While I don't mind them, and it's certainly a nice idea to have grey lettering on top of grey pants, but the new cap they started wearing last year with it is overkill, and frankly, horrible. The Mets only need one cap, not eleventy-five.

I like the red mask on the Patriots' helmet. It balances out the uniform well, and I think that either blue or silver would make the set look too drab.

FWIW, I think the Colts have been doing this for a while and my favorite NFL franchise has a "16-0" banner at Gillette Stadium, so I can't Nelson Muntz the Colts organization. With that said, good job, good effort, Colts. As a player, wouldn't you rather look up at a AFC South or Wild Card banner than this? I think a vague "Finalist" banner is more of a slap in the face than anything else. Plus, 35+ years down the road, not everyone will know how far they went or what exactly a finalist was, which is the biggest thing.

My method for this is to draw a circle with the ellipse tool, then take your text tool and hover it over the shape. When the cursor looks like it has a line through it, click and you can now type in the shape you just created. If you need to move the text or put it on the inside of the circle, use the convert point tool to do that. Hope that helps, if not, I can take some screenshots.
