  1. It is very refreshing to not have a red team in the CFP finals for a change. I know Clemson has been in it for the past several years, but to not see Bama in the game is a nice change of pace. I noticed the white number patches for LSU the other day on twitter and thought that it looked strange. Definitely would be better with Black numbers I have never enjoyed watching a game in the Super Dome. Saints games or any college game that's played in there always feel dingy and the colors look awful. I wish they would upgrade their lighting or something. The fact that they don't paint their endzones makes it worse.
  2. My immediate thoughts when I read that earlier
  3. Well... the D3 championship had about 10+ years of purple teams playing against each other between Mt. Union, Wisconsin-Whtewater, and Mary Hardin Baylor
  4. Not to mention that they still have Staunton’s contract on payroll...
  5. The speed of the game is also a reason to dictate one team in white, or light grey. A game like Bama/Tennesee or Arizona/ASU is challenging for the spectators because the colors don't contrast well, but game speed on field level, its difficult for players to see their own players, or for officials to see whats going on.
  6. Dez isn’t wearing the same pants as the others, notice the pants striping. There was a D-lineman I think doing the same today, wearing the silver pants while the others have the white pants on.
  7. Cause the were “returning to the sacred grounds” by playing FIU at the Orange Bowl site, aka Marlins Park. How’d that work out for them?! Lol
  8. I wonder how the hat would have looked had the embroidery style been more like the BP hats, where the outline would have been the raised embroidery and the rest of the logo remained relatively flat. I feel like that would definitely help it stand out against the background a little better, which is one of my biggest complaints to this set
  9. I don’t mind the gold pants from the knee up. I hate that they wore the striped socks with them, mainly because of how relaxed the NFL has been with socks. I dislike any striped sock because while the idea is great, the execution of them are always terrible... I also grew up with the white pants, and loved that they made a comeback
  10. I kinda wish the Angels would go back to having the sleeveless jerseys with red undershirts. That look, even though some don't like the sleeveless jerseys, was a fairly good look and helped set them apart from other red teams.
  11. Also, if you want in the playoffs, win your conference. Oregon’s loss to Auburn was Game 1, which is better than losing week 11. They are a better team now than they were 10 weeks ago. There is no way that 3 SEC teams get in the playoffs without major repercussions with the power 5 conferences. That would almost guarantee an expanded 8-team playoff.
  12. Are you serious?! Baltimore yes, but not the rest of that bunch. Miami’s may have some problems, but Atlanta & Arizona are so over due for updates, and Tampa is an over designed mess. Seattle is okay, but I’d still put Miami over Seattle.
  13. I wonder if the success the Nats has this year with the script means a change in the home whites to the Spring Training Jersey as primary, with current home moved to an alternate?
  14. Did they even say that they were going to keep the throwbacks around? If I'm a team putting out a new uniform set, why would I want to immediately dilute my new brand by putting out throwbacks?
  15. Almost every recruit that comes to visit is in either the solid white, or white helmet/orange jersey/white pants. Its funny... for someone who was known for doing many uniforms each season and a fast tempo offense, he has went the complete opposite way. Little variety the last 2 years with uniforms, and super telegraphed, lethargic offense
  16. Nothing brings me more joy right now that for the Braves to not only be back-to-back NL East division winners, but no one in sports media picked them at all before the season, and even when they were on a tear, ESPN and FOX was more focused on the Phillies and the Nats. Braves flew under the radar, and are a better team than so many people give them credit for. I'm pumped for October baseball!
  17. ^yep, just saw a video of Baker warning up and had solid Orange socks on. Makes that uniform look so much better
  18. Why not. Especially when the appearance of that blue changes in different lighting, and both the Giants and Rams were the ones that had Navy shell with Royal jerseys. I think it would look pretty decent
  19. Completely agree with this as well. And if they wanted to have a "white out" or something like that, they could do the Royal/White throwback set for that game.
  20. My ideal scenario for the Rams would be for them to have a the current royal home jersey, the old white away jersey, a new gold jersey with Royal accents, and then a white "fearsome foursome" "throwback/color rush". The helmets would be Royal blue, with either an the finish thats on the Vikings helmets or the Giants helmets, and a royal blue mask. Gold horns for the Home royal, Road white, and Alternate gold, and White horns for the throwback/color rush alternate.
  21. Virginia Tech going with Orange/Maroon/Maroon for their Orange Effect game this weekend. I love the helmets, and am very glad that they made a return after being gone for last year, however I was hoping for the orange jersey or pants to make an appearance this weekend as well.
  22. The funny thought I had last night as I turned the game on was that we were in for a page or two of comments on here saying that Texans with Red Socks and Saints with Black Pants was needed, lol
  23. What an ending in New Orleans! I turned it on for the last 7 minutes, to two teams I usually hate to watch, and was highly entertained
  24. It kills me how the Braves are 6.5 games up in the East, and still just as hot as they have been all season, but the only East teams that get talked about on ESPN and Fox Sports are the Nats and the Phillies
