  1. DANG... maybe this one works... WSJ: Jay-Z Determined To Make The Nets Stylish
  2. Aw HECK WSJ Jay-Z Determined To Make The Nets Stylish
  3. As Seen On "Ladies and gentlemen, your New York Nets" thread: This life long Nets fan STILL hasn't gotten over them NOT pulling the mid 1990's trigger on"YOUR New Jersey Swamp Dragons!". I drummed up Brooklyn Knights on this here very fine board many moons ago, "Knights" being One Of The Last Great Major Pro Nicknames Left Unused IMHO. "Brooklyn" will market SO much bigger beyond The Tri-State Area. Anyway, it was great watching Rick Barry Nets on fuzzy black and white TV. Dr. J Nets were LIVE & In COLOR! WSJ "Jay-Z Determined To Make The Nets Stylish" http://online.wsj.co...DNewsCollection "Revamped Logo!", "New Uniform Style!", "BOLD New Color Scheme!", we can but hope. So, discuss, play nice and keep DIGGIN' this season's throwbacks. I KNEW Ricky Rubio would ROCK that Muskies jersey! I was THIS close to getting a Chris Kaman LA Stars # 35, and THEN...

  5. BLUE Jays MUST have a NICE "T" primary cap as they never have. The current italicized J "initialslug" "T" attempt NO longer counts. General direction of old new new old Jays look is otherwise good. Frankly cartoon critter caps are OK, like the O's, which suggests a Toronto O's Baltimore Blue Jays mish mosh look. A nice script "Blue Jays" home jersey, an ornithological blue jay bird cap logo. Home BLUE pinstrips'd work too. The AMAZING Fabwell's Canadian Baseball Fantasy's ALways included a mooted "What if the Jays and NOT Les Expos entered MLB 1969?" What if Toronto snuck in MLB in the 1962 expansion? Modern Nostalgia, NO way around it, the '12 Jays' Look'll be GREAT... with a NICE "T" cap!
  6. This used to be a good forum. CC's a great guy but for the last few years nitwits have taken over the discourse. Now it's hardly worth reading much less posting @. Seriously guys, grow up, unplug, get laid, get lives. I DID.
  7. Has this been mentioned? When the NHL Ducks were last bought the owner considered not only changing the team name from "Mighty Ducks" but from Ducks altogether. This was reported in LA area papers, can't find an old link. They considered and I think registered the Cali state critter & bird, The "Anaheim Bears" & "Anaheim Condors", respectively. Obviously they chose otherwise but since then I'm smitten with "Condors" as a Cali sports team name, since you've ALL likely already dismissed "OC SurfDawgz" as possibility. Maybe the Ducks owner still has license to "Anaheim Condors", he's said to be a HUGE hoops & NBA fan who grew to love hockey by the time his NHL team won The Cup. The Anaheim/OC/Inland Empire ETC region's PLENTY big enough to support @LEAST a 3rd major league team. My hunch is Las Chivas de MLS end up somewhere in OC/Inland Empire ie whichever city reaches for their ankles & makes the facility deal. I take the cue of a good LA Times baseball writer who I hope only half-humorously joked about the MLB possibility The Inland Empire A's Of Ontario or somesuch. HEY Anaheim NBA fans with your own team OUR beloved Anaheim Grunions or somesuch'll STILL be able to ROCK ABA Amigo throwbacks against, oh, say, Los Clippers STYLIN' Buffalo Braves or better yet SD Clipper retro gear. IF Anaheim NBA's regional sports TV revenue potential is considerable AND if the NBA Kings owners sell equally substantive equity to the Anaheim Ducks owner, the move COULD happen AND work. Remember where you heard it folks... NBA ANAHEIM CONDORS ("Sack O' Tomatoes" Sac'to Fans 'I share your potential pain' as a CT native who probably won't see Hartford NHL AGAIN in HIS lifetime... 'Only A Game'... 'Condors', GOOD relocated LA NFL team name...YEAH)
  8. AAO: Nice stuff! Could one of you kind folk post a jpg here of the I think 93/94 mooted but rejected new Clippers logo & colors? I PROMISE this time to actually copy it, thanks in advance. Mr. Sterling is a strong Worst Pro Sports Owner candidate and an all-time worst contender. As long as he's around the Clips'll make the playoffs every decade if they're lucky & promising early draft picks will cut out as soon as their free agency kicks in. Billy Crystal & Frankie Muniz are among the Clips' celeb fans, dunno about the 15K+ or so who also regularly show up for Clips games . . .
  9. VANCOUVER NBA This all played out in the press/online a few weeks ago, or so I thought. Mr. Canuck's "Not @ this time" response could mean he'd pursue an NBA team in better economic times. This is likely a great time to buy an NBA team @ a bargain rate. "The Amazing Fabwelll Predicts!" maybe the OKC Sonic Thunder move has triggered a Mini-NBA Relocation-arama where the potential arena profits drive the whole crazy biz we call sport. The notion of Indiana withOUT NBA basketball is absurd, I tell ye all! Then again, I once said the same of LA & the NFL . . . sigh . . . anyway . . .
  10. Sept. '08 SF Chronicle said Warriors are considering the new Bay Bridge span as a logo icon in the fashion of the classic 60's "The City" unis: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?.../MNVT132PRU.DTL Discuss among yourselves; reprising the bridge icon is a good idea, color choice variation could be interesting .
  11. You all have killed a topic that's hibernating if not actually dead with all your WAY off topic NBA re-alignment prattle. NOTHING more boring . . . Say, what IS the topic . . .
  12. EZ Street: 2 MORE minutes for Unfuny Impertinence! You need a timeout, son . . . keep it up & you'll be trolling indoor soccer fan sites . . .
  13. It's official, I have NO life enjoying you all jackal-pounce poor Asm2931, just home from school & wants to show us all his NEATO buncha pro hockey dealios. Wants to show his e-pals his toys & he gets a bloody nose. Tough audience. This oughta be GOOD . . .
  14. As greedy/hungry as I am for an LA NFL team, I suggest re-reading the Phila. Daily News article that's started this "LA NFL Relocation" go-round. The Daily News reporter NEVER states the purported mogul trying to buy the Jags intends to relocate them to LA or anywhere. That this mogul is likely trying to buy the Jags seems real & newsworthy. Here the Daily News reporter repeats the familiar "Jags To LA?" rumor as speculation with NO mention of any "sources" unnamed or otherwise to corroborate that the tire-kicking Jags' mogul wanna be owner plans relocation. Here's where the story so far gets interesting to me: The Fla. Times Union Jax paper reporters are the ones reporting on the original Phila. Daily News story & construing the LA Relocation rumor as "unnamed sources" relocation substantiation, which amounts to a rumor about a rumor on THAT particular notion. The Jags in play & for sale? THAT's a story right now. Them being relocated? A rumor of a rumor I sez, for now
