  1. Let's all be clear - the "one helmet rule" was created by the NFL to avoid liability, full stop
  2. But don't the currently leaked throwbacks seem consistent enough with those teams' current helmets? (Niners and Browns I believe)
  3. I'll take it a step further and say anyone that's currently utilizing a light blue jersey should make it the main road jerseys. I'm just not a fan of road grays in baseball, I think they're the most boring in all of sports (sacrilegious, I know)
  4. Honestly if they would do white pants instead of monochrome its overall really not a bad look. My only other gripe is ATL when you can easily fit ATLANTA and have it look more balanced
  5. The Avalanche A logo was always weird to me partially because I never understood "letter logos" emphasizing the team name over the city name. This leads into my unpopular opinion that I hate it when teams do this. In the big 4 they are: - Avalanche - Ducks - Canadiens - Canucks - Angels - Athletics - Bengals - Rockets and Pacers (these ones are unique because the city name is actually there in the full logo)
  6. I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but I think Milwaukee botched the return to the glove logo. The decisions made make it look less like an "m and b that also looks like a glove" and more just like a cartoon glove.
  7. Yeah. I do want them to make Wizards work though because, as you said, it's the only non-cut and paste "nation's capital" theme (other than...ya know)
  8. I think the Washington Wizards need a rebrand. Not a new name, but stray away from the Bullets-inspired identity and an evolution of what they had before. I'm sorry but the current logos and color scheme are just so boring.
  9. Using the Flyers as an example, I'd rather see a playoff game where the crowd all has the free orange t-shirts on, showing unity with what the team is wearing, rather than wearing a different color
  10. I think that Washington Wizards is a much better sounding name than Washington Bullets, and the closest thing they had to an interesting identity was in their blue and gold color scheme. I live in DC and they're by far the least followed of the 4 major sports teams. I know die hard Nats, Caps, and Skins fans. I don't even think I've met a moderate Wizards fan. Part of me thinks their boring as hell brand has at least something to do with it.
  11. Yep! That was me: Posted Thursday at 09:49 AM I have a theory about the LA Wildcats. Why is their look so "fiery" and why is their name so bland (especially for a city like LA)? My thought is, early on in their design they were called the Wildfires, until they realized the sensitivities a little late and made an easy fix. Complete speculation though
  12. With all respect to those who love it i just think its very busy. I think its cool what they were trying to do but from certain angles its a lot
  13. Use white instead of grey and I think that would look great on a helmet

  15. This is essentially what being an Eagles fan is like lol. Theres a part of the fanbase that would like black full time. Hopefully just a vocal minority
  16. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion (which would fit) but I've never believed that a team's look should rest solely on success/winning a championship in that jersey. If you can make improvements, do it
  17. per The Atlantic: https://theathletic.com/1347540/2019/11/04/with-london-ready-for-an-nfl-team-the-chargers-have-been-discussed-as-a-possible-option/ Let the speculation begin!
  18. So? The best college team of all time would lose to the worst NFL team of all time. doesn't mean college football isn't great and have a loyal fanbase. Why is it a debate for you?
  19. Even as a fan for nearly 30 years, I can't get use to them. Still can't help but cringe especially at the 2's and 5's.
  20. There is a time and a place for geo-specific team nicknames. But on the other hand I also do like the fact that there's a team called the Toronto Raptors
  21. These really grew on me and i hope they stay in some capacity
  22. Actually, I think this site's April Fools joke from a while back would make the perfect blending of Phillies eras:
  23. I'd go as far as to say the Bears have one of the most boring identities in professional sports. Both logos are bland as are the colors. And their uniforms are completely uninteresting. Are they really iconic though? I'd argue one Super Bowl does not an iconic identity make. They can easily pull some of the magic the Lions are doing right now and call back to the past while embracing the future.
