He may have played for the Reds for quite a while, but this is his 'wrong' uniform for his Reds tenure, the current set:
That's true, but it's been repeated here that alts/throwbacks don't really count. Not to mention the poster I quoted was saying emphatically that just him being a Red in and of itself qualified.

Oh yeah cause Griffey being on the Reds doesn't count
Griffey Jr. was on the Reds for parts of NINE seasons.

^ Sakic in his GM suit should make them cringe even more than that

Still a better logo than the Vegas Knights'.
Being at "crotch level" of the knight makes me REALLY uncomfortable.

technically I think he played just as many seasons with the Wizards as the Wolves, so you could make the claim there as well.

Oh god, its so so ugly. No way to treat the best forward in team history.
I don't see Joe Sakic anywhere in this pic?

FWIW I associate Walton with the championship team look of the Blazers especially this one with the vertical name...
The framed one he's holding reminds me more of the Clyde Drexler/TerryPorter 1980's era Blazers.

Really?! I remembered them wearing black in the '97 World Series. Must've conflated that with '03.
They wore road grays for the 3 games in Cleveland, and went with the white pinstripes for 2 games and the sleeveless look 2 games in Florida.

I dont consider Kasper's RIGHT uniform to be a Pens uniform at all.

At a time when the Mets and Knicks got rid of black, the Islanders come in and introduce black. They're a very 1 step forward, 2 step backwards franchise.
and yet somehow they have as many championships as both the Knicks and Mets combined.
at least this was just a third, and they never adopted black into their regular color scheme like those other two.

Here's a serious question, which one is WRONG for Marino? None?

Alright I'm throwing the flag on including 3rd jerseys or one off throwbacks in this thread. You'd just get out of hand with those as every player under the sun has worn one at one time or another.
It's much more interesting (and probably the intent of the OP) to post guys wearing a team's regular uniform at that time that isnt the look you associate him with for that team.

Chapman is not a Red anymore. His only meaningful prime-time national exposure came in another uniform, and if he plays well for a few years in NY, that will cement it.
He played 6 seasons with the Reds. He appeared in all of 31 games with the Yankees and just 28 with the Cubs.
This is recency bias at its worst.

as an Islander fan I just try to block all memories of the mid to late 90's....

That matchup actually happened a couple times. The one in this video is from a game in Colorado
