  1. Yep, the natural grass made the field/logos look pretty good. Hate the SB fields with that field turf crap, the paint looks so washed out so quickly (Seahawks/Broncos, Ravens/49ers). What a novel concept....playing football outside on natural grass!! Loved the big shield, and the SB logos look good too. Loved the natural sunlight coming into the stadium too. Only issue for me was the endzones. Hmmmm, interesting question above about why GB went from yellow to green endzones.
  2. Agree with all of this. I was rooting for GB so damn hard, just because I wanted to see some color in the endzones, LOL. Yes, I'm at that point in my NFL viewing. If my Eagles can't get to the SB, then I'll root for the best colors, haha.
  3. When it comes down to it, when watching the game the field isn't as important, its just something nice to look at. The real disappointment from this field is knowing what it could be, and the potential that it has. All the years of great fields should have set a standard for what a Super Bowl field should look like, and now it seems that the NFL just doesn't care anymore. They just want to get the logos on the field and call it a day. No attention to detail, no taking the extra steps to make the field look as great as it could. Just get it done and go home. Of every Super Bowl field I'd say this one ranks either 48th or 49th. That's pretty bad considering that this field is competing for last place with last years field. They did a better job in 1967 when they could hardly afford the paint. Agreed. The last two years have just been such laziness. Could have had Denver in orange last year, Seattle in gray. This year could have had NE in red, outlined in blue. Some green can be added to Seattle. Just a shame really.
  4. Something, ANYTHING, has to be painted into that corner of the NE end zone. Seattle's end zone, just lovely. As wonderful and exiting as the one on your home field. Zzzzzz....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
  5. Ughhhhhhhhhh...........awful. NFL, you have a couple of days left to correct this mess! LOL The only 'good' thing - IMO - is the big NFL shield.
  6. A big shield, from 45 to 45, is great. I think last years SB field seemed to use the mini-shield that was already on the Giants field. Pathetic.
  7. Oops sorry I didn't see this thread. As I bumped the old jc thread from last year. BOOOOOOOOOO!!!! LOL. These endzones stink. Damn all these damn blue teams. Rooting for a NE/GB game. Maybe the NE wordmark can be outlined in red?? Yeah, right. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO blue teams!!!!
  8. Can you clarify what you mean? Either way if your talking about current Super Bowl endzones, I'm making fields with the current Super Bowl endzones and the primary logo at midfield for each team. Those fields won't be for this site at all, just for the simulation I have been working on. But all of the endzones will have to be made at some point. Sorry for not being more specific. Thank you for everything you've posted so far. I was secretly hoping for something like a mismash of odd matchups for the endzones? Like an Eagles vs. Texans, Bengals vs. Lions? Or different colors for teams, like a black Steelers, a burgandy Redskins, a yellow Packers...........
  9. More endzones, more endzones!!! Please!! LOL
  10. Ahhhh man, that TB Orange one is awesome!!
  11. Looks good! The field 'pops'. Before Jax switched up to pretty much all black, I kinda always wanted to see a teal endzone for them.
  12. Looks good! But the Redskins have always had a yellow endzone, due to the 'REDSKINS' word mark being in burgundy and the outlining in yellow. I'm sure you know that, LOL. But I like the burgundy, I like change, i.e., a Steelers endzone being black, a Packers one being yellow.
  13. Uggggggghhh, Seahawks/Broncos, horrible field, horrible game. I'm glad Seattle won though. And the azzkicking made it even better. The craptastic field reminded me of a home Giants game. Both endzones were blue, a small NFL shield at midfield, not much color, no helmets anywhere, just a horrible field that was like pitt posted.............laziness in full display. Yes, the weather may have had something to do with it, but this is the billion dollar NFL, not the fricking CFL! You want a game in the cold, outside, in NY, on fieldturf, then prepare accordingly!! Effing azzholes. And of course Denver's endzone should have been Orange!!! WTF??!! Who actually makes the decisions on what colors get in there, what wordmarks get in there, what outlines?? The above posted Orange endzone and Gray endzone would have been awesome.
  14. The past couple of SB logos at the 25........ewww. Just ugghhhhh. Awful awful awful. Was hoping/praying for a gold endzone for SF.
  15. Thanks guys. I'm dumb, so I need to ask, what would be damaged if the field for the SB in Dallas was new? Were they using or not using the Cowboys field??
  16. Yep, that Pitt/GB SB was a slight disaster in terms of the field, IMO. Like someone else said, the logos, the endzone colors, the endzone scripts, all looked wet and washed out by the middle of the second quarter. Ugghhh. Lazy. Looked as if they were still dropping paint down on the field on game day. Just as bad was the Seattle/Denver SB.
  17. I too was surprised at the Saints having a black endzone. But the gold was a great surprise and looked outstanding.
  18. Two very good fields. Love love love the Conference logos in these endzones.
  19. That Falcons endzone surprised me too. Just seemed not them, at all. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, Titans/Rams, love both endzones, great colors! Only problem with that game was that it was on that astro turf crap. LOL
  20. Some good looking fields, logos, and endzones. Way better than the crap that has been in the past few SB's.
  21. Great endzones, great colors. For some reason I just love the black outlining of the 'Dolphins' script. Would kinda like to see Wash make the SB just to see a maroon endzone. It wouldn't be maroon in those days, though. (Probably would be today, but we we'll probably never know lol)Yeah, that's what I meant, should have been more clear. In that, I think in today's world, if Wash made the SB, their endzones would be maroon. I realize that in the past they would be yellow because of the contrasting maroon helmets. But since the helmets are not in the zones any more, I just would like to see a maroon endzone paint scheme. One can dream. LOL
  22. Great endzones, great colors. For some reason I just love the black outlining of the 'Dolphins' script. Would kinda like to see Wash make the SB just to see a maroon endzone.
