That's not what you stated originally. You falsely claimed that no QB can throw a football 80 yards, not just in a live game. I proved that someone, in fact, can. No one moves the goalposts quite like you on these boards. It's an impressive commitment to it, to be fair.

A quick google search would have told you the answer (which is yes). Mahomes did it at his pro day, and there is video from that work out clearly showing it. Vick could also as well. He had that play to Desean Jackson on MNF back in 2010 or so against Washington. Basically flicked it from his own 4 and the ball hit Jackson around the opposite 20 yard. Not quite 80, yes, but he didn’t really even load into the throw or have any forward momentum aiding the throw. Just casually flicked it 75 air yards with no problem.

This 49ers-Raiders game is nuts. Adams just had what might be the catch of the year. It’s rather shocking too, how much better Stidham looks than Carr. He’s going against an outstanding defense.

Narrator: they did not. The Eagles are in a world of trouble. They're now facing the prospect of being forced into playing an injured Jalen next week in what is suddenly a must win game. EDIT: That Jacksonville loss is looming large for Dallas now. Had they held on, they'd only have to beat Washington next week to not only wrap up the division, but the 1 seed too.

I still think the Eagles pull this one out, but man they have the "one and done" red flags written all over them. I'm getting heavy, heavy flashbacks to the 2016 Cowboys watching this team.

The NFL will never do this, however if they actually care about their product and player safety, these Thursday Night games need to go. This is the first one I've watched all season (aside from Thanksgiving), but the quality of play is so poor (on both sides). Couple that with all of these ridiculous injuries (literally as I'm typing this a Titan DB was carted off only minutes after the Cowboys center was carted off due to injury), and all of these players on both teams sitting tonight because of the short week just means it'll be a poor game. Football is a violent, physical game. It's clear that playing multiple games in only a few days is awful for players.

4 minutes in and I hate these Cowboy helmets. Just doesn’t look right. I’m trying to tell myself this is merely a modernized update of the original 1960’s Cowboy uniforms, but they just don’t look like the Cowboys. I say that as someone who likes the throwbacks too. I’m not sure why those work but these don’t for me.

Tua is in concussion protocol... again. For the 3rd time this season. The troubling part was that the Dolphins staff was struggling to identify the play it happened, though it looks like twitter users have found it (got hit from behind late in the 2nd quarter, and his head slammed backwards against the grass). Someone needs to seriously talk to Tua about continuing to play this game. He's had far too many for such a young player, and the more concussions you receive the more susceptible you are to more. It's a compounding issue.

The 49ers are the only team I want the Cowboys to avoid playing in the NFC side of the bracket. They have the best team in the league, IMO. No weaknesses aside from the most important position, and that may not even be a clear weakness anymore. My only solace is that the NFL doesn’t like great defenses and have skewed the rules accordingly.

That was one helluva game. One of the better Cowboys-Eagles games we’ve had in recent memory (and we’ve had a few). I have some thoughts: - The Cowboys D is gassed. They look exhausted. They’re making mistakes that they simply didn’t make early on in the season. If I were Dallas, I’d start resting players next week (by putting them on a snap count). They need the all-world defense they’ve had most of the season to have any hope of making a deep playoff run this year. - The Eagles OC might be the best in the league. Easily scheming players open, always looks like the Eagles are one step ahead offensively. The system is a well-oiled machine designed to make things easy on the QB (which is the mark of a great OC and play caller IMO). They were still able to move the ball basically at will even with a backup. I came away very impressed. - If anything this kind of both hurt Jalen’s MVP campaign a bit but also showed how valuable he is. I know how that sounds, but hear me out. Gardner is every bit as good of a passer as Jalen is (he was making/attempting throws that Jalen simply doesn’t make or even try), but where you see the clear difference is in the running game. Eagles couldn’t really run the ball at all with any consistency because the Cowboys didn’t fear Minshew’s ability to run at all, so the RPO’s weren’t as effective as they normally are. They were able to crash down on the RB every time with basically no second thoughts. Can’t do that when Hurts is the QB. - When Dak plays like he did today, this Cowboys offense is difficult to stop. After that first awful INT, he was outstanding. Cowboys need that version of Dak to make a deep playoff run. All in all, I fully expect these two teams to play again in the playoffs.

This makes the loss yesterday more significant. Had Hurts been healthy for the last 3 games, I'd have expected the Eagles to finish with 15 wins at minimum leaving zero opportunity for the Cowboys to overtake them. Prior to yesterday's debacle, all Dallas needed was to win out vs. Philly, Tennessee and Washington and have the Eagles lose one game outside of the Cowboys-Eagles game to win the division and the 1 seed. It seemed highly unlikely, but now with Hurts potentially missing the last 3 games that second loss the Cowboys needed seems far more likely to happen. It doesn't matter anymore because even with Hurts out, I cannot see the Eagles losing all 3 games. It could happen, but it's unlikely at this point.

Maybe it'll be good in the long run because now they only have to win one game to essentially not only guarantee a playoff spot but the 5th seed, instead of trying to go for the division. Now they can rest players that are clearly hurt/hurting (like Micah) and give them time to be near 100% for the playoffs.

Cowboys can kiss any chance of winning the division goodbye. They already had a slim chance, but it's completely gone now. The 5th seed it is. I just want Dallas to rest up, get their players healthy and be ready for the NFC South winner in the WC.

That was the best game I've ever seen regardless of any sport. I'm exhausted. So happy for Messi too. The GOAT finally won his World Cup.

That second Argentina goal was pure class from the whole team. They are playing so well.

That's why I pointed it out in terms of orange helmet and similarly dark face mask. There's only two teams with orange helmets in the league. They both shouldn't have dark face masks. Look how much better the Browns helmet with the white face mask contrasts when compared to the Bengals. The Browns white face mask looks better with the uniform overall, not just when playing against the Bengals.

I've been wanting the Browns to return to this ever since they brought back the gray facemasks almost 20 years ago. This is how the Browns are suppose to look. It's so good. The brown facemask looks like s*** and from afar, is too similar to the Bengals in terms of orange helmet paired dark colored facemask. I always thought the white facemask helps make the distinction between the two more apparent.

We're in agreement in that Reyna didn't handle it properly in the beginning. Like I said, I'd want to see Reyna channel that frustration into improvement and growth rather than sulking. I've seen that Yedlin quote before. Not really a big fan of it, to be honest. Sounds like some of the US players are forming, for lack of a better word, cliques within the NT. We already knew some existed with there being a small divide amongst the euro based players and the MLS based players but I'm not a proponent of the seeming exclusivity of these cliques that are apparently forming. This isn't a club team, or a team formed with your best buds/vibe guys. This is the national team. Obviously you want the guys to get along and to like being around each other, but I don't like the optics of this, especially not from a player like Yedlin who's on his way out and will probably not be on the World Cup roster in 2026. We're going to have to break up that midfield if the US wants to score goals, and also to keep those players fresh. We saw the US really ran out of gas in the Netherlands game which is quite understandable. Musah hasn't developed that scoring ability yet so there's still hope there, McKennie scores primarily as a late to the box attacker (which he never did in the US for some reason despite using it to great success at the club level) but struggles technically to bring the ball up the field (which is fine because that isn't his game) and it's the same with Tyler who is an outstanding defensive eraser so to speak but struggles offensively. They are a great defensive midfield, but the US also needs to get better in the attack to have any hope in Copa America 2024 or the next World Cup. The US does have a problem of having too many good players in similar positions meaning multiple good players will be on the bench, but what a problem to have.

Not saying the Athletic article is BS, but that the other stuff that was reported outside of that article later is false. It's been confirmed by other reporters and former USMNT players (and I'm not talking about Wynalda either), not through Reyna, that most of those hard to believe events were false or greatly exaggerated. No vote between the players happened (the coaches privately voted with Berhalter, but Gregg never asked the players to vote on it). And no argument/fight between Adams and Reyna ever happened. I'm also not saying that Gio didn't have a poor attitude or lack of effort, or the other contents of that Athletic article are false. Yeah, the timing of him speaking at this event and the article being released was certainly suspicious. Too coincidental to not be somewhat related. But with the benching of the "pouty" kid, Reyna was already benched before he became pouty. That's what caused him to sulk to begin with. I don't think Gregg was wrong to bench/not start Gio if his reasoning was solely for Gio's poor attitude, but to not play him at all? I'm sorry but Reyna being sulky isn't a good enough reason to keep him off the field entirely. These are professionals footballers, not AYSO kids. Professionals, especially ones as young and talented as Reyna are going to be sulky if they're not playing. Also, wasn't Wynalda proven right that Gregg lied to the media about Gio's status? He said some things that were clearly false (namely that Gregg asked Reyna to lie to the media about being hurt), but now this article combined with Reyna's and Berhalter's statements proved him right. I really like that Reyna was pissed off that he didn't play or wasn't going to play, and that he has a certain ego/arrogance to him. All the great players have that (in every sport), but going forward I do hope he handles himself better going forward and channels it more effectively. But that begs the question of how great is that internal culture if it can't handle one sulking 20 year old. And again, he has had basically zero maturity issues playing for Dortmund. I worry about this because the ego's we'll see come through the US system will only get bigger and bigger as more and more of our players are playing for the world's biggest clubs. I vehemently disagree with the statement that Gio is inconsistent. That's just the nature of being a footballer. Not even Messi performs to his standard every single game. Reyna is just injury-prone, like too many of our other stars. Gio scores and assists on goals with his club. He literally just scored a banger of a goal this week in that Dortmund friendly. I reserve the right to judge his scoring ability while playing for a coach/system with the NT that struggles produce consistent goals from anyone. I'd agree that Reyna isn't light years ahead of the other wingers but that's because Gio isn't a winger. He's a 10. Anyone can see that best suits his skill set. That's what he plays at Dortmund to great success.

Especially when that 20 year is uniquely fiery, I agree. But, Gio, by all accounts (even by Berhalter's) owned up to that and they, including the team, moved on (though apparently not). I still don't understand this latter part of your statement, you still don't believe that Gregg himself told Gio he wouldn't play a lot? We saw the proof not only through Reyna's words, but Berhalter's actions by not playing Gio. Dortmund, and people around Dortmund (teammates, coaches and reporters) have nothing but glowing support for Gio. Saying he's an exemplary and ideal teammate. Do not believe this. Same thing with the "fight" between Gio and Adams, which never happened. Or the players taking a vote Survivor style on whether Gio stays or not, which also never happened. Doesn't matter if he's earned that right of a "golden child", whatever that means. Reyna is one of the USMNT's best players. If the US wants to succeed, you play your best players. He's earned that much, specially over the likes of Fererria, Jordan Morris and Shaq Moore. And the coaches didn't think he was ready to take on the responsibility of representing his country? Excuse me, but what lol. If that's the case, then why bring him onto the roster at all? There's a zero percent chance Gregg returns. You risk alienating your best players if you bring Gregg back now.
