Every time you mention this guy’s name I get The Wreck of the Concepcion from Treasures of the Deep stuck in my head. What do you want to bet that Joey Kuras or another one of his employees actually composed it? It’s not so far-fetched anymore. Video for those who don’t get the references.
Side note about Tommy: his McMansion (that wasn’t on Cribs) has been listed for sale. The Spider-Man room is still very much there, even though the stagers took out some of the tacky stuff.

It ended already, when the Senators tried to pretend they were connected to the Silver Seven. Speaking of which, I still wish the =O= set was promoted to primary status.

I would sooner trust Tommy Tallarico to run an NHL team than Meruelo. So yeah, I doubt he’s gonna be able to do much with his franchise certificate.

I think it’s safe to say that, finally, the Jets have won something.
I mean, they won SB III. Then proceeded to spend the next 55 or so years being decent-to-basura, with the highlight being Mark Sanchez running right into Brandon Moore's butt and committing a turnover.
Speaking of which, what play best represents Denver's post-SB 50 futility? I would suggest the Hackett field goal.

There’s always this mascot for the Yetis:

College teams don't carry the same importance in hockey as they do in basketball. If you did a poll of NHL fans asking them if they know what the University of Denver teams are called I think most of them would draw a blank.
Yeah, that’s most likely the case.
Still, Pioneers would be a boring nickname for a Rocky Mountain hockey team. Of the names picked early, I’d say Yetis and Outlaws are the ones I’d be most inclined to like. The former even has a logo ready!
I’m so happy the Avs ditched the yeti stuff, even if it meant adopting the Colorado flag crap.

I agree with you on the social media team. I remember the Canes social media used to be at least a little clever with their trolling, but some of the stuff they posted last night was cringy to say the least.
As Jimmy said, it's the kind of stuff you heard on Xbox Live back in the late-00s, minus the really awful stuff.

The other solution is to just ignore Twitter and Reddit, which seems easy enough to do.

All the more reason why I rooted for the Penguins in 2017, no matter how painful it was.

I really wish the home set was the template the rest of the uniforms followed, with the horn helmet as the primary option.
As they are, they’re decent-to-cringeworthy. The H-town set looks ridiculous, while the all-red is a miss. Their primary set is adequate.
Ultimately, I’d say the Lions won this year of tweaking. The Jets are in second, Broncos in third, and Texans leading up the rear. For however iffy the Broncos’ uniforms are, they don’t have an “H-town”-level turd in their set.

The Broncos would actually have to make the playoffs for that to matter.
I can see a way that the Nuggets can supplant the Broncos as the market’s #1 team. -

How appropriate that today is Jack Nicholson's 87th Birthday..
Happy Birthday, Jack!
On another note, how would a medium royal blue have worked for the Broncos (e.g., Giants and Bills)? I think it would've been a nice balance and fit the color scheme a lot more than the starker navy or the "soft" light royal.

The defending and most winning program in college hockey.... the Pioneers....
Yeah, it’d be like a new NBA team being the Huskies, Blue Devils, or Tar Heels.- 1

It would be funny to give Slider a spider buddy that looked like a muppet version of the above design.I’m good with the Guardians name and the team’s safe rebrand, but I just wish they went back to the ‘90s color balance (minus the added white outlines/double outlines).

Oh, this advice never works out for anyone.
That reminds me, I still need to watch Zoo. I did watch a Justin Whang video on that topic, so I guess it counts? Also, I really don’t care about the non-contrasting socks at all. Contrast would look better, but I don’t think it screws up a look at all. Or at least, to the same level as most people here.

actually. They are trash.
I mean, I think they’re just fine. This is not something worthy of hyperbole.- 2

They’re fine. Not offensively bad or anything, just very meh. The helmet stripe stinks, but I can live with that. It’s a real 6/10.
They're probably only gonna last as long as the minimal requirement, before the Broncos try something else that may or may not be better/a straight-up throwback.

We've had a few admit that they were dupe accounts, but none ever went as far as this guy did. Or have had as many dupes over such a long period (some overlapping!).
Why is it so important to him that he post on this forum?

so yes I will say the experiment is over and I sincerely hope the next iteration of the Coyotes are supported. But looking at who still has the history and rights to the name we know that won’t happen
My issue is that reviving the Coyotes brand, which was so thoroughly tainted by (read the last 512 pages of this thread), would be a bad idea. Start anew with a decent name and throw in the Coyotes kachina throwbacks later.

Make shoddy parts for the space shuttle? I bet you didn't know the connection between the FLDS and the Challenger tragedy.

maybe. But it doesn’t look like Detroit at all.
As others have said, it’s the perfect Panthers uniform. I’m fine with it for the Lions, but would love it for the Panthers.- 11

A fart sums up his GM days with the 49ers too damn well.

Overall, it’s a big improvement and I’m glad the team dumped overly-gimmicked number fonts. I wish the silver pants were the only option, but I can live with all the variation. The blue facemask in particular really “makes” the helmet, if that makes sense. The black jersey isn’t exactly my taste, but it’s competently done.
Now to watch Houston and Denver stink up the joint.

Yeah, this feels like owners covering for the awfulness of Fanatics, especially since next season will be the first under Fanatics.
We’ve exited the Modern Talking phase (Phoenix/Arizona Coyotes) and are now entering the Blue System phase (Utah ____ and their shenanigans). If you get this reference, congrats, you’ve wasted as much time in mediocre synth pop music as I have.
