Not D1 but in D3's USA South Athletic Conference, Greensboro College Pride of Greensboro, NC rebranded last week.  I'm a fan of how the placement of the lions, Leo & Leona, were changed to be presented as equals.  Lure Design of Orlando, FL assisted with the design.  There is a new Lions over GC logo too.  If you're not familiar with Greensboro College, it's a liberal arts college with 1000-1300 students sandwiched between UNC Greensboro & North Carolina A&T.  Article

I'd have rather see two equally crafted logos (one male, one female) and use a single head for whichever sport it matched. Unless this is intended for co-ed teams that have both males and females on them.

I usually dislike double- or triple-outlining, but I think it works well with the Saints' logo. It used to have a single outline, and it looked rather plain. I much prefer the Drew Brees version to the Bobby Hebert version:

Needs to be bigger though. But tough to see anything past the gold neck roll.

Double outlines can be good ways to reinforce novel color schemes. Teal/silver/black numbers would look top-notch for the Sharks, better than plain old teal and black do. They do look bad on the Habs' whites, but double outlines would work (and have!) on the cult-classic chest-stripe whites.

In my opinion and experience, double outlines are a misguided attempt to give an existing look a better feel. Similar to the mistake of adding a random black outline to something and thinking it is an improvement. Generally when designers feel the need to add these things there is some other underlying problem with the design that needs addressing. In the Mariners' case, I think it was change for change's sake rather than changing for the better. But, we see this mistake made everywhere.

I actually like these variants of the lions uniforms. Was the addition of black unnecessary? Yes. But did it ruin the uniform? No. It was a solid look during a period where the lions were at their worst (believe it or not)

That set always looked to me like something I would have doodled with a Sharpie over the non-black Lions uni.

I don't really get what everyone's love of standard block lettering is, especially for unique/modern uniform sets. An example of this is the bengals IMO

The problem, especially with a look as busy as the Bengals (with the stripes, orange/black), is it's just too much going on. A basic numeral font and simple outline (no drop shadow) compliments the design rather than competing with it.

  6. I love soccer kits and clash kits. Some clash kits are great while others are horrible. But, I love the flexibility and opportunity they give to explore new solutions.

And, soccer jerseys with collars are especially nice since men in their 40s-50s can wear them to support their team without looking like they are trying to be a kid wearing a football, basketball, or baseball jersey.

I like where your head's at but I'm not crazy about that jersey. Too much yellow, maybe?

I'd actually remove the yellow pin stripe from the collar and the edge of the sleeve. Just one stripe in each area. And pair it with white pants (with either a thin yellow, or brown, or brown/yellow/brown pin stripe going down the side).

It's not exactly on par with most of the logos in the MLS, but I still think this is a pretty solid logo.

I don't hate it, I just think they should downsize/simplify it.  It nearly looks like a corporate logo amongst the MLS sheet.

NE Revs, I dunno.  The paint brush scheme is nice, that it needs a large area to convey isn't so much.

I see the paint brush motif being more for applications (posters, signage, advertisements, etc.) than for the actual logo or uniform.

As it is, drives me nuts that they have the clean, typed out NEW ENGLAND and TM mixed with the brush strokes.

Here's a doozy... I actually really like the LA Clipper's centre court bright white (not the logo)... the white really stands out neatly & bright.  Their future logo should incorporate a white basketball &/or that white as primary colour.

Video game shot, yet I couldn't find tv shots of it nor did the template do it quite justice.

This would look even better if the keys were white with black outlines.

How's this for unpopular? When I first saw U-Dub wear black football uniforms in 2010 or so, I actually kind of liked them, and they have become one of the few BFBS sets I enjoy. (I probably still like them better in purple, though.)

Huskies would be undefeated and ranked #2 right now were it not for those horrible black uniforms.
