  1. Yes, reverse it. Would be sweet if you could. As far as the stripes, I know, I suck at those. Not sure how to make that work with Photoshop Elements. I'll play around with it to see if I can get mine to come out the same way you do. The way I so my stripes is not the proper way I'm sure but I'm just not sure of another way to do them.
  2. Darth, do you think you can do the same thing with the side view? The right side view?
  3. You're right, I'm actually going to do that. I really didn't plan on doing any of these helmets, minus the dolphins one, but I got a request for one and just added that. Then one request became two, then three and so on. After the last one that's what I'm going to do. Absolutely did not mean to hi-jack the thread but I guess that's what I've done. My apologies to Darth. I just really love these templates. They're probably the easiest and best looking ones I worked with so far.
  4. I've simply clicked warp or done puppet wrap for the bigger full helmet logos. I'll try this though. It might make them look a little better.I'll give those a try and do a comparison to see which one is better.
  5. For me, using Photoshop Elements.... Click VIEW - DISTORT - PINCH - set to -30% It's not perfect but does the job for me
  6. Here's a few more I did for a private request,
  7. Probably the third pants set will be orange instead gray. Haven't heard or read the rumors however so I'm just speculating.
  8. Agreed. Thanks to The Nati MacDaddy for that idea. He has a concept thread going using these templates with the three helmet layout
  9. Here's my Dolphins front-view and a smaller collage of all three.
  10. Here is the Dolphins with the front-view template and I revised the angle-view by adding some noise to the background to give it some texture.
  11. I'll give that a try. I'm thinking of doing the direct side as well. Thanks, I'm just just putting your masterpiece to good use....or trying to. Yeah, the striping is always tricky because most of the times you are winging it from scratch. Hard to get it just right... at least for me anyway. If you were to incorporate striping into the set that would be awesome. Multiple choices like single stripe, double, triple (like the old dolphins and skins), and maybe even the broncos or panthers striping. Thanks again for sharing your amazing work and I look forward to any updates you add.
  12. Here's my first attempt with this awesome template. I created this one in how I'd prefer the helmet to look. - I changed the navy to a deeper color of aqua. - Changed the facemask from white to aqua - Changed the navy stripe to orange to make it stand out more.
  13. B E A Utilful! Another idea, if you feel like putting the time into it, would be to do an instructional video. Step by step of what you did to create that logo. Would help us poor novices immensely.
  14. It's all good! I just feel bad because you clearly put a lot more time and effort into your response than most! I appreciate it! Not a problem at all. I enjoy doing this stuff and being a die hard Phins fans it was fun to work on that. I did a helmet with the logo as well.
  15. I guess I saw the first one again and assumed you went back to that one. My bad.
  16. Hey Dersch. I had some change recommendations for your Dolphins concept logo. I decided to go ahead and take a copy of your design and implement said recommendations myself. I think that makes it easier to get a sense of what the person is trying to portray if you can actually see it first hand as opposed to just trying to visualize it in your head. Original design Updated design Here are the modifications I made: - shorten the snout - round off the fins (dolphins have rounded fins) - bring the tail fin closer to the body - enlarged the sun a little - and i added a little twinkle in the dolphins eye. Just my two cents which is probably all it's worth.
  17. Thanks! But your comment on the star was kind of my reasoning behind going 6 over 5. Texas almost always uses the 5 pointed star, but the badge itself is more ambiguous on 5, 6, or even 7 points. I just thought it'd be a fun shift is all Thanks! I use Illustrator for nearly all of my logo work, icon and wordmarks alike. There's so much power that you can use in the stroke and envelope distort features alone there. I think Adobe still allows for free 30-day demos of the program, but (I could be wrong here) I also heard Creative Cloud is down to $20/month if you get just Illustrator, and it's something like $30/month for the entire suite. If you've got the scratch, it's worth investing in. If you're a student or educator (valid id), you could get a pretty sizable discount as well through JourneyEd or your school. I splurged and got the master collection and saved $1500 by doing it that way. Thanks for the info. I will look into that.
  18. Awesome, awesome work Dersch. Question, what software are you using to create your wordmarks? I want to recreate the wordmarks for the teams in my fantasy league and what I have to work with is limited. Thanks and great work.
  19. I think this is such a great thing. The talent level of the designers here, especially the award recipients, is utterly amazing. I always look forward to coming to this site and seeing what new creations and artistry that is on display. My most humble congratulations to the charter award winners and in my best Wayne and Garth impersonation, "I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy! I suck!!" Maybe one day they'll add a Best Use Of MS Excel Award then I could be in contention. Outside of that I'll just marvel at everyone else's talents.
  20. Thanks! I still may end up using my own simply because I created it but i'll know for sure once I begin revamping the existing website. www.ncaa.fedffl.com
