  1. Does anyone know where I can find a good paint template, other than the first post on this thread?

Football? Basketball? Baseball? Hockey? Soccer? Lacrosse? You need to be more specific, man. No one can help you if you do not specify what you're looking for.

  2. Patriots - when I started to get into football, it was when NE first faced the Giants in Super Bowl XLII. I chose New England to win mainly because of the color scheme and logo. When they lost, I stuck with them and disliked the Giants. I've stuck with the Pats since then.

  3. Why are they "West Virginia" and not "Morgantown" or "Mon Valley"? I thought MiLB frowned upon two teams having the same locale name (unless they were in far different areas of the nation)...we've already got the West Virginia Power!

Aren't they both affiliated with Pittsburgh too? Kind of odd.

    Also, new Tennessee Smokies logos:

Alright, next time I'm in Sevierville, I'm picking up some new Smokies merchandise. That package is beautiful
  4. Hey Ren, I'd really appreciate it if you could possibly do this Detroit Drive logo any justice.

No hurry though. Thanks in advance. Can't wait to see what you post next! That USF logo looks fantastic, BTW, as does the Miami Hurricanes one. Can't say I'm surprised though ;)

  5. Alright so last night, I painterized the new Nike template. I'm going to post it, I'm gonna have to guess you have to enlarge the picture and than save it to use it. If that still doesn't work I can email it to people who will leave me their email.

I'm happy with the way it turned out, had to do a lot of cleaning up. Still needs some work probably but I tried to make it very customizable. The back view of the helmet is actually one I created for a Revo Speed before but I did some more work on it. If you don't already, I suggest downloading Gimp and Paint.NET, it can help you customize the template even more and if you can get good at the programs, you can make it look cleaner, add effects, etc. I'll probably use this template as a base and create some Under Armor, Nike, & Adidas cuts. If I do that I'll post those. Anyways, hope y'all like it. I'm not really sure who the first person was to create this template, but if someone knows, I'll be sure to add their name to this post cause they really deserve the credit for actually creating this template. Oh I also added a visor to the helmet.

It is really user friendly, I thought about adding some other things but as a concept artist you should be able to customize it yourself and play around with what you want to add to it, it'll make you a better concept artist the more you practice and learn how to cleanly add things.

    Anyways, hope you enjoy!

EDIT: Once you click on the picture, it'll probably direct you to photobucket, if it does just click the download media button above the picture, that will give you the full size image and you should be able to use it in paint that way.

Just thought I would show off the template after I added effects with gimp.

Did you contact Matt Willcox before coping his unreleased template?
This is what I was going to ask earlier. I had made the same template previously and contacted him, but he kindly asked me to wait until he released his version to the public. As far as I know, it should only appear on the NCFA subforums
  6. I've been stumped on this one for quite a while, now.

Back in the mid-late 90s, the Milwaukee Brewers used a Germanic type font for their branding (the Motre Bame set):

    85970b_lg.jpeg

I've been searching for a while now for an actual typeface of this same style...does anyone have any kind of clue if one actually exists? For what it's worth, a similar type of lettering also appears at the bottom of this poster:

    pittsburgh_fowler_1902.png

Something more similar to that lettering is what I'm actually trying to (re)create; I just need something to use as a point of comparison.

Any and all help/suggestions greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.

Conrad created a 1994 Brewers font that looks exactly like that. I believe that's what you're looking for
  7. I understand the second suspension thread for the guy with four accounts, he made the third and fourth to get around being banned. But I don't remember seeing in the rules that you can't have two accounts. Is that a recent add?

He got suspended and created the second account which got both of those banned, then created 2 more
Actually, the GraysonColtsBoy account was created long before the MrRangersFan account.
  8. What is the "warning points" as I just noticed the "0" under my profile name today?

It's how many times you've been warned by a mod. If it gets high enough, they will suspend/ban you.

In case I got something wrong, you should skim the past couple of pages. I guarantee a better answer will turn up

  9. Would anybody else be in favor in creating a post limit before someone could start a thread in the concepts forum? I think something like 300 posts would greatly benefit that forum. Once someone has contributed long enough to amass 300 posts, they should be familiar with how the concepts forum works and the quality and forethought that goes into a good concept. This could help cut down on posts like, "help me decide what to do for a Denver soccer team!"

Just a thought, I could be alone ere.

You're not alone. It's not a bad idea, really. However, 300 seems a little high. Somewhere around 200-250 might be enough. There should also be a feature that prevents you from posting a topic there w/o a concept/picture in the OP.

  10. For my fellow NASCAR fans:

This is the top view of a Generation 6 Ford Fusion for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. I will try and make a side view and rear-view version of this template as well as a template for Chevy and Toyota. Enoy!
