  1. Yeah, I was a bit worried about them being too similar to Coastal, but I wasn't quite sure about where else to go with them, especially since I wanted to avoid doing another blue or red team.
  2. Well, we've reached the end of this series. Our final expansion team is the Victoria Capitals, located in Victoria, BC. I chose to put another team in BC because with the first two expansion teams being in the east, I needed another team to balance out the divisions. I based their name and colors off of the failed CBL team under the same name. For the Capitals' Signature Series Uniform, admittedly, I was grasping for straws, but I decided to base the uniform accents on the original team's cap logo. If anyone has any suggestions for this one, I'm always open to C&C. I'm really proud of this series, and if there are no further updates, I'll be posting a few compilation images tomorrow.
  3. For our second expansion team, we have the Quebec Monarchs; based out of Quebec City. There was no frame of reference for a new team, but I decided use the flor di li found on the Quebec flag, as well as choosing purple to be their main color since it's traditionally a fairly royal color and there are no other purple teams in the league. For their Signature Series uniform, I decided to take heavy inspiration from the Nordiques since there is no history to draw inspiration from. C&C always appreciated.
  4. That's an interesting idea. I just might play around with that once I finish up this series!
  5. For the first expansion team, we have the most obvious choice: The Atlantic Schooners. I based the majority of their uniforms on a lot of the unofficial fan jerseys floating around, but I decided to focus more on white and gold rather than silver and a more yellowy gold. For their Signature Series uniform, I decided to lean heavily on the nautical theme with their jersey and stripe accents. C&C is always appreciated.
  6. Always a risk to go away from a traditional look for a team that only recently moved back to what is probably their best look, but this is super well done. Great job!
  7. So, I ended up finishing the remaining 3 of the Signature Series uniforms today and decided to post. For the Elks and Riders, they're pretty straight forward concepts: editing some of their existing logos to become centerpieces to the uniform set. As for the Ti-Cats, it's probably the most outlandish of the Signature Series: Tiger stripes... everywhere. C&C always welcome. In the coming days, I'll be posting mockups for 3 expansion teams: The Atlantic Schooners, The Quebec Monarchs, and The Victoria Capitals.
  8. For Ottawa, it was an obvious decision, but I didn't want to do it halfway. Plaid is a major part of this uniform and that includes the plaid helmet they were supposed to wear last time.
  9. For the Calgary Stampeders, I was digging around their old logos and came across their old horseshoe logo from the early 2000's, so I decided to base their Signature Series uniform off of them. C&C always appreciated.
  10. Next up in the Signature Series, we have the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Inspiration for this set is fairly obvious, but after playing around with it, I came up with something I liked.
  11. In what will likely be one of the most tame Signature Series sets, we have the BC Lions. I really loved their set in 2013 when they first came out (apparently so did everyone else since they sorta brought them back just yesterday) so I decided to make some changes to them and give my take on their gun metal and black set. Sure! Once I'm finished with the standard 9 Signature Series sets, I'd be happy to look into some ideas for the Schooners and potentially a Quebec City team!
  12. Next up in the signature series, we have Montreal. I really liked how the Als incorporated their old logos into their new identity, so I focused their uniforms on these and used design elements from their early 60s uniforms. C&C always welcome.
  13. For the first signature series uniform, we have the Toronto Argonauts. Much like the CFL's last go around 2013, the signature series will be using a different jersey template, this time being Nike's Vapor Fusion template introduced to Oregon in 2020. For this series, the goal is to have non-traditional uniforms within reason. Given that the Argos have had many classic looks, I decided to draw inspiration from their sleeve striping that they wore for the majority of the 2010s and transform it into a pseudo Steelers style yolk. C&C always appreciated.
  14. For the final team, we have the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. For the TiCats, it's a healthy mix of old and new. I wanted to expand on what I did for my last CFL endeavor, but still bringing in new options such as white pants and a yellow jersey. I've decided to also revive the Signature Series uniforms as I thought it was an interesting way for teams to get a little weird with their uniforms, and in a series of fairly traditional uniforms, I think it will be a fun exercise. C&C greatly appreciated, and if anyone has any ideas for the signature series, please sound off below.
  15. Home jersey for sure needs the white collar stripe
  16. The second to last team is the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Nothing crazy here, just some simplifying of their existing look. I made the sleeve stripes a more traditional Northwestern Stripe, took away the blue yolk on the away jersey, added an option for white pants, and created a color reversed set with gold jerseys.
  17. For the Lions, I based their set off the stripes on their 80's socks. Also, I wanted to reinforce orange as their dominant color as opposed to Adidas and New Era focussing more on the black.
  18. A bit jarring to see Palermo in Lazio colors, but these kits are fantastic
  19. I thought about that, but believe it or not, it's an official wordmark from the team! I thought it was an interesting play on the city name and team name so I decided to include it
  20. For the Calgary Stampeders, it's really just a return to basics. Nothing crazy, just wanted to give them a clean and classic set.
  21. It's funny you should say that. Up next we have the Ottawa RedBlacks. Very straight forward rebrand for Ottawa: make them the evolution of the RoughRiders.
  22. For the Saskatchewan Roughriders, I wanted to do something different than wat I did in my last go around. For the Riders, I mocked up an evolution of their 2007 uniforms into a more traditional and less gimmicky set. C&C always appreciated.
  23. Up next, we have the Edmonton Elks. For the Elks, It's a bit of a mix of some old and new. I didn't want to completely reinvent the wheel with them, but I did want to bring back the option for an alternate horns helmet as well as incorporating the horn football logo into the pants stripe as opposed to being on the sleeve and a repeating logo down the pant legs. C&C always appreciated.
  24. While the home and away alts aren't my favorites as a Devils fan, this is all I've been asking for for the main two. It's very well done.
