  1. The best uniforms use a maximum of two or three colours on their jersey. Sharks would look great simply in teal white and black. Silver is so 90s and not a good 90s.
  2. Seattle Kraken looks to be in Mariners colours. Pretty disappointed that they didn't go with the Totems as they had really great jerseys.
  3. Written reference in papers and the pattern can be seen in some photographs. The first Rosebuds team wore blue and white in 1916. Charles Coleman assumed the same was worn by the second version of the Rosebuds when he illustrated pictures for the Trail of the Stanley Cup book.
  4. Little known fact: the Portland Rosebuds uniform above was a black and gold in a rugby style sweater with horizontal stripes.
  5. The cardinal rule that should apply to any NHL team is that they aren't allowed to appropriate the elements that another team took years to build into their brand. It also works in reverse. Uniform manufacturers and new team owners should not be allowed to ditch elements that franchises have built up pr decades or codified with Cup wins. Lightning enough with this Leafs dress up. Leafs go back to the same uniform you wore during your Cup years with the double hem stripes and bring back the multi striped socks. Bruins - it was wrong going to a generic stripe template used by other NHL clubs when the RBK jerseys rolled out. Not that it looked bad but they had a unique pattern worn by Orr and Bourque which should have been retained. Ditching your yellow socks was a sin. Minnesota Wild do whatever you want with your uniforms as long as it doesn't copy another club. That said I like the North Stars reverse retro a lot.
  6. I hate the modern logo. It's ugly, poorly executed and poorly researched. The head is based on a caricature which was never stitched on a Canuck uniform or used in print. It somehow was plastered all over the internet after being uploaded to hockeydb years ago. This thing was not the WHL Canucks logo: I think people like the idea of these Canuck logos, not the actual renderings.
  7. What exactly does basketball designed sweaters mean?
  8. The new logo is based on the fake WHL logo and looks pretty meh. That said, this looks like yet another spinoff off the 60s WHL version and the legs look too large. I'm a Johnny Canuck fan but I would have preferred one of their classic uniforms with the arched Canucks script on the front and JC logo on the shoulders.
  9. The Flames have only used one shade of red on all their regular uniforms. Its exactly the same. The only exception was the winter classic barber pole which was darker.
  10. These concepts are very creative and look great. A blue and green version of the whl throwback with the 64 logo is sorely needed however. Please indulge us. Thanks
  11. If you want to save $40 on a fake replica no one can stop you but lets not kid ourselves. The quality is total crap.
