What a cluster. At this point in time, why even bother? It's not even competition anymore. Mismatched schedules, alignments, and rosters. 

Resembles the WHA, USFL, WFL, and ABA; and we know what happened to all of them.

I do think it's possible that it stays two-tiered, with 16 teams carrying dual affiliations in each for the sake of survival. But teams are so much more invested on putting their systems fully in their farm teams than they were 15 years ago, so even if that happened, I couldn't see it lasting long-term.

I agree with you 100% I noticed a big difference in the Cyclones attendance over the past couple of years. If they make it through it will surprise me.

So basically minor league hockey is on its way out, just like baseball. Sad.

Gonna be an interesting year in the ECHL. I could see a handful of teams going under this year. Whether it be from not playing, or from playing and not making enough money to keep things going. Gonna be hard for Toledo to make it through the season with Ohio's strict guidelines. They are only allowing 300 people into the arenas on game day/night. That includes players, coaches and staff. 150-200 fans are not going to foot all the utility and operation expenses. I hate to see this as it could be the demise of the ECHL. Not very many owners in this league have deep pockets.

The AHL on the other hand should be fine for the most part, where as most teams are owned by their NHL affiliate.

Well it's settled. The only losers out of the situation were the fans of San Antonio.

I'm still putting money on the KC Mavericks stepping up to the AHL and becoming the Blues' affiliate, even with new colors and uniforms. 

The Blues will simply give the Wolves the finger and send them to their demise.

I just don't see the Wolves staying in the AHL with this situation. 

As far as the Rampage, the ECHL is their only option, unless the Coyotes move to Houston...

Oh jeez. That was an era of CBJ that tested every fan. Right up there with the 90s Bengals. Only good thing of that time period was Rick Nash... And he stayed a lot longer than he should have.

The Blues' only choice is the Wolves, which is why I think the Wolves will be in the ECHL. 

Other than that, it's either forming a new team or helping an ECHL team move up. Maybe they will put a team back in Lexington. I'd love to see the Thoroughblades come back!

Im almost to the point of deleting my account on here. I have tried everything and every time I visit the site I am bombarded with spam. I've tried different browsers, blocksite and nothing works.

EDIT: for anyone who is having this problem. I have found a solution for my Android device. I went to the play store and downloaded the browser Ad Blocker.  Evidently whomever has coded this ad crap has worked around Google Chrome. This is the only thing I've found that works and stops this irritating mess. Hope it helps you if you are having the same issue.

Here's how to take all the BS out of college football. Start a new Division called Division 1 Elite. Each school has to pay a buy in. ...it comes down to the same schools every year anyways so let's just have a mega league. The "league" is broken down into four conferences of 12 based upon location. The top four from each conference move on to a single elimination tournament. Plain and simple. Better games better ratings.
