  1. 1) No pants stripe - definite downgrade 2) The weird font is unneccessary. Away numbers look smaller than home because of the unreadable gold outline 3) Helmet stripe still doesnt' go the whole way down to the end of the helmet 4) Sleeve stripes are an upgrade. 5) No throwback shown, but the leaks and indications are that they're coming, probably for the Penn State game. 6) Matte helmet is fine, I guess.
  2. Yeah, nevermind - I have nothing new to add and missed that something was posted earlier
  3. A bottle of gatorade that is twice the size of a human head? Where can I buy one of those? I know, right? Still, it's nice to have the old logo and new(?) there so you can see the differences in super low resolution. It's different enough to make all new merchandise, it doesn't mess with the colors, and it lets them use their throwbacks, which we knew they wanted to do. Super excited to find out this a photoshop, but at least it's fits the speculation. Where did you see this photo making its rounds? On Kissing Suzy Kolber Also, yeah, it may be fake, but baseless speculation and overreaction are the very foundations of the internet

  5. Probably a chromed pewter facemask. Ugh, I wonder if it'll have a red mask stripe or something dumb like that.
  6. This crappy, grainy photo is making its way around the internets. This is about what we expected:
  7. I was watching the old 1986 AFC Championship game yesterday, and I don't know how I missed it before, but the Broncos, when playing in Cleveland, were given an endzone complete with the word Broncos written in the Browns font. Not only that, but they made a makeshift Broncos helmet (with the D logo minus the horse). I'd love to see this kind of stuff nowadays, though I'm sure it'll never happen outside of a Super Bowl. Anyway, here's a blog post someone did with pictures. http://theaxisofego.com/2012/02/02/you-wont-see-this-again-anytime-soon/ And here's some visual evidence:
  8. I realize it's a small thing, but it's really lazy, in my opinion. It's Nike saying "Our template comes first, and your design will be shoehorned into it". It makes me laugh a bit that they did it to their own team, the new Seahawks design. The reason it annoys me with the Broncos is that the main design feature for the team is that stripe from armpit to knee. The belt could have tucked in under the design, just like it always has before - it just seems unnecessary to me. Hey, we're all neurotic about some things, right? I guess that's mine.
  9. After looking at the replicas, I'd want to see one in person to be able to judge the screenprinting and fabric. It doesn't look like it's even mesh anymore, almost like a polyester more akin to a baseball jersey, but these could just be bad mockups. That Bengals one is hilariously bad. I do like that there's no more NFL Equipment shield, just the NFL logo. Cleaner. No more little peek window above the V for some teams (including mine). The real test will come when these things go through the wash 3 times, will things start peeling? Also, did anyone notice that every team has a real player except Denver? I'm sure they shot it with Tebow a few weeks ago, and then.........oops. Edit: I remember back in the late 90s, the $30 "Walmart Special" jerseys were a polyester weave with rubberized numbers on it. I think these remind me of those jerseys more than the nice shiny nylon we're used to now.
  10. Are you seriously going to complain about a half inch of fabric cover that covers the stripe that won't even be seen when the jersey hangs loose or comes untucked? You won't even notice it during a game. yeeep, I am Because it's a lack of attention to detail. It could have been fixed, but it wasn't. To be fair, I like the flywire collar on us because it reinforces the two side stripes and helmet stripe pointing at the face, without the V breaking that up. Now the helmet and jersey stripes won't be the same color this year, so it will still break up the effect a little...... I could go on, but I won't. It's just the little things.
  11. Completely unnecessary breaking of the side stripe. I'm tired of this whole hexagonal pad thing. If I wanted hexes I'd go play war games. Edit: Also, no more belt buckle logo cover, which I always liked: And of course, flywire...whatever.
  12. From the Broncos Pro Shop: Yeesh. I know the workout shirts usually use the contrasting seams and crazy panels, but...that back...
  13. Easily the worst trophy is for the contrived "River City Rivalry" between Pitt and Cincinnati. I'm a Pitt alum and it's embarrassing to see every year.
  14. One thing I've always admired about the 97 uniforms is the 3 points you get from the two side stripes and the helmet stripe pointing to the face, and all the same color. I LOVE the Orange jerseys, but that's broken when you have an orange point up top and two navy points. /realizes he's the only one who cares
