Ever since I was a dumb little kid, I’ve always pronounced the Sabres As Sabres

(Saw-brays, not Say-Burs) I know I pronounce it wrong, but 10 yr old me didn’t make the connection that a team with a buffalo mascot was named after a sword/sabre. I proudly pronounce it wrong even though the people around me groan when they hear it

  2. My school (Concordia University-Wisconsin) is releasing a new set of logos today.

Sorry for the bad image quality, I couldn't find any copies of the letter insignia online. The logos were created through BVK, a Milwaukee-based marketing agency.

For reference, here's what we were sporting before the change

Obviously, the Falcon logo is a tremendous upgrade, but I think I like the old letter mark better. Overall, I'm very happy with the change and will be looking to score a t-shirt or hat with the new falcon ASAP. Besides the logo changes, the school is also dropping any orange from its athletic brands, which is good because only about half the sports used it anyway. For the full press release go to https://www.cuwfalcons.com/athletics/generalreleases/2018-19/CUW_Athletics_unveils_new_logos_051319

And the style guide can be found here https://www.cuwfalcons.com/athletics/logos/2019/CUW_Athletics_Brand_Identity_Guide_040319.pdf

  3. {don't use internet explorer}

that's not a helpful answer. Are there any adults capable of explaining the issue ? this shouldn't be that difficult. I should be able to use what ever I want and this site should adapt for ease of use accordingly.

Anyone with a more adult and helpful answer ?

He's right, though. Whenever I use Internet Explorer, I can't embed images or quote things without the site crashing. Google Chrome doesn't have any of these problems, I suggest using that

  4. Just tried it again and now it's happening every single time I click a topic - and even after I click "back" to go back. It shows me the topic for a second then switches to women's health.

Not only that, but even when I click on forums (which doesn't cause the redirect like topics do) it launches tabs to advertiser sites.

I'm done with this on iPad. If it starts happening on phone i may need to be done all together since that's my primary posting method now.

I totally get the need for ads, but there's a difference between an advertisement and totally hijacking your device. I apologize if this is just a virus or something that's specific to my particular device, and I know that it's not like CC or whoever is sitting there consciously making this happen, but I hope it can stop.

I had the same thing happen to me as well. For me, it was on my laptop. No problems on the phone.

It stopped recently, though. I was finally going to make a post about it too before it stopped. Good to know it wasn't just me.

I had it happen a couple days ago on my iPad as well. Not sure what the heck would cause it.

I experienced this too, both laptop and Ipad, it lasted a few days and then stopped as quickly as it had started, very odd.

This has happened to me, but a virus scan always seems to clear it up.

  5. Every so and often when I click on internal board links I get randomly redirected to an advertising/clickbait type page, for some reason it seems particularly prevalent when opening sub-forums from the main page, whilst the rest of the internet seems fine. Is anyone else getting this, or is this something weird going on at my end?

That used to happen for me, lasted about a week, then it went away.

  6. Would anybody else be in favor in creating a post limit before someone could start a thread in the concepts forum? I think something like 300 posts would greatly benefit that forum. Once someone has contributed long enough to amass 300 posts, they should be familiar with how the concepts forum works and the quality and forethought that goes into a good concept. This could help cut down on posts like, "help me decide what to do for a Denver soccer team!"

Just a thought, I could be alone ere.

I agree about the post limit, but I think 100 would work better than 300.
