this photo looks like one of the ones from the portait studios in Canton, OH where you (or in this case your Dad) can put on his favorite NFL uniform. 

Did those NFL players wear those jerseys throwing out a first pitch or something? 

Otherwise this seems like a sad attempt to capitalize off another more popular sport's marketable stars.

Ward had a 12 year career in the NBA, ten of them with the Knicks. versus what was basically a 2 year career as a football player at Florida State. 

The Knicks is most certainly his RIGHT uniform.

Marlins can't legally go back to being the "Florida Marlins" due to their deal with the city of Miami so I'd think a return to the exact old logo would be a no go. Perhaps they'll go the route of something similar featuring an "M"

Anything is better than the current orange-centric rebrand

yeah this has gotten silly at this point.  Radulov was a stretch, but this is beyond ridiculous.  What's next? Guys who played road games vs the Habs?

I'm aware of his two stints with Toronto, but he still played more seasons on the Hawks.   The Islanders thing comes from me being a fan, and him being on a line with Pierre Turgeon during the 93 run to the Wales Conference Finals.

franchise =/= team 

The current Jets have worn throwbacks to those Jets and own those marks now I believe. So from a "team" standpoint they're effectively one in the same, even though the original franchise that called itself that resides in Arizona. 

This is the equivalent of if Ray Lewis had played a year for the original Browns before moving to Baltimore. It's just a wrong uniform at this point mostly becauuse the Browns exist again back in their original city. 

I'd say Doaner in a Jets jersey is just a flat out "player in the wrong uniform" scenario period since that team exists again. 

Although I'm hard pressed to think of which iteration of the Yotes uniform that he looks most right in at this point?
