Miami starts play in 2020, which is technically next year.

Fair enough......but then we haven't seen Nashville's graphics yet and they are to play "next year" as well. They could very well bring down the whole league.😋

You may be on to something. Outside of maybe Quincy Carter, I cant think of another QB who wore #17 that one might consider "elusive"

Rivers, Osweiler, and Tannehill are all rather "statuesque" currently.

Doug Williams, Brian Sipe come to mind ......yeah I'm old school

I guess this means that BHP Billiton's jersey sponsorship deal has ended. Insert your ad here please.

Dynamo's official reveal isn't till the 20th maybe they'll secure a new sponsor by then

Apparently 10,000 supporters were consulted as part of the design process. I'm assuming that they were fans of every other club in England, rather than Leeds? :D

    Leeds doesn't have 10000 supporters

Don't let all this new uniform talk distract you all from the fact that there is now a professional hockey franchise in LAS VEGAS, NEVADA.

Yeah and there's one in Phoenix Arizona what's your point?

  6. This logo is a humongous downgrade. Who didn't like the old huskie? That thing was fantastic!

It really wasn't. Not even a husky, and a cutesy, cartoonish, overly-detailed, ugly excuse for a logo to boot.

But it was unique! Now it looks like generic slop; a boring cousin to the abandoned Nordiques concept.

Unique in its inaccuracy!! I've look at all the other logos that this has been compared to and while they are similar in the fact that they are front facing that is where the similarity ends -most of the wolf logos show ragged hair this husky is neatly groomed like it should- most of the other husky logos it was compared too are authentic picture captures and not a streamlined "logo".

  7. Why are you asking this guy if the logo is better? The people who know it is are the ones who redesigned the logo and the team. The team will be able to use the logo for the benefits already pointed out. Even if this guy doesn't see the benefits if he is a fan he'll buy the merchandise. The ones who see the new features just have a better appreciation for them. This other guy doesn't. In the grand scheme of things because of the subtleties people will still buy the merchandise and his opinion really doesn't matter.

  8. I dunno; England still looks odd in all-white, especially with red printing. Their number font is definitely a downgrade from what they used to use.

+1. France looks great, I especially like the light blue highlights. England looks ok, but isn't great. The red stripes at the top of the socks are a good start, a little more red trim and just a touch of blue somewhere (crest, collar) would look great.

England need some blue in there somewhere, and France's blue is a touch too dark, and they need red in there. Nike (and umbro) need to stop messing with tradition for its own marketing needs.

The FA and the FFF have the final say in what they wear on the field so they should take some of the blame-- I'm sure Nike/umbro dont just say here's what we made take it or leave it.

I tend to think you are being a bit naive their. I think given the size of the contracts involved, Nike and by extension Umbro, can do pretty much what they want. 'Having the final say' pretty much is something like being given a very limited choice within a marketing strategy, in this case.

and that is why they should take some of the blame for giving into the marketing. There have been plenty of cases where public outcry has changed marketing strategies..Poland comes to mind as I'm watching them now.......
