  1. I dunno, that style horn on the helmet might look cool. It depends on how they do the rest of the uniform. The logo itself is kinda boring but I don't hate it nearly as much as some of you do. I can see the croissant comparison sticking around.
  2. Orange/pink/burgundy. Black/orange/lime green Purple/red/silver
  3. Who is that? Here's the thing, and I know it's probably a weird opinion to have but I'm sticking with it: every league but the NFL needs one team that rocks purple and teal. I'm by excluding the NFL because I just can't imagine a football team pulling that color scheme off. Every other sport, though, it looks damned good, but you can't have more than one team sporting it or it screws up the Feng shuei of the whole league. I think you have to maintain a color balance. Red and blue teams are always gonna be more prevalent because primary colors are easier to work with. When you get into your secondary and tertiary colors things start getting tricky.
  4. I think there should be no more than one or two teams in every league that sport purple. The lack of Kelly green, though, is downright criminal.
  5. I'm on board with updated Super Bowl uniforms for the Bucs.
  6. When the Patriots wore those full time I was barely aware New England even had a pro football team.
  7. The Chiefs' uniforms are just about perfect as they are. Why mess with that?
  8. *This should go with my post above.
  9. I'm as guilty of this as anyone. Every year I tell myself I'm sticking to Bengals games and the odd Sunday night matchup, then I get invested in an Eagles - Bears game just because they have two of my favorite uniforms.
  10. The NFL's almost hit the point where there's just too much of it, if not already. You have your regular early/late games on Sunday; Sunday nights; Monday nights, Thursday night; even Saturday when the college season is over. That's four out of seven days every week. Plus the NFL Network all day, every day, if you need to catch up on every minute bit of the offseason. Part of the allure of the NFL used to be it was a couple nights a week a few months a year. Now you almost can't get away from it.
  11. 32 teams, 16 games, 6 team playoff works out almost perfectly mathematically. I like the neatness of how the schedule works now. 17 games and one more team in the playoffs? Chaos, man, utter chaos.
  12. I actually like St. Loius' Crayola uniforms, but I also once bought a Train cd on purpose, with my own money, so I'm not completely trustworthy.
  13. If they're going back to creamsicles, it needs to be straight red, orange, and white. Pewter or black added to that scheme would just look wrong.
  14. I kinda hope they go back to white facemasks. They just look more like the classic Browns that way.
  15. NHL, and also my favorite sport: Blue Jackets, Devils, and Islanders MLB: Reds, Giants, and Mariners NFL: Bengals, Browns, and a shifting rotation of Eagles and Bears College: Oklahoma, Arkansas, and pretty much every team in greater Cincinnati.
  16. How many people have already said they wanted more yellow? I would have liked more yellow. Why did they need to add black? It seems to me red, yellow, and grey would have been a pretty solid color scheme. These aren't great, but they're not terrible. I'm just wondering why, when the Raptors winning the championship just a week ago, now we have another red and black team. It feels a little bit like bad timing.
  17. The orca, if you look closely, also forms the letter "c" AND a hockey stick! It works on multiple levels!
  18. I like the new Canuck set. It's probably my favorite of the ones they've had.
  19. I used to work with a guy who listened to SEC radio all the time. I wanted to jump into oncoming traffic. It was physically painful to listen to some of those callers. To be fair, there was a morning show on one of the top 40 stations that was just as terrible. One of the moron hosts actually got into a ten minute argument that as you move West from Oklahoma, you'll go through Arizona before you reach New Mexico.
  20. I generally assume that all pro sports owners hold advanced degrees in dickery so I ignore them when I pick a team to root for.
  21. Honestly, I'm still just happy to have a home team. I grew up playing pick up games in a church parking lot because hockey's just not a thing where I come from. The nearest team was Dallas, and that was still six, seven hours away. I'm not sure if it's just the natural dislike of Texas all Oklahomans are born with or that at the time they seemed like a bunch of chumps that still managed to win but I never liked the Stars. Now that I've moved here and the Blue Jackets are just a day trip away I actually think I've enjoyed hockey more. I definitely don't feel as alone in my fandom anymore. I've changed my mind. I like the Blues and Bruins in the final, with the Blues winning in six. The Bruins will drop a couple games they shouldn't and the Blues take advantage.
  22. All this lamenting of the Bruins winning the Cup when the conference finals haven't even started yet... I dunno, seems a bit premature.
