maybe. But it doesn’t look like Detroit at all.
As others have said, it’s the perfect Panthers uniform. I’m fine with it for the Lions, but would love it for the Panthers.- 7

A fart sums up his GM days with the 49ers too damn well.

Overall, it’s a big improvement and I’m glad the team dumped overly-gimmicked number fonts. I wish the silver pants were the only option, but I can live with all the variation. The blue facemask in particular really “makes” the helmet, if that makes sense. The black jersey isn’t exactly my taste, but it’s competently done.
Now to watch Houston and Denver stink up the joint.

Yeah, this feels like owners covering for the awfulness of Fanatics, especially since next season will be the first under Fanatics.
We’ve exited the Modern Talking phase (Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes) and are now entering the Blue System phase (Utah ____ and their shenanigans). If you get this reference, congrats, you’ve wasted as much time in mediocre synth pop music as I have.

They’re definitely one of those teams that have been coasting of the success of a single championship from more than 20 years ago, but they forgot the whole part about actually winning a championship.
I'd say they're coasting on being created out of the ashes of the Minnesota North Stars and Cleveland Barons' unholy fusion. It's gonna be hilarious to see how badly they overestimate their importance to the market.

Low-key, the Sharks have been an utter trainwreck of a franchise for years and it took a long time for the public to realize that.

Well, that was an unfortunate experience of a team. Thank goodness it's finally over.
Now where will this thread go? The Sharks and their cocky attempt to get a new, publicly-funded venue?

Venom?
This song would be perfect as an entrance theme.

It was a good run and I'm legally not allowed to complain about the Warriors for at least a decade. But still, it's clear that the rebuilding has to begin.
Just now, DG_ThenNowForever said:Four titles in 6 years is about as good as it gets.
And knowing the Warriors, they'll somehow land Giannis or Donovan Mitchell or both and start it all over again.
I doubt it, but Steph and a new partner could maybe make it work. Big maybe. It's clear that Draymond is still a liability and Klay should probably have not bet on himself, while Bob Myers leaving probably sealed the fate of this era of the team. Let the rebuild begin.

There were once two threads.
The nested quotes make so many goldmine threads near-impossible to read in phone. But that's to be expected when dealing with forum software.

The most amazing part of the John Chayka saga was that he was like "whatever you do, don't draft Mitch Miller, he stuffed urinal cakes in a disabled kid's mouth," then quit the team, then the team was so mad at him that they drafted Mitch Miller out of spite and everyone got really mad at them.
If only teams had that energy towards convicted sex pest Billy Tibbetts back in the day. -

HOWEVER, the Josh Hancock drunk-driving death was only 2.5 years before the Coyotes declared bankruptcy, which was almost 15 years ago. Time, man!
The bankruptcy was literally half a lifetime ago for me! -

Also came across the old "poo" thread, which I re-read and still cracks me up. The Hemingway-titles-as-poo-references is gold.
My favorite Goldmine thread is this one. -
Well, the Jets did exactly what they should have done in 2018! It’s nice to see the throwback be promoted (and for Champion Block to return).
Now this picture of Aaron Rodgers in the ‘18-‘23 set really is a wrong uniform (since he wore the throwback in his only game).

Well, contraction-in-all-but-name is just as good as contraction.

Bucks fell to the 3 seed on the final day of the season after being 2 seed basically the entire year. Doc Rivers finishes his half of the season with a losing record. One of the worst self-owns by an NBA franchise I can ever remember.
Doc Rivers might be the worst good coach or the best awful coach in NBA history. He has done so little with so much talent. -
Seriously, somebody needs to make a “band member timeline” chart of all the people involved with the Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes.

It will be a decent steaming service documentary down the line, one that will produce a lot of memes about how ridiculous it all was. Think the Fyre Festival or Johnny Manziel documentaries, but dragged out over 28 years and featuring way more idiots.

…but then it's possible some of them are 14 years old and literally were not alive when Jerry Moyes first :censored:ed off.
I think you’ll find the vast majority are that. Being on the major social media apps for sports discourse is a mistake, especially in hockey circles.Stick to the forums and you’ll be in better shape. Most of the time anyway, as I’m sure BigMac12 was a child when he was talking about frozen blood, non-believers, and parking lots.

I've been on this ride so long that I was around for a particularly off-kilter member telling us all that the Coyotes would skate on the frozen blood of the non-believers. I'm ready for whatever comes out of the woodwork here.
You gotta say it with more panache, like:
【 Skating on the frozen blood of non-believers】

That's a really kind thing to say but when you break up with someone it's ultimately the kindest to tell them it's never going to work out and they should move on.
I would give good money to have “Little Lies” playing over the final moments of the Arizona Coyotes. What better song than one about a relationship that should’ve ended ages ago but deception kept it around? -

Let's not forget that the Coyotes once came 15 minutes away from death and escaped, but this really might be it.
I feel like Elrond when retelling the story of their near move to Seattle.
