double post.

Quebec City's getting their foot in the door, Quebecor's planning to apply for the expansion slot alongside Vegas. This is a company worth almost $10 billion so they can certainly afford the expansion fee.

Hover over someone's username until their profile comes up, and then click on the notifications tab. That works as well.

Is it over? After 4 years and over 5600 posts, is it all going to come to an end?
(Before we start heavily examining the Florida and Carolina situations, of course)

For the life of me I couldn't find the old Coyotes/Glendale/relocation thread, otherwise I'd post this there, but... this... is... priceless.
http://www.12news.com/story/news/local/arizona/2015/06/10/coyotes-glendale-contact/28779763/
Wasn't that this thread?
So if Glendale vote to axe the Yotes deal, what are the actual odds of the team relocating. Would the ownership be looking at moving back to Talking Stick, or would all these rumours about a team moving this summer suddenly come true? We know the league has the potential to throw money at this team to try and get it to succeed, do we think this is the final straw?

Okay guys....
I just got my 1st ever notification from here because a comment I made was liked. Howver, I can't seem to clear it off as read, nor is the comment liked in the actual thread. How do I fix this? I don't wanna see a 1 there all the time...
Hover your mouse above a username until a little box comes up with their info, then click the notifications tab. The drop-down menu will appear and the notification will disappear.

4. The moon, because more people have been there than have been to Jobing.com Arena.
:censored:ing. REKT.
But weren't the Coyotes home games faked?
-
Bettman did make a weird comment in Winnipeg re: expansion and alignment, though, along the lines of "if 16-14 worked, so does 17-15." Quebec and Vegas?
It'd be a great thing for the league for sure, and I really don't expect the league to play with 31 teams if the Vegas expansion is granted. But I'd rather have a team set up shop in Portland or another northern market if Seattle or Milwaukee become viable, so the league plays with even conferences; and then let the three ring circus of Arizona, Vegas, and Florida fall where they may and have one of them find their way up to Quebec.
-
Bill Foley had this to say about his Vegas expansion team, according to Yahoo
"The league has been positive and supportive with our efforts. We feel like we're on the 1-yard line with this thing."
It looks like the similarities with Seattle don't stop at the fact that neither of them are getting NHL franchises anytime soon.

I was about to laugh at this, but then I realized that it was posted three days after April Fools.

how do you post youtube videos
Media [in square brackets], then your video url, then /media [in square brackets again]

Anaheim just isn't a Wednesday hockey kind of town, apparently. Real Sunrise kinda vibe to Honda Center tonight. Again.
We have a habit of making that happen

Is there a business that treats its best customers worse than the NHL does?
The league seems to be entirely focused on getting as many new fans as possible, then they don't bother to get them to stay.

A quick Voynov update:
-
More Leafs fans threw their sweaters on the ice last night, and we're thrown out of the game and banned from all MLSE activities for a year, now the Toronto Police is completely taking the piss about it on Twitter.
Go check it out, it's so stupid it's hilarious. #Jerseygate

Flyers up 7-2 on the Lightning with 5 minutes left in the 2nd
Forget Rob Zepp, they could have put a slightly overweight squirrel in net and It wouldn't have made a large difference.
-
Haha, Ice Cap is laying the thunder down now. Boom!
On an aside, I'm surprised at how well the Preds and Flames have done out west. Considering they haven't had much sustained success either way, I wish them well. Just not when they're against San Jose or Detroit.
Well the Flames just broke an 8 game losing streak, so I think the magic might be running out in their party.

I believe the Civic Centre is underneath the bleachers of Ottawa's football field, which instinctively makes any teenage girls in attendance start giving out handjobs.
It is. The inside of the arena looks really strange as a result. There are barely any seats behind the benches, and the jumbotron is on the wall:
Don't forget, the Senators played their first 2 seasons there, so that's a former NHL arena as well.
It's been sort of well used over it's history. A CHL team, two memorial cups, two WHA teams, an NHL team, and an NLL team. But I say sort of because besides the 67's, the average team stays there for one and a half seasons.
-
Then what the hell happens to the Scotiabank Tire Palladium? It's not like its old or out of date. And Ottawa doesn't exactly seem like a two arena town.
This is Ottawa we're talking about here, by the time this would be in full spring the Palladium would be at least 40 years old.
-
Looks like the Senators are finally starting to realize that having their arena out on a distant edge of a separate city might not be a good idea and... Whoops! Looks like we had a 20 hectare area of empty land just sitting smack downtown for the past 50 years

These jerseys clashed twice in 1977-78, then didn't face each other again until 2004.
The vintage sweater program should be brought back, at least for the league's centennial.
-
Man, it keeps getting worse.
They called that 10,010 people.
I call that bull
The Panthers are releasing their attendance figures in binary now.
If that's binary, then only 18 people showed up to the game. The rest are either cardboard Fatheads of the same fans or robots posing as human beings.
Or people waiting for the open tryouts after the game

It's the number of likes your posts have gotten

At the top of the scoreboard it says Buffalo - 0 Boston -0, those wouldn't happen to be the ticket prices for those games, would it?Is it just me, or does the attendance in FLA look even worse tonight than the game against Ottawa?
Edit: Here's a photo of the attendance for "Hispanic Heritage Night"

I agree, the league could easily expand into Seattle and Quebec and succeed there, but as long as they have teams in locations such as Phoenix and Sunshine over Milwaukee and Portland they're going to have revenue and marketing problem.
