Gradient Australia looks great, cap and all, and the cap looks much better outline-less. Thanks for trying it out for me
No problem! I think the tweaks look great as well

Agreed, what about now?

Really like the red & peach combo for China. The calligraphic font looks good in this colorway; once again I'm just bummed the alt doesn't go with a similarly calligraphic styling.
Thanks! I actually kept the alt wordmark simple because I'm planning to give Japan's alt a Shodo style (if I find a suitable font).
19 hours ago, vtgco said:Australia looks good in both color schemes, though I do feel that my preference is with the traditional gold... Though now I'm curious about a lime-green-to-yellow gradient a la Devil Rays lol
It's a nice cap logo they use but the outline really weighs it down, especially on the lime green version. Could have the streaks or the stars in a different color if you want more than just white.
I think the gradient idea looks great! What about using it on the cap as well?

Let's continue the series with China!
I decided to keep their classy Old English wordmark for the main home and road jerseys, creating a contrast by using a flashy shade of orange, previously featured on their female away soccer kit. As for the alt design, I went for the "中国" script:

Great job on Australia. A few suggestions/requests:
- Since the primary green is so muted, maybe lighten up the road gray just a tad for better contrast with the green piping. I know it's a bit of a balancing act because you also used neon green.
- For the alt, how about putting the cap logo on the chest in place of the "Australia" script? It's too good not to put front and center and would avoid having three jerseys that all use the same wordmark.
Keep up the awesome work!

I would suggest going with gold outlined with dark green for the headspoon on the home and road.Thank you both for the feedback! Here's the revised Aussie set:

Here's how the home jersey would look:

Let's start with Pool B! (Spoiler: it's the group with the boldest designs). Therefore, it's time for Australia.
I found an old-ish (late 90's to early 00's?) picture of the Aussies celebrating in which they seem to be wearing either vests or jerseys with contrasting sleeves. So I wanted to give them a more unique look, going for an all-sleeveless set with placket piping. I have also changed their traditional atheltic gold for lime, which is heavily used on their socials:

You nailed it! I think the brown matches perfectly the Seattle's flag teal-ish blue, specially with that off-white home uni. Awesome job
Great work with the wordmarks, specially with the cap/alt logo!

The split-styled "Panama" alt is incredible! Probably my favorite design of any team so far.
I'm glad you like it!

Italy is gorgeous, and I think that updated script is a nice improvement. I think you could get the cap logo to look like an "I," if you keep some of the rightward stroke that joins with the "t" in the new script.
Netherlands look great in those colors, though maybe red/white/blue flag piping (like the soccer NT does) would be good to avoid the negative connotations of the Prince's Flag while still maintaining orange as the primary color. Certainly ditching the black is a nice move, and I like that we have a powder blue away team! (Would there be powder blue pants too?)
Also kinda miss the aesthetic of the little crown on the N but either way it's fine.
Panama looks excellent, though the navy + red/white/red striping makes the away feel a bit too US to me. I'd stick with red shoulders on it too and/or switch the navy to royal blue.
Also, I would consider adding an accent mark on the final "a".
The alternate is gorgeous; no notes there!
Thanks once again, mate
I'll be working on Italy's set soon! Let's see how it turns out.
I'm aware of the flag's negative connotations, but since those colours have been used for other sport teams, I went for it. I'd personally rather go for black/orange, in other to avoid yet another blue+red team. If you want, I could give it a shot! As for the crown, I think it adds some distinctive symbolism, but the wordmark without it looks more professional, imho. Maybe I could keep it as sleeve patch and cap logo.
I went for navy sleeves on the road jersey because I think a cold colour matches better the grey base, but I agree with you about the combination looking a bit too USA-ish.
I kept the navy blue wordmark with red outline, like on the home, adding the front number as well:
Also, thanks for your feedback on Panama's alt! I'm glad you guys like a bolder design.

What a fun idea! I love the colour scheme for the Parrots The sleeve patch looks amazing.
I can't wait to see the other teams!

Let's wrap up Group A with Panama!
This time I went for a retro look, inspired by the uniform used during the 27th World Baseball Championship, which took place in Korea in 1982. I think their script matches the stlye perfectly:
For the alternate jersey I tried something different, creating a design inspired by the national flag:
I kept the caps simple, trying to match the set style:

It's Sunday, which means... Another team! Time for the Netherlands.
The first thing I changed was the colour scheme, changing the black for powder blue, inspired by the Prince's Flag, and following the style sometimes used by the Soccer National Team. I have also brought back the previous version of their wordmark, which was arched and in Dutch, but dropping the crown. Finally, I have make a new "NL" monogram from scratch, using it as cap logo and sleeve patch:

This is my personal opinion, but I think it will always get confused with a J no matter what, unless you get rid of the tail on the top left (especially when the letter is presented by itself).
Thanks for sharing your thoughts I'll be working on tweaking and improving Italy's wordmark in the following days.

I tried to get an "I" for the caps and the alt jersey. Does this work?

Getting some 2000s Brewers vibes from the Italy hats. I think the I could get confused for a J though. You may want to make some tweaks to that. Wouldn't mind seeing the tricolor used on the home and away striping too.
I agree with you. Italy's "I" can be a little bit confusing. I tried to fix it by making the bottom end similar to the top:
Does it look better? The "I" alone would have the same tail on the bottom right than on the top left.

The update to Chinese Taipei is definitely an improvement, I like the dual-colored piping and the addition of the flower onto the sleeve patch, as well as the alternate.
Although I prefer Cuba’s current logos, I don’t mind this more throwback-oriented approach. The sleeve patch in particular is pretty nice.
The addition of gold is a creative way to distinguish Italy from some of the other blue teams, and I love the flag-colored striping on the alternate.
As a general note, I don’t think you need to have any of the logos/wordmarks obscured by the sleeve, as the Nike press release this template derives from doesn’t appear to cover any of the logos up in the photos.
Even though you beat me to the punch a little bit with this series (), I’m looking forward to following the rest of it!
Thank you for your feedback!
Besides Taiwan and Cuba, no other team will get the wordmark/logo partially covered by the sleeves. I think the "Chinese Taipei" could be an exception, give its size and not being arched, while Cuba's logo would be the same case than the Cubs', being covered just a little bit.

Time for Italy!
Italy is all about fashion and style. And while I think their current wordmark follows that approach, I think their overall look lacks of something to fully get there. That's why I decided to use gold as accent colour.
The main home and road jerseys feature the whole wordmark and front numbers with a golden dropshadow, featuring gold sleeve and collar piping. For the sleeve patch I decided to use the famous Scudetto, which is granted in soccer to the club that wins the Serie A (Italian First Division):
For the alternate design I wanted to take a soccer-ish approach, using only the "I" from the wordmark, and placing the Scudetto under Nike's swoosh. The jersey also features the iconic Tricolore details often used by the soccer National Team:
The home cap uses a white front panel, while the road and alt variant is mainly blue with a golden bill:

Love what you did with Cuba. The one thing I would say is I think the red cap would actually go better with the red uniform and the blue with red bill would go better with the home and away. Obviously super minute details but just personal preference
Thanks, mate! I used a red cap for Cuba's main set because I imagined it with red undershirts and socks, so it would match the whole set, while the blue cap would create a contrast with the red jersey. However, I think the swapped version would be a nice option as well!
I thought about using a white C for the blue cap, for visibility's sake, but I think the red one matches better the uniform.

I like that Taiwanese alternate quite a bit, though I'd like to see it with the front number of the original design. I also think the flower shape of the Chinese Taipei Olympic logo is quite nice, so I would be curious to see it here instead of the plain circle. The sun-only cap is really nice, though!
The primary set is solid, though a bolder (and maybe more stylized) font like in the inspiration would probably be a lot nicer.
The Cuba primary set is gorgeous! And the alt just needs the script and front number stylings to be swapped.
I just hope Colombia's cap is changed a lot because right now your Cuba cap treads on that styling a lot.
Thanks a lot for your feedback and suggestions!
I think the font suggested perfectly fits the main set for Taiwan. So does the olympic logo, which I've tweaked by making the sun larger:
Here's Cuba's alt with the logo and number colours swapped:
Regarding Colombia's cap, I'll be drifting away from blue as main colour for them, so I believe their cap will be different enough

Let's continue the series with Cuba:
The main road and home designs are a combination of eras. The cap and jersey logo is inspired by the uniform used by the national team in 1969, while the pinstripes + piping style and the sleeve patch are based on a Liga Nacional club named "Cuba", which was seeking to draw fans from the whole country to a league born in response to the Cuban League's agreement with the MLB, which was saw at the time as a cede to American interests.
While the home uni features blue pinstripes, I decided to go for a more sublte approach for the road one, while keeping the red piping on both:
For the alt design I wanted to keep it simple, using red as base colour and a sleeve and collar piping based on the national flag:
As for the caps, I've desisgned one, mainly red, for the the main set, and a second one in blue with a red bill for the alternate jersey:

I think that's more just the sleeves laying over the front of the shirt since the template has the jersey laying flat. Would just fill the entire front of the shirt like the design he had linked
Exactly! These template can be a little be tricky sometimes, with the sleeves covering some of the logos/wordmarks.

I haven't make any cap, but, since I saved all the logos I've used, I can make them now! Here's an idea for Chinese Taipei:

Without further ado, let's start with Chinese Taipei!
The main home and road designs are based on the uniform used by the Kano Baseball Team in 1951, featuring a half-and-half red and blue placket and sleeve piping. The wordmark reads "湾台" (Táiwān):
On the other hand, the alternate jersey was inspired by the 1992 Olympics design, when the team won the silver medal, using the 1983 White Sox style:
C&C is more than welcome!

We’re just one month away from the 2023 World Baseball Classic! After 6 years without the main international baseball event, it’s time to give the 20 teams a fresh new look.
It’s not a secret that a lot of the designs used by baseball national teams are, at least, questionable: from every team wearing the same base design in past editions, to brands pushing the boundaries a bit too far with funky ideas. Therefore, I’ve tried to imagine what would Nike do if they were responsible for designing the WBC ’23 jerseys.
I’ll be using @AusGiant template adapted to MS Paint, creating also some retro and sleeveless variants.
New designs will be posted every Wednesday and Sunday, following an alphabetical order by groups:
POOL A
POOL B
POOL C
POOL D
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did making the designs!

This is such a great concept for a series! Despite sharing the same template and base style, each team is getting an unique design.
My fav one so far is the A's with the two elephants and the Cards with that obscure monogram
All in all, great research to find fitting combinations and logos for each team! I can't wait to see more.

I love how you've been able to portray what made these parks iconic.
My favourite so far, hands down, is the Astros' Astrodome, specially with the numbers and sleeve patch. Top notch work!
As for Forbes Field, the combination of inspirations blends perfectly What about adding a squared sleeve patch based on the Longines clock?

I feel the recent uniform tweaks and identity changes have been nice but far from perfect. This is a nice example of it, and how the teams have had some missed opportunities.
I think the star on the wordmarks is such a simple change with a huge impact, specially in a contrasting colour The updated City Edition uni looks amazing, and the script perfect fits the theme.
Great job!
