  1. The Lions need to keep to their Orange and white look. The black just makes the league really bland again with two other teams being mostly black. the orange pops.
  2. Another thing to add, the Edmonton Elks added this graphic to their schedule post, which shows all the logos in Edmonton football history from 1949 - today. And at the bottom was a certain striping invoking the 80’s look. Could we see a 75th anniversary uniform as it is the 75th anniversary of the club this season.
  3. I spotted something in the Ottawa release video for 2024. looks like the new home jersey.
  4. I know but I mean: but the main reference was this:
  5. It has a Sens jersey vibe to it, I dig it but that’s all I can see. Maybe also the Orlando Solar Bears
  6. We got colour vs colour (Alternate too) in the east final! also BC changed helmet decals for the playoffs
  7. Riders busting out the retros early this year.
  8. I mean it’s clear new era is designing these uniforms to go with the pants. Not having choice in them at all.
  9. I feel like they are missing more than hitting. Like some teams they will absolutely hit on some things but also miss on some other things. Edmonton’s white numbers on the home come to mind. Toronto is definitely a downgrade and all they seem to do is just mess up their branding. the insistence of these colour rush uniforms is also kinda bland. New Era has no concept of how to use pants effectively. Like using the blue pants for the Bombers home and away is the biggest example. Montreal could benefit greatly from using navy pants on that new Alt with red socks. BC’s pants need to swap on their sets. Toronto needs to add navy pants and ditch the white ones. Saskatchewan is practically the only team to not be touched by New Era and their odd concepts. Calgary is almost a win? Add Ottawa to that as well. Two out of three uniforms that are good or great and one that is lacking. For Calgary it’s their new home and away that are great and the use of contrasting pants and retro elements were fantastic. Wish they kept the retro logo on the sleeves. Ottawa just needs a better home and I think they are solid and love the use of plaid and colour on the away. And the Alt is serviceable for what they need it to do. Would love a Rough Riders retro though. but overall, they could do better. And New Era along with Adidas need to do some sort of league wide thing. Like Reebok was so good, honestly yes the initial 2005 roll out was rocky but they recovered with cool initiatives like the retro weeks and the 2012 redesigns were cool too.
  10. I asked, and I received, satisfactory iny opinion. Lions need to swap the pants and they would look nice but the stamps understand contrasting pants for the away uniform. Also as a REDBLACKS fan, glad they dropped black from the him and away, but I also think Calgary should continue the Labour Day outlaw jersey. It is a big part of the Labour Day classic now. But the newest one is bad. The signature one was great.
  11. Gonna drop black? Count me in! Also hope they have red pants for the new away.
  12. Cowboys need a black outline on their numbers.
  13. Why do teams do all white? Why are teams so afraid of colour? detroit should be wearing blue pants in this game.
  14. Add in the retro reverse and you have a winning trio. Really puts the tricolour into the tricolour
  15. The Habs away jersey (not the full uniform but just the jersey) is not as good as people say. Only cause of the amount of winning is it held in high regard but there is a massive distance between the Home jersey (which is the best even if I’m a Sens fan) and the away which is not even close to being top 100. my fix that will make it middle of the road is the need for stripes on the sleeve Akin to the socks or waist. Otherwise it is a very bland jersey.
  16. Always love when people go with 4 jerseys per team in their concept series. Especially making their 3rd different but still kinda traditional. And always gotta have a retro. Also love how you have an explanation for each design. And the merch is an added touch. Good job!
  17. All of these so far are very good! Like able to have their own unique yet traditional approach. Toronto, Saskatchewan and Calgary really stands out to me.
  18. I know that compared to the other leagues, the CFL isn’t as big in terms of teams but none the less I thought this year I’d do a CFL week by week uniform match up ranking! As well as a uniform power ranking. Week 1 1: Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs Ottawa REDBLACKS (19-17 Winnipeg) Winnipeg’s home and sway’s are by far the best uniforms in the league. A classic modern retro style done right. Ottawa’s new away uniform has grown in me, it’s a good concept, maybe would be even better with black pants but the plaid being here is the best feature. Also maybe a red stripe on the helmet might look good too? But regardless (and despite my team losing) this is a good match up that we didn’t get last year. 2. BC Lions vs Edmonton Elks (59-15 BC) This is the regular season debut of the new Elks away look and it does a lot better than what they had before, it’s still needs a tune for it to be better standing alone (like two green sleeve stripes to cap off the yellow ones). BC on the other had has a good looking colourful uniform here with good contrast. I guess the only thing I could add to it too would be orange socks and the return of the helmet stripes? But overall a good looking match up in a massive blow out that could be a sign of a rebirth of the Vancouver market! 3. Saskatchewan Roughriders vs Hamilton Tiger-Cats (30-13 Riders) Hamilton’s away uniform either with yellow or black pants is great (this uniform alone elevates this match up) the big problem with it is that there needs to be a stripe or two on the pants! Saskatchewan could have gone with green over white as I’m not a big fan of their all green look. Another thing they could have done was bring back the helmet wrap around but that’s just me. Overall though it is a bottom-mid level match up solely for Saskatchewan’s all green look. 4. Calgary Stampeders vs Montreal Alouettes (30-27 Calgary) This one is bottom tier for me because I thought it was kinda bland. I’m still not entirely sold on Montreal’s new look though I’m a fan of the away’s contrast (with navy, white, navy, red). But the jersey itself is too simple and looks like an NCAA 14 team created uniform. And that new helmet is not doing then any favours either. Doesn’t fit the rest of the uniform’s simplistic MO. Calgary on the other hand, looks good-ish? I say that because it’s kinda odd to see any team in the CFL start their season with an alternate uniform outside a special year. They did all the press in the uniform this year too. And while I like it, it makes me wonder what the away or even home uniform will look like. But still, never thought Calgary and Montreal matched up well anyways. The Uniform power rankings: 1. Winnipeg 2. Hamilton 3. BC 4. Ottawa 5. Calgary 6. Edmonton 7. Toronto 8. Montreal 9. Saskatchewan What are your thoughts?
  19. Hamilton really needs to put a strip on the pants and they are easily a clear #2 in the CFL uniform pow… oh :censored:, that Alt knocks them down to 4.
  20. Chicago vs Minnesota at Lambeau… you are crazy and I like it. Kinda a Calgary vs Winnipeg in Regina vibe
  21. Hate me but this patch I thought was the best one, part in no way cause of reasons…
