  1. If you can add a fourth line to the left “C” and have top and bottom come to points, I think that would be very sharp and original.  The lines would probably have to be thinned out a bit, but might give it an art-deco look.  The art-deco look could be a nod to the Guardians concept as the Hope Memorial Bridge is referred to as an Art Deco Truss bridge.

Then perhaps a spider w/ baseball as body with the same general line design (sharp angles coming to points) as a secondary logo.

  2. I like your original the best of them all.  I get what everyone was getting at with their suggestions, but in the end it ended up just being a re-colored version of their 80’s logo.  You’re going for an update/refresh/rebrand, and that needs to be more than just a re-color.

The ramparts and more focus on the N and the more subtle stick/puck works for an update of a classic.  And as for an igloo not being italicized, it’s just a logo, not a photorealistic representation of what an igloo is.

It's not silly to, in your words, "homogenize navy and silver". The worse of the set of colors the Dallas Cowboys wear are royal blue & silver-green. However, it is frustrating that the Cowboys will not even consider a uniform design change, so long as Jerry Jones owns the team. The uniform colors should match, because they do for the other 31 NFL teams. While it's true that the Cowboys are consistently near the top in sports merchandise sales, it all just goes back to the idea that Cowboys fans will buy whatever is put out there for sale. I guarantee you that most fans don't even realize the disconnect between the Cowboys' white jersey with royal blue lettering, numerals and stripes, and the team's navy blue jersey with silver trim. Just because it's the uniform that the Cowboys have worn for several decades now doesn't mean it looks good in any way, shape or form. It's hideous to look at. It very well might just be the single WORST uniform design in sports.

It’s a top five uniform set in all of football.  Thinking they have to match just because all other teams do is just out there.

And do you honestly think fans don’t realize there’s different colors used between the white jersey set and the blue jersey set?  I think you’re way off base there, and most are more than okay with it - they’d be pretty upset if changed just because some people think they have to be only 2 colors.

Um, NO. The Dallas Cowboys' uniform quirks are the WORST in sports. Every other sports team (not just NFL) knows that your uniform colors NEED to match. Also, the Cowboys' colors are navy blue & silver. Just look at the helmet. It's not just my opinion. Take it from Paul Lukas of Uni-Watch:

I didn’t say it was just your opinion.  I think changing what the Cowboys have worn for 50+ years just to homogenize Navy and Silver is silly.  Especially considering those are the worse of the set of colors they wear.

And why do the uniform colors have to match? The Cowboys are consistently near the top in sports merchandise, let alone just NFL, so obviously it’s not hurting them in any way, shape, or form.

The Pirates wouldn't like another yellow and black team, but sharing colors isn't unheard of in MLB and the emphasis on yellow over black should help assuage those concerns.

Yes, but at the time, the Pirates were heavy on the yellow and pinstripes.  Perhaps a darker gold or even orangish shade would work to differentiate.

Again, really nice concept and the logo/design definitely fits in.
