  1. Yeah, that's a beautiful matchup. Whenever the Panthers played in Tampa Bay, (before the whole one helmet rule) they always broke out the Creamsicles. I always appreciated that.
  2. I mean the Council probably already made their decisions, so...
  3. Not to be rude or anything, because I know you guys have lifes, but when is the announcement date? If I recall correct the nominees were announced a week in advance.
  4. That blue is a little too bright... But, pretty sure it will look pretty good in real life.
  5. I'll keep it simple: Panthers/Hornets/Hurricanes(starting to give hockey a shot this year)-Local pro teams. Wake Forest/Winston-Salem Dash- As local as it can get. Clemson- Where my brother goes to college, and most likely myself. Blue Jays- My name is Jai, pronounced like Jay, and 4 year old me thought that was cool. I also support just about any US national team, too. There also a few teams I just like, but not not as strong.(Chargers, Braves, Bulls, etc.)
  6. Maybe UConn. I still think that if 16 is the magic number, they will at least get a look.
  7. Maryland is going to be a doormat in the Big Ten.(It's going to be a cold day in hell before I acknowledge them as B1G) They are also $50 million down the hole, thanks to John Swafford's GettinThatCash exit fee. Also, UCF for Clemson? And Clemson to the SEC? Get out of here with that.
  8. UConn, stop flandering in football, then we can talk. If you thought ACC football was bad, this current brand of Husky football would make even the worst team look good.
  9. No there are at 14 for football, 15 for the other sports. Notre Dame is in the conference for all but football (and hockey of course) Let me remind you of my stance. I don't like conferences to have odd numbers.
  10. No, Maryland will leave. ACC = 14 total teams when all the dust settles. - Maryland departure brings them down to 11. - Pitt & Syracuse brings them up to 13. - Louisville brings them to 14. No, Notre Dame(in all but football) makes it 15. It may be my OCD kicking in, but all conferences should have even numbers. Yes, when the Big Ten(don't make me put B1G) had 11 it bugged the crap out of me.
  11. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9200081/acc-media-rights-deal-lock-schools-okd-presidents Seems like a ACC Network. Now that it seems like the ACC is in it for the long haul, can we stay at 5 conferences? (Also, I just noticed that the ACC is at 15 teams right now. Will UConn or Cincy join?)
  12. Back to more news... http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/9042949/notre-dame-big-east-agree-irish-exit-2-years-early-join-acc Norte Dame will join the ACC July 1.
  13. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/9031167/catholic-7-leaving-big-east-june-30 Catholic 7 leaving in June.(I'm surprised nobody has put this here yet.)
  14. Here's a thought. What if Maryland loses its case, but doesn't come with the money? Under Armour might pay the bulk, but I can't see them paying more than 15 million.
  15. ECU isn't a bad addition at all; Tulane on the other hand is WTF Louisville Needs to leave the Big East for the Big XII or the ACC. I've heard some rumblings that an announcement about ACC expansion during the Football Championship this weekend. Stay tuned.
  16. Yes, and they may go to the SEC. I understand your concerns about football competition wise, but what can the ACC do about it? Each conference has its share of low competition. Because FSU and Iowa State would definitely fill the stands at Doak.
  17. Hope it happens. Well, he erased his tweet so who knows. Wouldn't that mean that it was right? And if true, thank the lord Wake will have a spot at the big boy table. Maybe. I don't think this stops more deflections, though. If anything, they are preparing for more. True, but wasn't 16 the "safe" number for a super conference? More will come once the BE dissolves. I still think FSU voted no for a reason. Just like Maryland did. We also know the Big10 and SEC aren't done. Did the ACC plan to go to 16? I'm sure they did. I don't think they expected to do so this quickly. Feels like an emergency. I could see the ACC and Big Ten picking apart the Big East and the Pac 12 and SEC getting the Big 12

  20. The following is a list of ACC Bowl tie-ins: Peach Bowl Russell Athletic/Champs Sports Bowl Sun Bowl Belk/That Game In Charlotte Bowl Music City Bowl Independence/WeedEater Bowl Military Bowl Quite the lineup of fail/safes there folks. Bolded are the bowls I would go to in a heartbeat, including the Orange Bowl. You know the ACC saying, "5 out of 8 aint bad!"
  21. As an ACC fan, it would make me feel better if you guys came. (Got any conference friends?)
  22. They will get some cheers in Tallahassee. Some. Aren't there people down there who don't want FSU to jump ship? The vast majority wants out the ACC. I don't know why. Is it a athletic issue, or a financial issue?

  24. When I think about it, Maryland is going to get booed at all ACC away games this year and next.
