  1. this thread is about uniform match ups, not some dude who spent a year in such and such a uniform. That is what the "players in the wrong uniform" thread is for.
  2. This matchup isn't rare at all, it happened 2 times a year for 10 years
  3. tampa bay does have a wordmark it's just on the left sleeve instead for some stupid reason
  4. Looks like someone drew it on with a really fat sharpie
  5. It's not pink, its red in real life, it's just that picture makes it look lighter and thus makes it look pink
  6. It worked for the blue jays because their logo is actually good, that one looks so awkward and throws off any sort of balance in the jersey with the logo they have
  7. Well, at least you admitted that's an unpopular opinion. Baseball needs to mandate that stirrups, 5" cut, be worn at all times. Hopefully, that will be worked in the CBA and things will start evolving from there.Far from unpopular, the majority of the players not like stirrups and the owners dont care whether their players wear them or not. It's never going to be a rule especially since it use to be a rule that has since been canned.
  8. If you want to see awful, look at the Colorado Avalanche (I'm a Red Wings fan).Or your profile pic
  9. Back in the day it was because the die in colored socks would bleed into a players skin and was toxic so they wore white socks and stirrups to help that. Now there really is no need for them and I hated reading uni watch because of Paul lucus' boner for themI guess that's why the white socks are called sanitary socks.yes but after doing some research it turns out i was alittle bit wrong it was only thought that the die was a health risk, in actuality there was no health risk and they could have worn full colored socks if they had known.

  11. It looks way too cartoony for me, it's what I'd expect a team from a Disney movie to wear minus the maple leaf
  12. it isn't just that, it's that you are a troll who just posts pullovers, calling them the future when they were a bad idea in the 80's that has since died, isn't coming back and no matter how much petitioning you do and say baseball should go "back to the future" of "the golden age of baseball" and have a delusional sense that everyone is dying for pullovers to return when it's just you who thinks so.
  13. I don't think they auction them off because what cause would the proceeds go to.
  14. A Hall-of-Famer who played his entire career with one team, led them to back-to-back championships, and is the greatest player in team history? Yes, it absolutely counts. The point isn't the team, obviously. The point is that his correct uniform is this one: Still doesn't make it his wrong uniformBut it does. This argument just shows how badly this thread has degenerated from its original point. When the majority of people think of John Elway, they picture him in the old uniforms. Ergo, those are the "right" uniforms. Now, follow along with me: another uniform, since it wouldn't be "right", would be "wrong". Sure, it may not have the "Holy crap!" factor of, say, Bobby Orr as a Black Hawk (was that before it after the name change?) because he had some hilight moments in them, but it's not his primary uniform. Comprondez-vous?A person can have more than one right uniform, and that is the case here. He led that team to back to back championships and that is what a lot of people remember him in.

  16. Why the hell does the commissioner get a ring!?!?!I can hear the conspiracy theories now...
  17. And that, in a word, was awesome. Truly a classy thing to do. But you have to admit, this is a newer trend. Really not common in years past, no? The Canadian Football League rings started this trend. The 1991 Toronto Argonauts had.... "Home" on the inside of their rings.... 2006 - BC Lions - "Reason and Purpose" 2007 - Saskatchewan Roughriders - "Believe" 2008 - "We Got Them Right Where We Want 'EM" 2011 - BC Lions = "Make History" I'm sure there were other rings from the CFL too. ---------------------------------------------------- In the NFL it looks like this trend caught on, starting in 2009.... Saints 2009 had "Special/Smell Greatness" and their scores from the games. Packers 2010 had "1 Mind/Goal/Purpose/Heart" and the scores from their games too. Giants 2011 had "All In" and "Finish" Ravens 2012 ring had the scores and teams the ravens beat none of these were memorials, just sayings
  18. well the red sox has the "boston strong" emblem on theirs world series ring if that counts.
  19. I can approve the realignment, but how come Houston is not in the list?Houston should be westAnd I'd put Chicago in the east Having them in the west requires so much more travel for them with all the other west teams being so far away You have a point right there wonderbread, and I can understand that. Chicago should be in the East, if Houston is included. But that would leave an empty spot on the West with 11 teams, needing a 24th franchise in general for the league. I think that it should be either in Phoenix or another city in Texas. Just my opinion. And both East and West conferences should be divided equally into 2 6-team divisions. You feel me?I understand that but the nhl is able to work with uneven divisions because of travel, and until recently the mlb did to, i dont think there needs to be a perfect split among the teams especially with a league that is still growing and doesn't have a lot of revenue and trying to save money
