Rams will do better this year than people think. Last week wasn't surprising because they always play well against the Seahawks.

And I don't find the Rams uniform as bad as people say they are.

  7. I was guessing that Chicago could wear orange in Tampa. I didn't think they would do it.

Last time Jacksonville didn't wear white jerseys at home was in 2010. I would like to see the Jaguars wear teal pants with the white jersey like they did against Arizona in 2021, for the week 3 game against the Texans.

Buffalo isn't wearing white for the home opener now. But they did it in the preseason against IND. I don't get that. This being the case, hopefully they cut down on the obsession with the all blue.

Thought for sure this would be a white pants game this early in the season for a 1pm kickoff. These were the only two games with the current uniforms that they didn't choose orange pants for, both in 2021:

They have yet to wear that combo against Pittsburgh. Cleveland seems to like wearing orange pants with the brown jersey against an AFC North rival.

Who was the last non AFC North rival the Browns wore the brown jersey and orange pants combo against?

I feel even stronger now that they should do the schedule so it's something close to this:

    First 3 games: interconference

    next 3 games: intraconference

next 3 games: division round 1

    next 2 games: interconference

    next 3 games: intraconference

final 3 games: division round 2

I know with bye weeks and London it's very difficult to actually do that, but it lets teams work out the kinks in less-meaningful interconference games, before playing more meaningful intracconference match ups, and then super meaningful divisional games.

I like the way things are just fine.

  10. The Bears are the only team left who hasn't revealed their jersey games, among the teams who release uniform/jersey info. Who usually gives out their uniform schedule.

Before they do I'll take a guess on their third and fourth jersey games. I'm guessing that Chicago wears orange jerseys against the Panthers for their Amazon Prime game. Maybe at Tampa, like what they did at Miami in 2018. As for their white throwback uniform, the Broncos, Panthers, and Falcons game can be ruled out for that. The possibilities for the white throwback games are one of the NFC North opponents, the Raiders, and the Cardinals.

No white at home for the Ravens in Week 1, which I believe hasn't happened since 2016. I would've welcomed it here, especially with purple pants. Ravens last wore white against Houston in 2014.

The Texans will wear their navy for 5 of 9 home games,  and maybe one more depending on what happens in Jacksonville. Next year they will have new uniforms, I guess I don't mind in this instance.

As for Baltimore. They worn their alternates more times than what is supposedly allowed since 2017, save for the 2020 season. I think they go with purple for this game to make way for more of the combos to be shown in the home games.  They probably want to get in more of the purple jersey/black pants and all purple (regular ones, not the color rush ones) in there, which haven't been worn that much.

Yup, they are going white at home vs. San Fran. That’s two errors on SF’s uni schedule.

Still using the bone jersey unfortunately.

Bone at Arizona again. And I was sure they would wear the white jerseys at IND, but that will not be the case.

WAH for Cleveland, now that is a surprise. Then again, they did something similar against the Jets in 2020. But I don't mind because that will be a good looking game. White at Dallas.  It will be 4 straight meetings LAR hasn't worn the royal blue against the Cowboys.

Seeing that the Rams still do WAH in SOFI bums me out that the Chargers aren't doing it. We've already seen the Chargers in their powder blues against the Dolphins plenty of times.
