  1. Why do they keep the "FC" meaning football club ? Logo reminds me of the grocery chain store Food Lion. They must be the Cincinnati Food Lions
  2. I stand corrected, I don't remember the Patriots being the home team and deciding to wear their white road jerseys last year.
  3. IF the Rams make it to the Super Bowl this year, they most likely will have to wear their white uniforms with the white horns on the helmet. The AFC team will be the designated home team in the Super Bowl this Feb and will have their choice of jersey color. Philadelphia was the home team last year (NFC)
  4. Actually, Seattle's grey is "lighter" than those shades of grey used other NFL teams´╗┐.
  5. Actually, Seattles grey is "lighter" than those shades of grey used other NFL teams.
  6. Hey Browns organization, notice how white numbers "pop off" brown jerseys. Not orange. Much easier to read from a distance, which isn't that the purpose of numbers on jerseys in the first place, to be able to identify players easier ??????
  7. So whats wrong with plain ? All uniforms don't have to have busy stripes, two-tone jerseys or helmets, wild piping etc. Just give me plain pants, jersey and slap a number on it and lets go. Stop trying to be so different. Less is more.
  8. The shade of silver they are using is too light. The navy helmets are terrible, the proposed silver helmet concept with the battered texture effect would have been cool and unique.
  9. Is the shade of teal the Jaguars are using with their new uniforms this year a "lighter" shade ? In the photos from the pre-season it looks a lighter color than in years past.
  10. When did the Saints remove the Louisiana state outline from their jerseys? I know it hasn't been there since the Nike rebrand. Bad move on their part.It was removed before the 2007 season I It was a patch to celebrate their return to the Supderdome/New Orleans after Katrina, right? It was worn for their first season back after bouncing from place to place in 2005. I liked the sleeve version better White numbers pop better off black jersey
  11. No, they are a football team that wears dark jerseys and dark pants. Which is very common in football today, has been for decades now and will continue to be for years to come. OK.........What other NFL team wears the same color dark jerseys and pants at home ALL THE TIME ?????? Answer.......NONE.................................................. Texans, Jets, Bengals, Rams, Saints, Browns, Panthers, Cardinals, Jaguars, and Chiefs have all done it in the last few years. Rams, Saints, Jaguars, and Cardinals have worn dark monochrome on a fairly regular basis. But NOT ALL THE TIME..............................................................
  12. There's too much black. Raiders Steelers Bengals Saints Ravens Cardinals Eagles Jaguars Maybe it's just me, but it did seem like a more colorful league in the 1970s, and I liked it. Thank you for posting this magnificent pic from one of my favorite childhood memories. I gazed at the NFL pages of the Sears catalogue for countless hours as a kid growing up in the 70s, and the jacket and cap were the holy grail to the NFL fanboys I grew up with. All I ever had was the Steelers cap, but I wore it till it was ratty. And I too agree, the NFL of the 70s had a glorious look. Notice all the different, bright colors of all the teams. You can notice right away which teams are which. Not like today as just about every team has to be navy blue or black and has to look closely up close to see who the teams are.

  14. So... They have the Patriots logo in the middle under the wordmark (as is per their wordmark), but... what will go on the left of it? Nothing? NOTHING...........................
  15. All navy bowl. Both end zones are navy. Patriots wearing navy pants. Seahawks dressed in navy helmets, jerseys and pants............way too much navy as is most of the league now days.............................
  16. The blue pants were shipped to the Super Bowl along with their blue jerseys......
  17. WOW, so your saying in the year 2000, the totem image on the right looks closer to the new logo of today rather than the original logo on the left ?????? The original logo would have been carved into the wood on the totem rather than the sleek image of the new one. The original logo would work better with the other native american art as on the current uniforms with the icon wings and jersey yoke striping.
  18. Very much agree. The old logo image is what you would have found on totem poles by the native americans, not the modern fierce use one used now, along with the feather stripe icons on the pants. Hate navy blue, especially mono blue combo. Miss the original royal blue, kelly green and silver colors which no one now uses in the NFL.
  19. Screw up the Browns and Rams new uniforms
  20. The 1976 Seattle Seahawks.....As a new expansion team, the unique wrap around helmet logo and the Royal Blue, Kelly Green and Silver scheme was different from other teams which drew me in. Sadly, they do not look as good today. I used to dream of seeing those uniforms in a Super Bowl. Also I did like the orange shade of the Buccaneers from that era.
  21. Their spindoctoring......................Trying to put a positive spin on something that has had a negative overall reaction and is bad
  22. If your team is going to change uniforms in the future, Why can't Nike design maybe three different concepts of uniform prototypes, complete with road and home templets, and let the fans vote on the one design that will make most of the fans happy ?
  23. My question is WHY ? What was wrong with the old uniforms/helmet ????? And this is the best they could come up with ? Really ????????
  24. With such cool subject matter, the Bucs sure miss the boat a lot. Skull on flag, simply too much going on. Would rather the helmet BE the flag, red with wavy shading, whatever, and have the skull on the side. Bottom line, trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. Noticable notes on the above photo with all three helmets featured in the same constant lighting. New helmet color of pewter is "lighter" mostly silverish looking compared the the goldish color of old pewter helmet. Facemask of chrome nearly matches color of new pewter. Red flag logo color is brighter red than old. Football on logo is the creamsicle orange of original buccaneers as opposed the the darker orange football on old logo. Look for silver to be used on new uniforms as a secondary or trim color, maybe even pant color. Would not be surprised if, since the throwback uniforms of bucs can't be used anymore due to helmet color, that an alternate florida orange jersey is introduced. Larger logo reminds me of Texans large logo that fills entire side of helmet. Many expansion teams in the 60s-70s era used extra large logos on their helmets so they could be seen from the stands better.
  25. I agree. Been my dream since 1976. That logo and colors were the image I fell in love with and cheering as I grew up. Wish at least they would have kept those colors back when the changed in 2002.
