Wow. This is Crew-level stupid. It looks like something from the concepts area of these boards, but definitely not one of the good concepts.

Impact Montreal?

And another reason the Newsbot should be discontinued...
You're suggesting that the owner of the site discontinue the bot that posts his own content to his own message boards?

Contrasting nameplates need to go away and never, ever, ever, ever come back. Otherwise, I really like that look.

Montreal teams just can't get enough of bad takes on bad 70s styles, eh?

Attending Game 7 of the 2011 World Series.

Watching your team win a championship in-person is an incredible experience. If you ever have the chance, buy the tickets.
We had an older thread about this at some point, I swear. But, no matter; since someone unearthed this, I'll add to the above.
No, I wasn't at that game, but I did watch it on TV from my house in Minneapolis. It was fantastic to watch the Cards win the Series, of course.
The very next day, I got on a plane to Ft. Lauderdale. That night, NSC Minnesota (now known as Minnesota United in MLS) was playing in the second leg of the NASL final against the Strikers. The Stars took a 3-1 first-leg lead into the game and won the Soccer Bowl after a scoreless draw in the pouring rain. After the game, the players invited those of us who'd made the trip to join them at a bar to celebrate. Let me tell ya: beer tastes even better when drinking it from a championship trophy.

There's a floorball team named the Fort Worth Panthers; maybe they have the trademark?

Again, another logo ruined by the forced inclusion of a stick. They could also drop the wordmark from the jerseys and the shield/dog by itself would look great.

Anyone think that the grey jersey isn't dark enough?
It's not remotely dark enough.

Are you using Chrome? That's not a board issue.

Minus the stick, it'd be much more decent.

PSG, ManUre, Leipzig, and Basaksehir? That's a group filled with terrible.

I'm rolling my eyes at both the anus comment as well as the comments on the story itself.

Is Coralville really IC's suburb anymore? Seems like that's reversed over the last twenty years or so.

While they've not shown any sense through most of this process, I'm hoping they'll choose the flag with the magnolia on it and not the generic US shield on a plain background.

Capitals' clown suits: No, no, no, no...
Xmas in Jersey: Extra no.
Kachinas: With some changes, yes: red base, lose the green, maybe a different font.

All of that, though I'd prefer no text on flags because I'm a dork like that.

Top middle or bottom left seem like the best of a bad bunch, though I could get behind the idea of the bottom middle with some tweaked execution.

Yes. Yes it is.

I suddenly find myself wondering how Charlotte's blue compares to the Wizards' blue.

Minneapolis City's home kit, yes, but the team using the colors is Minneapolis City Futures, their youth team.
I wish I could get over my eyeroll reaction every time I think of Mpls City, since I know so many people who love them, but their attitude just rubs me the wrong way.

I’m personally not a huge fan of their USL look, but it served its purpose well enough and I think was distinctive enough to at least be memorable. Their MLS look, otoh, is an absolute train wreck. That’s the biggest issue. Their old look was sort of meh and left a lot of room for improvement, yet is still head and shoulders what they went with for MLS.I thought you were talking about St. Louis at first, because yeah.
I thought Cincinnati actually improved their crest a lot... it's just that they had a long, long way to go to be good and didn't really reach it.

Jeebus, that's really it. 70 to the left, 40 from the bottom, 44/55 on the right.

I suspect @Gothamite will get around to it.
52 minutes ago, Maroon said:if you know the St. Louis flag the rivers make a lot of sense
Eh. Having grown up in the area, I'm very familiar with the flag, and it took quite a bit to see those lines as representing the rivers.
As for the colors: I don't mind the magenta and navy idea... just don't tell me it's red.(Oh, and complete aside, but I went to a Cerezo Osaka game a few years ago and had a great time. Also, despite Wikipedia showing it as an old crest, the team website still shows "Cerezo Osaka" on their crest.)
