  1. I don't understand what's caused the cost of the replicas to go up so dramatically. It's not like the quality of them has gone up, they've gone way down. It's absolutely ridiculous.
  2. The only teams I tolerate the grey facemasks on are teams who have grey in their color scheme, like the Giants, Cowboys, and Raiders.
  3. I'm on my phone right now and for some reason, I'm not able to reply to posts. Anyone else having this problem?
  4. That's not a unpopular opinion. That uniform combo recives positive feedback all the time. That's true, it's just that many people don't like the navy trim and the number font.
  5. This is the best uniform that the Chargers have ever worn:
  6. I didn't mind them either, but I like the retros much better. Really, the only thing I'd change to them would be to get rid of the orange sleeves.
  7. Not really. An unpopular opinion is one that is the opposite of the general consensus of something.
  8. I agree with you, they are desperate for an update.
  9. Judging by this one pic, I completely agree. It was said by someone back when he first posted it, but I'll say it again: too many teams have switched from athletic gold to metallic gold. Just look at teams like the Brewers, Penguins, Stars, and Rams. Of those teams, only the Brewers was an upgrade, IMO. The Stars was a lateral move, and the Penguins and Rams were downgrades.
  10. I find when the jersey and pants are the same color (except black and white), they look too much like pajamas.
  11. Like Brass said, the inside looks like absolute but the outside looks rather good aside from the snags and loose threads.
  12. I find it's really bad at the Rogers Centre. I'm so sick of seeing the terrible Blue Jays fakes. The number font is wrong (they use the old split-letter font, not the new one), the letters in the "Blue Jays" wordmark are much taller than the real ones, and they are all made of the "cool base" material (the Blue Jays don't wear cool base).
  13. Is it just me, or is the site running extremely slowly?
  14. Well that's the thing. This thread is full of people saying "I went to a *insert team here* game, and 75% of people were wearing knockoffs." I find those stories to be suspect. At the very least I think the person telling the story is remembering way more fakes then they actually saw. I say this because it all comes back to economics. Teams, leagues, manufacturers? They all, at the end of the day, exist to make money. If "75%" (or any other shocking large percentage) of a team's fans were buying fakes then the teams and manufacturers would take notice. Sure, Nike likes getting $300 per authentic jersey sold, but if the choices are "lower the price and sell the product" or "keep prices where they are and don't" then they're going to lower their prices. Given that prices for jerseys are still up there, I'm inclined to believe that the vast majority of fans are still willing to pay those high prices for the real deal. Which means, from an economic standpoint, prices are not to high. Maybe we're getting there with Nike's NFL prices, but we're not there yet. As for "well prices are so high that's why fakes exist," well prices will always be to high for someone. If Nike announced they were dropping the price of authentics down to $75 (a 75% price cut) you would still have people complaining about how they "don't have $75 to spend on a jersey." And those people will use that "high" price of $75 to justify buying a fake for $40. You do make a good point, however, if you dropped the prices of jerseys, the amount of fakes would go down dramatically. Would there still be people wearing fakes? Of course, but there will be far less of them.
  15. I wasn't sure where to post this but does anyone know of a good site (other than eBay) where I can get new, pre-edge replica jerseys for relatively cheap. Thanks in advance.
  16. I love the navy and powder blue for the Pens, but I've come to accept that it isn't realistically going to be used full time.
