  2. Its a really interesting logo, I like it. But, I would have rather seen separate Grapefruit/Cactus League logos. Still not sold on why Spring Training needs a logo anyways.
  3. I would be extremely suprised to see the Marlins wear a "20th Anniversary" patch. IMO, it kinda goes against what they tried to do when the team "moved", it seemed the current ownership would just love to erase the "Florida" past. On a sidenote about the Marlins, they just had FanFest, and opened up single game ticket sales..........only 4 people in line. I wonder if they were offering BOGO if you came out today to get your tickets.
  4. Yes, the Marlins logo is bottom of the barrell, pretty much. The only reason why it is relevant is its art-deco style wordmark, but I call BS on that one seeing that the Marlins do not play near South Beach, they play in Little Havana.
  5. Whoever called those kicks "Miami Subs Sneakers" was spot on.
  6. I...don't hate it. I could live with a team from Florida primarily orange, with a bright blue and yellow. The green is barely used in these images. Maybe its just me, but I think a lot of people are reading WAY too much into the colors being utilized throughout the stadium. There is no way that the team will use all of those colors. Although I don't have any proof to back up my statement, I just don't think that they have anything to do with the team's identity. It was made pretty clear during the earlier artist's renderings and articles that the stadium decor would be influenced by the local art and culture...NOT the team's identity. Again, I can't prove it because I have not seen the new uniforms...but if I were a betting man I would bet the house that they will not have rainbow colors on their unis come November. 2nd Lets just put it in perspective. Sun Life Stadium has had a current pattern of orange and blue with yellow and green triangles painted in it for some time, and this never influenced the Dolphins to change their colors...
  7. Sorry to bump this old subject back up to the top(especially on my first post on CCSLC). The logo above is the logo currently used by the Marlins for Spring Training. I imagine its possible that this could be the new logo, which would be a nice choice for a cap logo. The color combo is also possible, although the picture is not what its ultimately going to look like. The Marlins WILL NOT be the colors of the new stadium logo. That would be worse than the Twins' Dairy Queen unis. I'm sure they will not be sporting the "rainbow" look. The new stadium logo consists of the "colors of the new stadium", but that doesn't mean at all that the team has to take those colors. Also, as far as seats colors are concerned, there are plenty of parks I've been to where the color of the seats do not reflect the home team. I could see the Marlins turning to a "blue-navy" type color, as long as its not exactly the same as the Yankees. Orange is a huge possibility as a primary color. Yes, this would be the same as the O's and Giants, but if there is a color change what color could they possibly go to that wouldn't resemble an existing color combo? But after all of that, they should bring back the TEAL in full force. I loved the all-teal hats, the teal pinstripe vest with teal undershirt, teal belts and socks....But there was something about those helmets that left a vomit taste in my mouth. I'd be very happy with the color combo when the all-black hats were first introduced. Black became dominate, but teal was still existant(which it is not on the current unis). Hate to say it, but almost everything written here is wrong. Brace yourself for what you're going to see on November 11. Seeing that most of it is opinion and speculation I would say there's nothing wrong here. If you want me to list facts here we go; 1.)The Marlins will not sport teal in their uniforms in 2012 2.)The logo on the hat above is the ST logo currently used 3.)Seats in a home teams ballpark do not always coincide with team colors
  8. I am impressed with the only major change in uniforms, the Buffalo Bills. I really like the white helmets, but the reds were more unique. So glad the rest of the uniform was completely revamped. I'm suprised that this is the only major uniform change this year. Thought all of the front office personel would have had plenty of time to change things up during the lockout
