  1. What pattern are you talking about? Mississippi State's 2012 uniforms didn't have any "pattern" (I'm assuming you're talking about Adidas's TechFit Shockweb jersey template, which MSU didn't use).. The point is that Miss State's uniforms had a single, wide racing stripe down each shoulder and leg, while a&m's jersey had two racing stripes down each shoulder/sleeve, but a single stripe down each leg.. Also worth noting, the original a&m uniforms they were throwing back to (mid 70's), had the double stripe on the pants to match the jerseys, which they should've done beginning in 2012, instead of using pants similar to Miss State.. the last thing they need to do is adopt Miss State's old look by going with a single, wide stripe across all uniform elements.. keep the double shoulder/sleeve racing stripe and use a double stripe on the pants to match.
  2. Solid looking uniform, but if i recall correctly, Adidas came out with these around the same timeframe they came out with Miss State's "banner"-stripe uniforms.. MSU's single, wide, banner-style stripe looked very similar to what you created here, which is likely why they gave a&m the double-stripe
  3. The biggest issue with the entire set is the double stripes on the jerseys but single stripes on the pants
  4. To be fair, Ark State did it about as poorly as you possibly could.. check out Georgia State's uniforms for an instant improvement in application
  5. White numbers with no outline works for Tennessee, so the Browns should be just fine.. your jersey is much lighter than your helmet and accessories, so adjusting that will help as well.. also worth noting, the orange jersey is an alternate.. it's allowed to be a bit different.. or, if "consistency" is holding you up.. you could argue that all jerseys have numbers with a brown outline..
  6. Orange jerseys need cream numbers.. otherwise, fantastic
  7. I'm talking about the red jersey.. they would be white numerals.. I think the 2-tone red in the jersey itself is different enough to distinguish it.. you can keep the black numbers on the white jersey
  8. I do hate the black numerals on the red jersey, but I don't hate the overall design.. very interesting.. nice work
  9. I actually prefer the thicker trim, but I preferred the thinner wordmark from a few years ago, and I agree that the number font just needs some tweaks (specifically those overhangs) to be a really solid look
  10. Looks like the Seahawks and Ravens mascots had a baby
  11. I truly have no idea if this is the case or not, but it could've had something to do with "centering".. having the side of the T with the drop shadow being a bit shorter might make up for discrepancies between the actual center and the visual center of the overall logo
  12. It doesn't bother me, because theoretically, they should NEVER be seen together. Complete non-issue imo.. it's much more important that the pieces that are worn together match nicely than ones that don't even get worn the same weeks
  13. I agree they had a few decent successes, but by-and-large their stuff was the lowest level of top-tier work, and some was well below that.. I think it benefitted from being able to hide behind various trends and fads of the era during their heyday (shaded/beveled/italicized wordmarks, for example)..
  14. I live an hour and a half from Asheville, and I had no idea... I know it as a nice place, beautiful area, mountains, a bit hipster-ish, and what Goth said, but had no idea it was so beer-heavy
  15. I don't necessarily disagree, but I don't really have any issues with the jersey as-is either.. the curvy, Viking-horn-esque design of the sleeve stripes differs from the straight, traditional pants stripes enough that I'm ok with them being a little different in more ways than just the shape
  16. The Vikings striping on their white pants is perfect
  17. Sleeves don't have "caps".. there is a type of sleeve called a "cap-sleeve", which most modern football jerseys have, but even on those jerseys, that area is still just a "sleeve".. all football jerseys have sleeves.. none of them have caps.. some, however, are cap-sleeves, but they're still just sleeves
  18. I don't like when people refer to oval helmet logos as rugby balls.. even if a particular team formerly used a football shape, their current is just an oval.. OFOS.. ovals can and do make good helmet logos, and that's a justifiable enough reason to use them.. I highly doubt anyone ever said "hey, I know our football shaped logo looks good, but it would make so much more sense if wet instead used a rugby ball shape"
  19. From a function standpoint, the navy numbers muddy the look and become difficult to read with multiple players and lots of motion etc
  20. From the front view, the helmet stripe looks like a normal braisher stripe, which I think was the intention - and it matches the braisher stripe on the pants.. The shoulder yoke isn't a stripe or really even a "design feature" like stripes are, so I don't really feel like they're comparable or that there's anything to "match" between the two elements.. I agree with you on the number font though.. I never cared for that font at all.. the social media font would've been a fantastic upgrade.. I don't think it was a masterpiece by any means, and I think they struggled finding their best looks and sticking with them, but overall I think the previous set was miles ahead of the new set. But to answer your question: yes, it's ok to say it was trash.. I don't agree with you, but I support your right to be wrong
  21. Differing from UNC is going the wrong direction.. The navy numbers are trash.. there's a reason UNC uses white.. they look better and function better
  22. You know the purpose of stirrups is to actually act as the socks right? The only reason for the socks underneath is the toxic dyes used to color the stirrups back in the day.. if the dyes were safer, they would've just worn colored socks, and baseball stirrups likely wouldn't exist at all.. I agree that the stirrup look is a great baseball aesthetic, but it's a derivative of an attempted solid-sock look from the past..
  23. I like v-neck pullover baseball jerseys.. never understood the hate for them.. every other jersey-wearing sport features a pullover-style jersey.. Not sure why baseball HAS to be an exception.. Don't get me wrong, I love traditional button-up jerseys as well, but I think there's plenty of room for both styles in the sport
