  1. Seattle Kraken (10 of 32)

Back at it after a little hiatus. I'll start this by saying - Seattle has some of my favorite unis in all of the NHL. I didn't want to stray far from what they currently have, but I played around a bit with the sleeve striping and pattern. I also introduced a dark shoulder yoke on both the away and alternate. I've kept all their primary colors intact and brought in a light blue alt third jersey. For the heritage, I got a little weird. I brought in a gradient to the bottom of the sleeves and numbers. It's different, but wanted to a little outside the box compared to a lot of Kraken concepts I've seen. Brought the anchor / Space Needle logo to the front crest to pay homage to the city and moved the S to the shoulders.  Hope you enjoy my version of the Kraken!

  2. San Jose Sharks (9 of 32)

Next up is San Jose. Maybe it's the 90s in me, but I love the color teal. One thing that I wanted to do with this design was to bring more black into the uniform. While I love teal, there is such a thing as too much (i.e. current Sharks). So I darkened this design with a bit of black on the sleeves and the waist. Teal home, white away, black alt and a funky heritage. Numbers are all simple block. Didn't get too crazy there. Shoulder patch is the modernized shark fin on the home and away. I opted for no patch on the alt or heritage, as it was too much imo. The black alternate brings in a curved striping which is a nod back to the early Shark days, but not 100% similar. Same goes for the heritage. Lots of love for the current Seals / Sharks unis they sport, but I didn't want to go full on copycat with it so I played around with some unconventional striping. I wanted to go for a look that could've passed in the 70s with those colors. Enough said - hope you enjoy my rendition of the San Jose Sharks!

  3. Minnesota Wild (8 of 32)

Next up is Minnesota. There are a few main changes that I made here. If you followed my old series, I went with a similar approach by reducing the Wild color scheme to green, cream and white. This is a personal preference as I think it brings a modern, yet minimalist look to the brand. The current color scheme is just too Christmasy for my liking. I also darkened the green so those creams and whites would pop more. For the home and away, I kept the iconic sleeve striping and ditched the chest stripe. It's decent for Montreal, but when I saw both Minn and Fla do it, wasn't a fan. M logo now sits on the shoulders. Number font is just a plain block. The alt, is a cream color with the M taking center stage. Kept the same block font for a clean / classic look. Lastly, I got a little Wild (pun highly intended) with the heritage jersey. I wanted to go back to the true Wild roots to their expansion days. I brought back the funky looking font and played on the sharpness with the sleeve striping. Let me know what you think! C&C is always appreciated. Thanks for stopping by!

I've always been a fan of the shoulder yoke for the B's, but seeing it here without I gotta say it's a clean look. I wonder how the home would would look going back to a yellow spoked B like in the Orr days

Here ya go! I dropped the white around the logo as well - similar to the Providence Bruins. I almost feel by doing that, would need to do a single outline on the numbers to make it more cohesive.

  5. Boston Bruins (7 of 32)

Next up is an OG - The Boston Bruins. The B's have a classic look and haven't strayed far from that in their history. That said, I didn't want to get too wild and crazy so I focused more on the minor details and cleaning things up a bit. One of the first things I did was remove the shoulder yoke. I think this provides the look with a fresh feel. Home unis have a classic 3 stripe look. When I started to pull together the away set, I lost that heavy black that the shoulder yoke had in the past. So to combat this, I pulled in more black on the bottom of the uni and kept the black bottoms of the sleeves instead of going full matchy matchy. I also made the double outline numbers a thing across the home, away and alt sets. I feel it makes for better cohesion with the jersey crest. I would  go with the Bear logo as an alt, but I'm not going to recreate the wheel there. I absolutely love their current reverse retro, so I went the gold route with the classic logo instead. Lastly, for the heritage, brought in a dark brown with a different shade of gold. I dabbled making this a vintage cream instead of a white, but I like the contrast I get better with this look. Classic B. Single outline numbers. Classic stripes with a brown cuff. To bring a heavier brown to the set, I brought back their current shoulder striping and I think it actually blends well with the design here and kind of hits that mesh of eras that I look for when I make the heritage. Enough said - hopefully I kept that classic Bruins feel, but spruced things up a bit!

That Capitals heritage jersey feels a lot like the Islanders' second Reverse Retro. It's not bad, but it takes everything fun and unique the original had and disregards it. I don't dislike it, but the ugly font, angular striping, and waist wordmark made the original jersey unique, and are big parts of why people like the old Screagle look. I don't think scrapping those elements was the right move, but I understand why you did.

That said, the home/road jerseys for the Caps are very well done. The team looks really good in navy, and it translates perfectly to the road jersey. The 'W' logo is a wonderful shoulder patch, too.

Thanks for the feedback!  I went for a more "pretty" version / look, but fully agree the "ugliness" of the originals is truly what makes them original and likable. That said, going to challenge myself to see what I can do on some of the upcoming (including the Isles).

  7. Washington Capitals (6 of 32)

Back at it after a short hiatus with the Washington Capitals. Trust me when I say - I so badly wanted to bring them back to the retro color scheme and go full 90s rebrand, but I couldn't do it. The red, white and blue fits Washington so well so I stuck with it. Switched a few things up and made the Weagle the primary jersey crest. I think it's such a great logo and works well as a standalone.  I took the more simplistic W with stars and moved that to the shoulders as a patch. One major change was the emphasis on the blue. I liked the balance I got more here for the home set than I did with the red. Home blue, white away, red alt. Last bigger change was the font. I created a more modern block so to speak and gave it a speckled sublimated pattern. Lastly - I did bring back the retro colors for the heritage jersey. Different striping pattern with added stars on the arms only. Was too much adding them on the waist as well. I kept the number font, but added a gold outline. As always - thanks for dropping by and taking a look. Hope you enjoy my version of the Caps.

  8. Vancouver Canucks (5 of 32)

Going north of the border to Vancouver for the next one. I'm really happy with how this one turned out and looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks. It's a new era in Vancouver and  Johnny Canuck is in! Love the "C orca", but going a different route with the brand. I blended a bit of new and old with the jersey crest incorporating the Vancouver lettering. Again - wanted to play on the Johnny Canuck theme for the home, away and alt. I went with the darker shade of blue here for a heaviness that I think works very well with the light green. Beloved stick logo is still present as a shoulder patch. I've also kept the font as it's truly unique and works well with the set IMO. For the alt - instead of doing say a green, I went fully rogue, but kept the Johnny Canuck theme here with the skating logo as the primary jersey crest. I personally love this logo and I think would even look great on the home and away. I recolored the logo and the jersey to give it that retro Canucks vibe. Also really played on the lumberjack theme and made a plaid striping pattern. This was an idea I toyed with in my old redesign, but have updated the set. Lastly, for the heritage - I brought back the orca. As I like to do with the heritage, I blended styles of the past to create a unique look. I could've gone with a dark color for the jersey, but personally felt that white looked the cleanest and most aesthetically appealing. Enough of me explaining the set, let's hear what you think! Hopefully you enjoy my version of Vancouver!

  9. Tampa Bay Lightning (4 of 32)

Keeping the series in Florida for the time being with the Tampa Bay Lightning. I'm okay with the Lightning keeping things simple with their branding, but I liked their look much more when black was involved. It was such a unique scheme. That said - the Lightning are BACK IN BLACK! Black home, white away, and a blue alternate. Number font is an accented block to fit more with the sharp edges of a lightning bolt. Similar to what they used in the stadium series I believe, but modified just a little with no outline. I also opted for no shoulder patch with this team. I played around with a few options, but liked the cleanliness without. For the heritage - I got a little funky. Almost feels like the 90s turn ahead the clock vibes. But for this one, I wanted to pay homage to their roots with the retro blue. Also incorporated the bolt logo with Florida in the background. I think it works well outside a shoulder patch of old. Lastly, went with a drop shadow number font. Again - got a little 90s with this one, but happy how it turned out. Let me know what you think!

  10. Florida Panthers (3 of 32)

Next up is Florida. There are a few main things I wanted to do here - 1) bring back the jumping panther. They have the perfect modernized version just sitting waiting to be used. Much better imo than the panther head crest they use today. 2) I wanted a heavier emphasis on blue. I love the Panther's color scheme and wanted to really play on the blue element more. 3) I wanted a clean look. Not a fan of their current jersey striping and their 90s look was great, but sooooo much going on. I kept their number font across all formats as I think it's unique and fits the brand well. I also did not use any shoulder patches. Again, just looks much cleaner without. Red home, white away and blue alt. You'll notice that I dropped the shoulder yoke from the third blue jersey as I think it's a better design without. I also dabbled not using the offset shoulders in the home and away, but ultimately opted to keep it as it's a more cohesive look. Also of note - the away jersey originally had red as the predominant color, but I opted for the blue here as it was much cleaner and aesthetically appealing to the eye. Lastly, for the heritage jersey, I went full 90s. Went with diagonal sleeve striping and played on the sun rays found in the palm tree / stick shoulder logo (great logo imo). I kept both the modern jumping panther and number font. Again - with the heritage, I want to blend styles of past and present. Switched the number outline to red as they used to wear in the 90s. Lastly, went back to the 90s color scheme with the brighter shade of yellow for the stripes, but went with the classic gold on the panther. A whole lot going on with this one, but I think it works well for the design. Screams 90s and blend of eras, which is what I was going for. Hope you all enjoy my version of the Florida Panthers!

  11. Ottawa Senators (2 of 32)

Next up we have the Ottawa Senators. I like the move back to the retro logo that they went with in their most recent rebrand, but there are a few things that I would've done differently. First off, I changed the jersey crest. They have a beautiful logo, which I feel is more modern, that they could've easily reused here. While I think the Sens look great in black, I actually opted for the red home jersey, white away and then a black alt. Brought back the Peace Tower logo which sits on the shoulders. Brought in some sublimation in the gold stripes which I feel really ties the look together. For the heritage jersey - brought back the classic O look. Really didn't change much. Both patches are in French and then I only went with a single black outline for the numbers on the back. Enough said - here are The Ottawa Senators!

If you're not gonna go back to forum blue (and i can respect you preferring the black and silver) this is the best look for their current branding. You're completely correct that splitting the crown and letters makes the look markedly better. I like how you used the Burger King logo as well. It's a legitimately nice jersey

  13. Intro to Series

Hey everyone! Back at it again with another full league overhaul, but this time the NHL. Took a bit of a break after I wrapped up my NFL Series, but here we are. I've done a full overhaul of the NHL in the past, but it's been a good 7 years or so. I figured it was time for another. For this series - I will be going through all 32 NHL teams in no particular order. Each team will have 4 jerseys - home (dark), away (light), alternate and a heritage. The heritage jersey will be a blend of eras. Some may be very classic, some may be outlandish, but these jerseys will tie various elements of the team's past into one. Each of these concepts is simply what I'd like to see the team wear on ice. All designs are done in MS Paint. As always - I truly hope you enjoy my work and the series. C&C is always greatly appreciated!

Los Angeles Kings (1 of 32)

Starting off the series with the Los Angeles Kings. My first order of business was to drop the shield crest that they currently sport. It just doesn't do it for me. I personally feel those elements could be separated and that's exactly what I did here. The main jersey crest here features the iconic crown and I've moved the LA patch to the shoulders. This is one of the few designs where I actually started with the design instead of the color scheme. Now I know there are a bunch of folks that probably want to see the Kings return to purple and gold, but I'm not one of them. I love the simplicity of the black, white and silver. That said - I'm rolling with that scheme for the home, away and alt. I did keep the number font intact as it's super unique and fits well with the design. As I mentioned in the intro, the heritage jerseys might be a little funky in some cases and this is one. Went with the good ole' BK logo for the main crest. I also brought back some purple and gold as I recolored the logo itself. I moved the crown to the shoulders and recolored it to match. Striping pays homage to their 90s unis, but consists of black, purple and gold. If you've followed any of my previous threads, you'll know I'm a fan of sublimation. On the sleeves, we have the classic Kings script in a deep purple to contrast the lighter shade.  Anyway - here is the set - hope you enjoy!

  14. Week 1 Matchups

I first want to say thank you to everyone for all of the feedback and likes throughout my series here. I really had fun with all of these. There may be a few teams that I go back and revisit (Browns - done, Jaguars and maybe the Niners), but overall, I'm really happy with how this series turned out. Now that all teams are finished - I wanted to share what the Week 1 matchups would look like based on all of my designs. As always - thanks for stopping by and checking out my work! Enjoy!

These are really good, couple things I did notice, having gone through them all.

1: no logos (other than numbers) on Cleveland’s helmets, the logos just don’t work for Cleveland.

2: ONE PIECE HORN FOR THE RAMS. That broken horn was the worst thing they ever came up with.

3: The Chargers’ powder blue should be the primary, not the dark blue. I’d use that for the throwback only.

4: LOVE the Kelly green for the Eagles. They need to use those in real life.

Thanks so much for the feedback. Cleveland was actually one of the teams I went back and tried again. I wasn't feeling my first design that much. I went with something similar to more of what they wear today (which I think they hit the nail on the head with their most recent redesign. I actually don't really mind the two piece horn that much. It's sort of grown on me, but I wouldn't be opposed to them going back to the one piece. I honestly could go either way for the Chargers. Love both looks, but figured most would prefer the powder as it's so unique. And yes - totally agree on the Eagles. Would be a nice breath of fresh air. Glad you enjoyed my work!

  16. San Diego Chargers (32 of 32)

Yep - you read that right. WE'RE MOVING THE CHARGERS BACK TO SAN DIEGO!! San Diego is a beautiful city, has a thriving baseball team and ballpark and they deserve their football team back. Last team in the series. This was a fun one. I'll start by saying hands down the Chargers have THE BEST unis in the game. No questions asked. As I started this concept, I was struggling on how I could improve the look. I couldn't. So instead of re-creating the wheel, I took a stab at what most teams seem to be doing. Modernizing and minimalizing their looks. Couple things here - I made quite a few sets. I personally love the Chargers powder blue, but, I also really love the navy. That said, we have a navy look and we have a powder look. Personally, with the minimalistic vibe, I like the navy. I literally just could not pick between the two, so both are in my ideal set here haha. Main changes - I've dropped the outlines in most places - numbers, bolt logo. I've also opted to ditch the colored facemask for a white on white cleaner take. Like I said - hard to improve upon what the Chargers currently sport, so I went full on rebrand, and honestly, I really dig it. As always - C&C is appreciated and hope you enjoy.

  17. Los Angeles Rams (31 of 32)

Next up is the Los Angeles Rams. Safe to say, the Rams have such a strong brand and there were a few elements that I didn't want to stray from. First, the helmet horns. Horns are the only thing that belong on the Rams helmets. One of the best in the league. I actually stuck with the separated horn look here. For the most part, I dig the rebrand, minus the actual Ram logo - so weak. 3 helmet options. Primary is blue, gold alternate with an offset blue facemask and last is a blue and white throwback, but with the current royal blue color the team uses. I see a lot of people darken the shade of blue for the Rams, but their current scheme is so unique and looks great on the field. For the unis - home blue, white away, gold alt and whiteout fauxback alt. Ditched the gradient and number font. All unis feature the horns around the sleeves - another feature that shold be a staple for the Rams. For the home set, I switched things up a bit and went with offset color numbers and nameplates. Numbers are white and the name is gold. I started with the numbers gold, but really like the balance that the white brings. Added the Rams wordmark on the chest. I ditched the chest patch and the back neck patch the Rams currently use for a cleaner look. For the away, I kept the horns gold and the sleeves blue. Again - from a balance perspective, I like the added blue compared to the inversion that the Rams have today. Chest reads "Los Angeles" for the away. Gold alt is simply just gold and blue and have brought in the gold helmets here. Whiteout set is a fauxback of sorts, but simply just going blue and white. Let me know what you think!

  18. Baltimore Ravens (30 of 32)

30 of 32 here with Baltimore. I'll start by saying I love the Ravens color scheme and quite frankly love their current sets. However, they are definitely due for an upgrade. As with most of my concepts I've posted, I've tried to put a modern spin on things. 4 different helmet options here with the primary being black. No significant helmet changes. As for the unis - we also have 4 sets. When I think of the Ravens, I think dark deep colors. First, I've darkened the shade of purple. I also have limited this set to just black pants. I really think it works well, but wouldn't be opposed to adding in white. The pants feature similar striping elements that you see on the helmet and through the numbers, but these are offset with one being longer than the other for a stylistic touch. Number font is a block style with slashes through them similar to what you see on the helmet and pant striping. It almost felt sacrilegious to change the number font, but hey, that's what concepts are for. Sleeve striping throughout mimics wings of a raven. I also did want to incorporate the flag in some aspect. Currently, the Ravens use the Maryland flag with both coat of arms. Here, I simplified a bit and focused more on the Baltimore flag / the Calvert portion of the Maryland flag. I've sublimated the shapes onto the shoulders of the jersey. Home purple, white away, black alt and gold alt. The gold is a stretch and not my favorite, but wanted to share. I will also say instead of white - I did dabble with a gray. The gray versions turned out well, but in the end, opted for traditional white. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. I'd been stuck on Baltimore for a little while and kept falling back into looks that are very similar to what they wear now. I think these are a little outside the box, but are fun.

  19. Indianapolis Colts (29 of 32)

Winding down to the last few here. Next we have the Indianapolis Colts. Love what they've done from their number font perspective and the addition of their alternate logo incorporating Indiana. The Colts already have a solid brand - so not a lot of changes here, just a few cleanup items so to speak that I'd like to make. 3 helmet options - the primary being white with a white facemask. I think they should ditch the current gray as we don't see it anywhere else in the branding. Secondary is a blue helmet for a color rush option. And lastly is a white alternate helmet which uses the alt logo and brings back the old blue facemask. Home and away remain virtually unchanged, except for the addition of the chest crest - home "Colts" and away "Indianapolis". The alternate uni is a blend of eras taking the 3 stripe sleeves from the 50s, meshing it with the new C logo as seen on the helmets and adding the horseshoe logo to the left chest. Chest crest also reads "Indianapolis" paying homage to the city / state. Last is a full blue color rush. Usually I'm not a fan of color rush, but I think it works well here. As always - let me know what you think!

  20. Philadelphia Eagles (28 of 32)

Next up, we have my Philadelphia Eagles. I'm sure most of you have probably seen the horrendous wordmark they just released. My initial reaction was that I don't think it works well with the midnight green and it lacks character. But it does have a retro-modern vibe. Seems to be the way a lot of teams have been going lately. That said, I created a set around this wordmark with that modern-retro style. Now I will say - I truly love the midnight green color scheme, but wouldn't be upset if they changed course. First big change was the color scheme. I took the 90s Kelly Green and have lightened it a bit. Going with the retro vibe, I'm also bringing back the silver / gray into the fold. Next change was the wing on the helmet. The Eagles have one of the best helmets in the game hands down. That doesn't change, however, the detail on the wing has been simplified. Also new is the number font. Again - trying to keep that modern-retro feel, I took elements from the wordmark to create the number font. While the wordmark is italicized, I did not choose to go that route with the numbers. Just not a fan of italicized numbers on unis. Green home, white away and gray alt. All with gray pants, bringing that style back from the 80s and 90s. I am currently working on a city edition here, but running into some designers block. I just can't conjure anything that I'm truly happy with here. Maybe it's because it's my city / team, who knows. So suggestions are appreciated. Also went a little helmet happy, but I was having fun there. Anyway - hope you enjoy what I did with the birds!

  21. Green Bay Packers (27 of 32)

Next up we have Green Bay. Such an iconic brand with timeless unis. There's not a lot I wanted to change here, but rather just clean up - the main thing I've done is switched to a solid color collar. Home green, white away, color rush / all green alt, and lastly a nod to the Acme Packers. Not a whole lot to say here, so below is what I have for the Green Bay Packers.
