  1. It makes zero sense to me that the bullhorn sleeve stripes are on the white road uniforms, but not the blue home uniforms.

But then for some reason they are also on the red alternate uniforms? The ones that also have bullhorns on the helmet, making the sleeve stripes completely redundant...

    Whyyyyyy?

  2. I think people are jumping to conclusions that are too extreme from this Texans stuff.

My takeaway is that the traditional and classic uniform will be very similar to their current navy homes. Probably they change the sleeve striping a bit to match what we saw in the new whites, which are the traditional but modernized uniforms (I guess the modernization is the number color and the Houston wordmark?).

The Bold Bull uniforms are maybe all red? Certainly looks red here:

And then the H-Town Tough uniforms are all navy, maybe with special numbers?

They certainly aren't leaning on light blue in here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C5yVI-TOS2D/?hl=en&img_index=1

This might not be as radical as people here are worried about.

Would the Texans even be allowed to use light blue on an alternate? Isn't the rule that alternate colors have to be present on the primary home or road, or be a historical color? And the league has been very clear that the Oilers are NOT part of the Texans' history. So unless they sneak a bit of light blue onto the home jersey, I don't think we'll see a red and light blue alt, as good as those colors would look.

Nike would probably LOVE to kill 2 birds with one stone here by making the swoosh light blue on the jerseys so it stands out more and also qualifies the Texans to do this. Same way the Colts made the swoosh black (or anthracite or whatever dumb :censored: they called it).

  4. Quote

"Understanding our surroundings from a geographic standpoint, there will be nods to that and I think people be really excited about it."

Could be as simple as Nike putting the Mile High City elevation inside the collar or something like that. He just said "nods." I don't think this means guaranteed mountains on the sleeves and/or the Colorado state flag on the uniform.

So the leaked info may have actually been correct then. White helmet and mountains on sleeves...yuck

That "leaked" info came from a guy who also "leaked" that the Broncos were signing Tom Brady lol. It was completely made up. And honestly it's not hard at all to guess that the Broncos would incorporate some local stuff into new uniforms. Nike always does.

    HUH?

Aside form the Cyberhorse and current colors sticking around, this really gives no insight into what they're doing.

I might be reading too much into the all blue stuff at the beginning of the video.

  7. These badly need to be saved by pants striping that we  still can't really see, because if all that they did was alter the striping and font and change the numbers from red to navy, that is a clear downgrade.

I'm gonna go off on a tangent here that will make me seem like a conspiracy theorist, but what if the NFL/Nike's prerogative is to design bad/mediocre uniforms on purpose so that they can turn around, pull them 5 years later, and milk more money from fans with a new, more popular set?

I don't think it's an intentional strategy. I just think it's as simple as everyone at Nike knowing that it's more profitable to keep stuff fresh and that there are really no negative consequences for producing a bad uniform other than some fans complaining. So I think "timelessness" is just not something any Nike designer thinks about when designing. They are free to take wild stabs because even if they end up being complete garbage like BROWNS on the pants or the Jaguars' two-toned helmet or the Buccaneers' alarm clock numbers, the worst thing that happens is they change the design in 5 years and fans celebrate the change.

  9. Guys, that Brady2024 guy is in another thread on the Broncos forums claiming that Tom Brady is going to be the team's QB next season: https://forums.denverbroncos.com/forum/broncos-football/broncos-football-aa/8478541-so-what-s-next-at-qb/page68#post8485073

This is a pathological liar. Paul Lukas got duped hard here. This is all bogus.

Let's not embarrass ourselves by discussing these "rumors" (that is far too kind of a word) like they are anything more than some dumb fantasy.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but the user name Brady2024 is setting off alarms for me. This feels very similar to someone who posted fake Broncos (and maybe other teams) uniform rumors on Reddit a few years ago. Anyone remember this? Did my dumb brain just remember this wrong?

  11. Very silly to spend even a second discussing rumors posted by anonymous Reddit or Twitter sources. It's 99% likely to be made up, as we have seen time and time again. That account that says the Titans are getting new stuff literally goes on to say in a subsequent tweet that they are only 50% sure the Titans are changing lol. Either you have information or you don't.

We really need to stop falling for this stupid sh-t.
