  1. Down to our last ten teams! --- North Division UniĆ³n Deportivo Gresham Gresham, Oregon Championships: 1 Going into last week, I had zero idea what to do for Gresham even after all my Internet research. On Tuesday, I had to stall some time out there and ended up driving past a sculpture that instantly built the team's identity DETAILS:
  2. The final team on the Oregon Coast! South Division Coos SC Coos Bay, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS:
  3. There sure is a Minnesota one! It was posted on the forums back in 2015 but the images are long gone; here it is on Behance!
  4. Yay!!! Another state soccer league! Some good stuff so far; you've got some fun color schemes in here! My first critique is about your crest sizes. The Mannschaft crest is a good size (though it should be vertically centered with the Adidas logo), but the Athens crest is way too big, Going forward, just be sure to keep those crest sizes relatively consistent and centered with the manufacturer logo. My second critique concerns the divisions. I think 10 divisions is a little excessive for a 40-team league, so maybe 4 divisions of 10 teams or 5 divisions of 8 teams would make more sense. I think your original Georgia series happened during my several-year absence from the forums, so a lot of this is new to me (because most of the original images are gone ).Excited to see the rest!
  5. North Division Club Sportif des Dalles The Dalles, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS:
  6. You do have a point there! --- Here's a team from the Coast just in time for a very warm weekend in Oregon! Central Division Lincoln City Lincoln City, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS: Here's the YouTube mini-documentary that I reference in the clash kit explainer:
  7. East Division Old Mill SC Bend, Oregon Championships: 1 DETAILS:
  8. I LOVE these concepts, and there are so many clever designs in there (Louisiana is such a beauty) Somehow I'm not sold on the New Mexico cap, though; the monogram just looks a little clunky to me . May I suggest just going with the Zia symbol on the cap instead of the monogram? If you really wanted to, you can also try tweaking the jersey colors to match New Mexico's turquoise license plates Well done, my friend!
  9. Before we dive into this next team, it's important to acknowledge Oregon's history of racist exclusionary laws, sundown towns, and racial violence that actively discouraged African-American settlement until well into the mid-twentieth century. North Division Vanport AFC Portland, Oregon Championships: 2 DETAILS:
  10. Eventually, we'll have the whole continental US finished That would be very exciting to see! Looking forward to those Georgia concepts, especially since most of the pics in your original thread don't link anymore --- Life and other projects got a little busy last week, but I finally have the next team for y'all! Central Division Tualatin Tigers Tualatin/Tigard, Oregon Championships: 1 The Tigers are a geographic anomaly in the Central Division because McMinnville and Newberg (which are both southwest of Tualatin) really wanted to remain division rivals. DETAILS:
  11. Oh definitely! Put in my California leagues and that new Washington state league, then we're set! --- Staying in the East Division because somebody died of dysentery East Division Baker Blues Baker City, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS: --- I think it's super cool that my California and Oregon soccer leagues have inspired a number of leagues for other states lately, and I'd like to give a shoutout to @RevNet's Alabama Soccer League and @jackkmart's Washington League across the Columbia River. Some excellent stuff in both of those leagues, and it would be cool to see a larger American soccer landscape dominated by more state leagues
  12. My goodness, these concepts are INCREDIBLE! These team/kit aesthetics are really putting up a fight across the Columbia These first four teams are so crisp, and Walla Walla (even if the W monogram seems a liiiittle phallic, in my opinion) & Ballard are my favorites so far. I'm looking forward to the rest of the teams as well as the design explanations for these! I probably know as much about Washington state as you do, but you should definitely do a Bavarian-style team for Leavenworth
  13. I'm up for it if @TheGiantsFan is. Count me in! Don't forget my California leagues as well I don't know how to do it myself, but I'm sure someone could whip up Football Manager or something to get this to happen. --- I gotta say, there's a lotta fun color schemes and unique logos on here! My favorites have been Easternmost, Enterprise, Florence United, and Lamar County.
  14. I could definitely see that! I also got NHL Reverse Retro vibes out of the monogram --- Somehow, almost half of Oregon is actually a vast, empty desert! East Division High Desert Wanderers Burns/John Day, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS:
  15. Judging how the original Oregon Cavemen dressed like this and still make appearances in Grants Pass parades today, that will no doubt be a common sight at these games I appreciate it so much!!! Thank you --- From prehistoric to extraterrestrial... (Some would say both of those coexisted ) Northwest Division McMinnville Town McMinnville, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS:
  16. You're totally right! Just updated the crest explainer graphic to include the high school's mascot
  17. The pinecone-to-plaid transition was definitely quite difficult to make, but I just thought I would put a spin on the regular plaid kit! I do admit that the ODOT green is a little drab, but it is the exact shade of green the painters use on the bridges Glad you liked Springfield! --- Starting off Page 5 of the series with a fun one from southern Oregon! South Division Cavemen SC Grants Pass, Oregon Championships: 1 DETAILS:
  18. My hometown USL Championship team unveiled a new third kit today: In my opinion, the hype graphics with the players posing with military vehicles and stuff kinda left me underwhelmed with the final kit design. While the colors are inspired by the US Army colors from the old Fort Ord base, there's no official explanation for the actual patterns on the kit (Morse code, Humvee tires?). I tried to ask them on Twitter for some clarifying questions on the pattern, but I haven't heard back yet Many people online have also compared this kit to New Mexico United (I am excited about this Legacy Collection they're starting out, though; I'm lowkey hoping they might reach out to me )
  19. Northwest Division Forest Grove SC Forest Grove, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS:
  20. I was struggling with the color scheme until I had that very same thought: Gotta give this team a dangerous and radioactive color scheme. That's when Springfield's volt yellow was born! I reserve the NOB for a notable person from each location but at your request, here's a version with a notable person from fictional Springfield! --- After a busy stretch at work and some artist's block, I finally have the next team for y'all! Northwest Division St. Johns SC Portland, Oregon Championships: 1 Quite possibly the last real-life team I include in the Oregon League, here's a heavily-rebranded incarnation of the NPSL's St. Johns FC (who used to have literal marijuana leaves on their crest) DETAILS: A shoutout goes to @vtgco whose St. Johns-inspired Portland Timbers home kit concept served as a springboard for this team's identity
  21. Thanks so much, my friend! I appreciate it! --- The inevitable Simpsons reference! Central Division Springfield Isotopes SC Springfield, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS: Also, a shoutout to @Green27 for the tidbit about the Springfield Creamery and the Grateful Dead!
  22. Glad you liked Pendleton and Roseburg! To improve the NOB legibility on the home kit, I went ahead and added a brown outline as well as removed part of the blanket pattern on the back: Thanks for the helpful feedback! --- North Division Sunnyside Sunbreaks Happy Valley, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS:
  23. Thank you very much! --- Starting off the second half of the Oregon League with Roseburg! South Division United Roseburg SC Roseburg, Oregon Championships: 0 This crest was repurposed from a concept I pitched for a real-life redesign of Deportivo Rose City in Portland that unfortunately got scrapped DETAILS:
  24. The orange shorts were definitely a last-minute change from the original brown shorts, and you're totally right that it looks better with brown! EDIT 3/15/23: At the suggestion of @mcrosby on Twitter, the crest has been redrawn so that the soccer ball is underneath only the horse's front feet. The kits have been updated accordingly!
  25. East Division Pendleton Cowboys Pendleton, Oregon Championships: 0 DETAILS: --- Now that we're halfway through the Oregon League, here are how the league's crests look all together: Still got plenty of teams and cool ideas left, and I'm still open for any suggestions that anyone may have for the remaining 25 teams
