  1. Wentz with one of the worst picks I’ve ever seen lmao. People really use to argue that he was better than Dak. Vehemently argue no less.
  2. Maybe that’s in the regular season because I know off the top of my head they were down 24-0 to the Texans in the Divisional Round like in 2019 (could have been 2018 too, I don’t remember).
  3. You must not remember MNF versus the Bills in ‘07. That was the ugliest win I’ve ever seen to this day. I’ll never forget it lol. I wouldn’t worry too much about the penalties. The refs were being extremely ticky-tacky today and making some literal BS calls (including taking away a Cowboys touchdown (the 3rd down play, not the 4th down one)). I think Belicheck had to have pointed out to something the officials this week because we had some calls against us that you never see and that were the definition of “soft” calls. What impressed me was that this was the Cowboys first true stinker of the season and yet they still won. This team can go as far as it wants to. The only thing that can stop them is themselves (and maybe the Cardinals). Obviously, if the Cowboys did this against Arizona or Buffalo, they’re getting blown out. Gotta clean up those self-inflicted mistakes and this team is golden. This team reminds me of the ‘16 and ‘07 teams, but with an elite top 3, MVP caliber QB and a true juggernaut on offense. This team is for real.
  4. It’s not who they beat, it’s how they have beat these teams in this win streak. I know the Giants were injured/a bad team and aren’t anything special, but this is a game the Cowboys would have made far closer than it should have been in the last 10 years. Good teams blowout bad teams/injured teams. They had a couple of setbacks today that would have been their downfall in recent years (early INT and unforced fumble at the GL), but it didn’t matter. The Cowboys shrugged it off like it never happened, which the Cowboys have never done in the last decade. And lest you forget, the Cowboys are missing 6 starters but again, it doesn’t matter. A single injury use to decimate them. Now they can handle multiple like it’s nothing. I know it’s the Cowboys and they always get exposed as frauds at some point, without fail. It’s what they do, which is why I’m even hesitant saying this. They have been frauds/disappointing basically my entire life, but there is something different about this team. I haven’t felt this way about a team since the 2017 Eagles and definitely never about a Cowboys team.
  5. This Cowboy team has the potential to be the best Cowboys’ team I’ve seen in my lifetime. They look special. I know McCarthy might not be the best coach in the world, but there is an astounding difference in how this team looks under him versus Garrett. They’re well prepared, don’t overlook lesser opponents, and they’re the better coached team with a clear advantage in game planning. I am not used to this lmao. And they’re not even playing all that well, yet they’re absolutely blowing out bad teams like a good team should do. With how they started today, this was a game they would have blown under Garrett. Easily. But instead they put away a weakened Giants rather easily.
  6. I don’t know if this is gonna be the general chat for World Cup Qualifying, but Pepi is the truth. He further proved again tonight he’s the USMNT’s #9. A brace for Pepi in his second ever game for the US. He’s easily the best 9 we’ve had since young Jozy, and he’ll probably end up being far far far better. As a side note, Canada is really damn good. Like, surprisingly good. They got a point in Azteca, probably unlucky to not get the 3 points.
  7. Madden finally included that uniform and it’s gorgeous. That dark royal is the perfect blue for the Cowboys. Because the Cowboys finally went away from the very green seafoam pants to what they wear now, the home uniform does look better, but if we do what old school is advocating for, we’d go back to being a top 5 uniform again. Do you know when the Cowboys went away from that dark royal and metallic blue-silver? Was it some time in the late 80’s? Despite the mismatching colors on the white, that’s still their best uniform tho.
  8. Not to the extent that fans complain about. They complain about it as if national broadcasters are biased like local sports radio. Which they aren’t, not even close.
  9. Everybody thinks the announcers are biased against their team lmao. They definitely are not, but as a fan you have selective hearing (i.e. you hear what you want to hear, or praises on the other team stick out more, same with criticisms against yours and etc.)
  10. How did the refs screw you? They messed up badly on that fumble early in the game, but it’s tough to say you lost because of the refs when the Cowboys were up 36-14 in the 4th. That was a blowout until two garbage time TD’s late in the 4th. Cowboys got a real chance to start stacking up wins. That was the best team the Cowboys will face until the Broncos (if they’re still good) or the Chiefs around mid-November.
  11. Oh I would love that . The Packers deserve some losing seasons after going from HOF QB to HOF QB.
  12. Yearly reminder to not overreact to games in Week 1/September. Having said that, the Browns look really good. This is a title contender.
  13. That’s incredible good luck! Refs, when it comes to OPI, look for clear extension coupled with the defender clearly being moved out of the way. Godwin’s left arm was fully extended into Jordan’s chest, which he then fell afterwards. It’s a textbook OPI. I think that’s fair, but the only thing for me was that because the Bucs had no timeouts left, an offensive penalty would have incurred a 10-second runoff (the play happened with 20 seconds left and the clock was running) followed with a running clock on the refs whistle (which would have forced the Bucs to spike it), and then couple that with the Bucs LOS being at the Cowboys’ 42-yard line at the snap which would have pushed TB back to the Bucs 48 after the penalty. I know Brady is the GOAT. But even he would struggle with winning a game with less than 10 seconds left, no timeouts and you’re on the wrong side of the 50. That really was an egregious missed call. And FTR, I’m so effing tired of another shoulda, woulda, coulda with the Cowboys lmao. It’s been their story for the last 26 years. I’m sick of it.
  14. That must have been an amazing experience! Super jealous lol. But it was OPI dude. It was pretty blatant. Even if I take out my homerism, that’s a textbook OPI. I’ve seen less called.
  15. It’s more of a game that the Cowboys will regret not winning that game because of how well they played, the yard difference between the two, winning the turnover battle +3 and committing less penalties/penalty yards than Tampa. Bucs were the first team in NFL history to win a game despite giving up over 450 yards, -3 in the turnover column and having 100+ yards in penalties. And falling over my booty cheeks lmao. Watch it again, Lewis didn’t start to fall until after Godwin pushed him. Cowboys still might have lost regardless, but man it would have made it far tougher for the Bucs and that’s simply an egregious missed call. If that happened in the 2nd or 3rd, that gets called every time. Go look up the Gallup OPI against Ramsey from last season if you need a recall. They called that an OPI and not Godwin’s, which is why us Cowboy fans are pretty irritated at that inconsistency.
  16. Two years in a row got screwed on OPI calls in Week 1 lmao. Cowboys really lost because they couldn’t convert red zone opportunities into touchdowns and Greg “the leg” cost Dallas 4 points by missing chip shots. Dak looked like every bit like the elite QB the Cowboys paid him to be. Outstanding performance from him. You couldn’t tell he missed the last 11 months. Overall tho, while I’m bummed about the loss because the Cowboys really should have won, as long as Dak is healthy, the Cowboys are easily winning this division and making the playoffs. Cowboys don’t play another elite team until KC like in Week 11 or something. They have zero excuses if they don’t have at least 8-9 wins by that game.
  17. The Cowboys social media team lied lmao. They’re in their normal road blues.
  18. I know we already knew the Cowboys will be in navy, and the Bucs in white, but the Cowboys also just announced they’ll be wearing their white pants. Not a bad matchup tonight.
  19. To be fair, Dest was playing out of position. He’s a right back who for some odd reason was forced to play on the opposite side and at left wing back (smdh). Yedlin is a serviceable RB, but Dest is far far better. McKinnie and Brooks are two of the USMNT’s best players. They were definitely in poor form in this last week, but they’re both far too good to keep off the roster. I’d still have faith that they’d both get back to their form come October. Hopefully last night proved to Berhalter that when you put your players in their best positions and ask them to do what they’re best at, the team responds. My biggest criticism with Berhalter is that he’s trying to make the US players fit his system rather than playing a system that best fits them.
  20. I agree about the 4-3-3 needing to be our base, but I think we’re at our best playing a 4-2-3-1 especially now since we finally found our 9. This lets Adam’s and McKinnie play the 6 and 8, which is what they’re best at, keep Pulisic and Aaronson as the wingers, play Reyna as the 10 and Pepi at the 9. Then your back line would be Antonee, Myles, Brooks and Dest. This would be a lethal lineup once they get comfortable together.
  21. Paramount+ carries it. I’ve had it since last year for Champions League. But finally, the USMNT won and won emphatically. After one of the worst halves of football I’ve seen since that debacle in Trinidad, they responded beautifully. Pepi is our new #9. Without a shadow of a doubt. What a debut for him. And Antonee Robinson was sensational. He’s our starting LB going forward. Going forward, the US needs to stop playing in these cute formations, and come out like they did in the 2nd.
  22. Lawwwwd, I’m so tired of the US failing to win road games in WCQ against teams we’d demolish on a neutral field. We have players who couldn’t even make the 23-man roster who would be El Savadors all-time best player. And our attack desperately needs Pulisic on the left wing, playing with Reyna as a 10. He’s the only player we have who has the confidence and skill to directly attack the man marking him. That’s what Pulisic does best. I’m just tired of the excuse “it was a road game in CONCACAF”. This is going to be our Golden Generation, we better get the full points on Sunday at home and on the road again next Wednesday in Honduras.
  23. Really impressed that the US won this game. They were going up against an experienced and talented Mexican squad who had a mix of veteran first-team starters (from Europe no less) and younger backups (they were only missing a few of their normal starters) and still beat them with a young squad full of backups and players who won’t even make the WCQ roster. Really shows the depth we have in our pool now. The US is about to have the problem of having too many quality players to choose from. Crazy how much has changed since 2017.
  24. I don’t really care if the US wins the Gold Cup especially since this isn’t anything near our best team, BUT I was bored and had an opportunity to watch tonight’s game so I did. A couple of players really stood out to me. Dike has a real opportunity to become the USMNT’s number 9. He needs some more technical development, but man all that dude does is just score goals. He puts away his chances and that’s what the US needs from a number 9 badly especially with the world class attacking talent our roster has. Hopefully, he transfers to a European team in a top 5 league to help further his development. Busio is special. Straight up. I thought he was the US’s best player tonight by far. He’s honestly too good to be on this version of the roster. He deserves to be apart of the USMNT’s first team selection going forward and I imagine he will be. He’s yet another young and excellent US attacking player. I know he’s being linked to multiple European clubs so it’s only a matter of time before he transfers overseas. Pretty soon, the US will have the glorious problem of having too many elite, borderline world class or world class attacking talent to choose from. I did not think I’d be saying something like that so soon after the failed WCQ debacle in 2017.
  25. For me, I felt like the CR set for the Giants, and the prior LT/Simms set the color rush is replicating, was the definition of a generic football uniform. Literally a basic red, white and blue uniform with a simple GIANTS wordmark across the helmet. I know that's ironic considering their current set is consisting of just a plain blue jersey with white numbering, and a white jersey with red numbering, but with that being paired with the fantastic helmet, logo and the pant combos makes for, IMHO, a quintessential football uniform. It also helps that the current set is essentially a uniform the Giants wore for years prior to the 70's, giving it that old-timey, yesteryear look shared with the other old NFL franchises. And again, I absolutely love the blue dominant at home, with the contrasting red dominant on the road look.
