  1. Can I ask where you got this template? I would love to use it in my future concepts. I'm loving this set for the Texans. The simple 2 stripes on the sleeve are clean and distinguished enough to be unique!
  2. The one they released is very bland. Almost nothing going on. But I like that they are paying tribute to the old Chicago Stadium... Here's my take... Removed white, make the red pop a bit more. Added the Bulls logo in red to give it a bit more life. Filled empty space with a subtle Street Map of Downtown Chicago, also added the original sign on the side of the jersey, with the 6 point stars Chicago is synonymous with. Thoughts?
  3. I hadn't thought of that for some reason... Here's 2 versions of what that could look like... So I added the blue back from the original 99 jerseys in the first one, but wasn't too sure and then went with the normal 06 silver. I think I like the silver better, what do you think?
  4. Final 3! The journey is over. Let's finish this up... BELLEVILLE SENATORS Home Away Alternate Heritage Their Main 3 are perfect, no edits. Alternate is a throwback to the OHL days and the Subban boys. Kind of took my own inspiration for that one, adding the horns like the Buffalo Sabres throwbacks have. WILKES-BARRE SCRANTON PENGUINS Home Away Alternate Heritage Like alot of these, I wanted to keep the majority of their design the same, minor tweaks. Bottom of the away is different than their current one, and I liked the two-toned look of their third but wanted to add a yellow alt as well, so I combined the 2 (May look like Boston's old school one but.... meh). The Heritage goes back to their inaugural season. ROCKFORD ICEHOGS Home Away Alternate Heritage My hometown team. The reason I love sports... I'm glad they moved on from their older logo, but I still wish they had more of their own identity.... Oh well. Added hints of their old blue color to the home jersey, as well as extra stripes on the sleeves. Away is pretty much unchanged as the Hawks have a pretty timeless white jersey. Alternate is just their current alternate. Love this so much, I'm glad they change their identity and everything. Heritage is their 1999 UHL Debut jersey... Is it good? no. But its nostalgic. And that's what its about right? SO THERE YOU HAVE IT. I've now done NFL, NHL, and AHL. What should I do next? Now that everything is done, who are your favorites? least favorites? What should I fix?
  5. Hoo boy. I've neglected this.... But It was my busy season (If anyone watches Tom Grossi on YouTube, you'll know why I was busy). At any rate, let's get back into it. When I last left off I think I had 8 left... Let's get 5 out of the way now. UTICA COMETS Home Away Alternate Heritage I loved their aesthetic when they were affiliated with the Canucks. But with their move to the Devils organization, it allows us to bring back the old school U Devil logo they used to use. So that's what I used with their Heritage jersey. Also went with a sort of Black Out design with their Alternate because we all know New Jersey needs a black third. So why not give their AHL club one? BAKERSFIELD CONDORS Home Away Alternate Heritage Didn't change up a whole lot from their parent club for their home and away, sort of a "reverse retro" kind of approach tho. White sleeve cuffs and shoulders for the homes, orange ones for the road. Decided to go with the Oilers much beloved 2016 3rd orange jersey for the Alt, I just feel their alternate logo looks great on the orange. And I went with the old OKC Barons jersey as it kind of took homage from the 90's Oilers days with the bronze coloring. I changed the "Oklahoma City" text into "Bakersfield" on the logo, to keep it local. SPRINGFIELD THUNDERBIRDS Home Away Alternate Heritage I really like how the Thunderbirds have their own identity so I had fun with these. I really wanted to incorporate more yellow into their jerseys as its prominent in their logo but not really in their uniforms. So I added some yellow stripes up the sleeve and added a little yellow lightning bolt to the ends. The Alternate takes the lightning to a new level and makes it the primary design. I feel it goes really well with the chest crest. And another Heritage jersey throwing back to their previous AHL squad, the Portland Pirates, remixed to the Thunderbirds colors. ROSEMONT WOLVES Home Away Alternate Heritage For the team that blocked me on Twitter because I called them out on their stupid "We Are Chicago's Team" when A. No that's the Blackhawks and B. You aren't even affiliated with them... I decided not to do too much with them. The Rosemont Wolves keep their same 3 jerseys, with a throwback to their Atlanta Affiliate days... woo. SAN JOSE BARRACUDA Home Away Alternate Heritage San Jose recently changed their design, and I like it for the most part. But wanted to give it a tiny bit more reference to their NHL Squad, so I added some wave sublimation between the top 2 and bottom two stripes much like how the Sharks have done. This design started with the grey, and since I wanted them to have a Black Alternate, I made the grey their primary road sweater. To make sure they still had a white jersey I went with an older Worcester Sharks design but with San Jose branding. So that's the update... I only have the Belleville Senators, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, and the Rockford IceHogs left... This should be fun! As always thanks for checking these out and leaving feedback! Its always appreciated!
  6. These Heritage jerseys are a great way to divulge into teams' histories that I had no idea about. Its super fun! I'm glad you're enjoying them! I promise you I didn't intentionally steal! haha. I agree, Great minds think alike! Thanks for the love! Awesome. Glad that worked out! ALRIGHT! 2 more teams for y'all. First: BRIDGEPORT ISLANDERS Home Away Alternate Heritage Tried to keep them generally the same with some minor tweaks. AND: TUCSON ROADRUNNERS Home Away Alternate Heritage LOVED looking up the old Roadrunners in previous leagues. There was a logo I would've rather used but I couldn't find a good enough quality one. That being said, I think this one came out really well! These were fun to do! I think I only have about 8 remaining! Maybe 10, can't remember with the weird Pacific Division! Haha!
  7. I tried to make it look like more of a constellation map this time around, let me know if that worked... Another team for you here as well! ONTARIO REIGN Home Away Alternate Heritage Again, not much of a history for the Reign, so I dipped into LA history instead.
  8. You got it! Also, I worked for an AHL team for 5 seasons so I always appreciate AHL jerseys! I may look into ECHL after this series... Hmmmm... that is interesting. Got 2 more for you! COLORADO EAGLES Home Away Alternate Heritage OK, The Alternate might be my most outlandish jersey yet, and I agree its kinda hard to see, but I had the idea for a while... Maybe I can tweak the logo to make it more visible? Or maybe its just a specialty jersey... Idk. NEXT, TEXAS STARS Home Away Alternate Heritage Kinda pulled into Reverse Retro Dallas territory, but there hasn't been too many different looks for the Texas team. I thought about going Iowa Stars/Chops but I just didn't like that idea... So I went with a Dallas star. I had half a mind to go with a black star design and call it the alternate, but I decided to split those ideas up because I really liked their logo from 2013/14 and wanted to use it. So, anything you would tweak? I gotta get into gear with the Pacific... who's idea was it to give them 10 teams??
  9. Thank you so much! Which ones are your favorites so far? As I eagerly await an answer, let me share with you the Syracuse Crunch! SYRACUSE CRUNCH Home Away Alternate Heritage I'm a big fan of the logo of the Crunch so I wanted to incorporate that a bit into the uniform. Got a Western Team coming up next! Which one should it be?
  10. Ask and you shall receive! I'll do Hartford first, I'll get to Bridgeport a little later... HARTFORD WOLF PACK Home Away Alternate Heritage The Heritage originally had the tops of the sleeves filled in the length of them, but I feel I've done that alot... So i made a change to get that circular striping to pop. I'm trying to do a team from every division every 4, so up next will be the Syracuse Crunch! Not quite finished with them yet though... After the CRUNCH what team should I tackle?
  11. Thank you! They were fun to create! On to the next couple of teams! I think I'm over half way done..... And these were really fun to look into. IOWA WILD Home Away Alternate Heritage ABBOTSFORD CANUCKS Home Away Alternate Heritage I can't get over how much fun Abbotsford was to create. The shoulder logos for the Alt and Heritage were a good challenge. Who should I do next?
  12. Thank you! I'm glad you like it! And Thanks, I really worked fast to get that one out while their rebrand was still fresh lol. Yeah. I'm definitely ok with teams having their own branding (ie. Milwaukee), but when things seem to be BASED off the parent club, you would think they'd want to tweak it a bit. Thanks! As mentioned earlier, it took me about 3 tries to get that right. Had alot of influences going around lol. OK! On to the next 2 teams... HENDERSON SILVER KNIGHTS Home Away Alternate Heritage The grey and the white they currently have are too indistinguishable from each other, at least in NHL 23... So I wanted to try and differentiate them a bit. Also, the heritage jersey take influence from the San Antonio Rampage... the team Vegas bought and moved to become Henderson. Next up: LEHIGH VALLEY PHANTOMS Home Away Alternate Heritage And there we are! Finally a bit of different colors between teams! These ones were fun to do. Henderson is relatively new so I had to play off my Vegas knowledge a bit... and Lehigh Valley was fun because I don't know much about them. It was fun to discover their uniforms and history! What teams should I do next?
  13. Love the detailed comments! I'll look into updating the Moose... I actually started with their alt first in this one, so I kinda backed myself into a corner. I'll take a stab at a lighter home tho. And your wish is my command... stay tuned below! I'm also not a big fan of actual gradients on jerseys. I'm more of a staged gradient type of guy... but I was playing around with it on theirs and it just seemed to work. Reminds me of sunset on the California coastline... NO IDEA if Coachella Valley is on the coastline but its California, lol. Glad you like it! Thank you! Some family wanted me to do them and before I even saw their older jerseys I knew I wanted the checkerboard pattern on it. I always forget they're affiliated with the Panthers now so I wanted to remind myself (and maybe some others) that they have NO affiliation with the Canes anymore, I think its hard to do with the design they have. Thanks everyone for the feedback! thesieve22 asked about Laval or Henderson... and I noticed the Canadiens logo in the profile picture... So here they are: LAVAL ROCKET Home Away Alternate Heritage I will say the Heritage jersey went through quite a bit of changes. I never wanted to go FULL BARBERSHOP but I varied on the final design. Shoutout to my friends for helping me find a good middle ground! That's the update! Hope to have an update with more than one next time. We'll see how many I can make in between shifts! I'm thinking Henderson will be next, but I REALLY love their uniforms so it may be hard to change anything haha. Keep leaving suggestions and comments below! I love reading them!
  14. Keeping on with my hockey jersey concepts, this time making my way through the American Hockey League. I started these a few weeks ago, so I'm still in the process of getting through the league. I will be updating more often... That being said, let's start with the Calder Cup Champions... HERSHEY BEARS Home AWAY Alternate Heritage And let's continue with the Western Conference Champions: Coachella Valley Firebirds Home Away Alternate Heritage PROVIDENCE BRUINS Home Away Alternate Heritage ROCHESTER AMERICANS Home Away Alternate Heritage CALGARY WRANGLERS Home Away Alternate Heritage MILWAUKEE ADMIRALS Home Away Alternate Heritage TORONTO MARLIES Home Away Alternate Heritage MANITOBA MOOSE Home Away Alternate Heritage SAN DIEGO GULLS Home Away Alternate Heritage CHARLOTTE CHECKERS Home Away \ Alternate Heritage CLEVELAND MONSTERS Home Away Alternate Heritage GRAND RAPIDS GRIFFINS Home Away Alternate Heritage Well... there you have it... the first 12 of the 32 AHL teams. Who do you want me to try next? What do you like about the ones I posted so far? What should I change?
  15. PACIFIC DIVISION ANAHEIM DUCKS Orange is their color. They should stick with it. A mix of their current striping pattern, but designed in a way to harken back to their Disney Days. Alternate is a color swap TO those Mighty colors and logos. RR is their '07 Cup winning design, with the old school colors. In hindsight I should have made it a green base, but... You live and you learn. CALGARY FLAMES Blast makes his return, this time FULL TIME. Black is, by and by, the same as their RR 1.0... Road is all new, with a color swap in the logo to fir a bit better. Alternate is a red take combining a few different alternates... Obviously Blasty, combined with the 2013 alternate, and their old homes with the numbers. RR is the 2011 Heritage Classic with swapped colors. Each color gets its own jersey! EDMONTON OILERS Why mess with a classic like they've tried to do SO MANY TIMES?!?! So it finally stays. The Road gets the same arm treatment as the home. Alternate could be considered a Fauxback for a Winter or Heritage Classic. Orange as the base, lots of stripes the winter classic shoulders. Had a poll among friends between this and another one, and alot preferred that one. RR is essentially just a Retro, from their Navy and oil third. They already did the Comic logo... so... LOS ANGELES KINGS RETURN OF PURPLE (forum blue)!!! Reverse Retro 1.0 takes over as the home, Road is fairly similar. For the Alternate I wanted a straight throwback to their original home, the white and purp, but wanted to keep their Cup Era logo in the fold. and the RR is a Grey version of The Hockey Guy's favorite jersey he owns... the '98 Road! SAN JOSE SHARKS My other favorite set, the Sharks! May not be able to see it, but I added a subtle design to the big stripes. Its not the one they currently have (although I like the waves)... I designed, what I think, look like shark teeth, but with many stripes intersecting each other. I also brought Orange back into the fold as it remains in their logo, it remains in the uniform. Its limited in the Alternate black, but I thought its inclusion helps it pop a bit. RR is a black version of their old Heritage jersey, originally from '91. SEATTLE KRAKEN Home and Road are very similar, except the stripes have added suction cup like indentations. Alternate was literally the last jersey I designed as the Alternate and RR were EXACTLY the same... So I came up with one VERY QUICKLY and that's what came out. They eyes on the shoulders were the last addition... IDK if I like it or not... but I don't hate it. RR is a Metropolitans take with thick striping, and an old school logo. VANCOUVER CANUCKS And the last of my sets I think I love. As a Blackhawks fan, I actually hated the Canucks for a long time. But the Sedin's are gone, Bobby Lu is gone... So they're iight I guess. Home takes a bit of inspiration from their alternate from 2019, but I added the white, V shaped stripes to help make it pop. White is the same, only with a different colored logo and alternating colored stripes. If you saw the shoulders with the V Johnny Canuck logo, then you may like this... Johnny Canuck makes an appearance on a green alternate. Another 2-tones jersey, in essence (white highlights on the logo and numbers), but added flannel/tartan texture to the striping. RR is the FLYING V!!!!! In current color schemes. Not much to say really... It took a while to create. VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS Finally.... Vegas. They went gold fulltime this year... So I kept that. Castle stripe design with the peaks of towers in there for the home and away. Alternate is a combination of their RRs... Black base with gold striping from 2.0, Logo and design from RR 1.0. RR is based off the Vegas Gamblers from 1968, now in grey with the card suits scattered throughout the single gold stripe. Basic and Old School, with a touch of modern touch-ups. THERE IT IS. This took months to design and finish off, and would love some reactions. If you like these, I have a few more topics on concepts I've made. I also have alot on my Twitter @JonnyRockford . You don't have to follow, but I'd appreciate a look at some of my stuff there! Thank you all!
  16. MONTREAL - Yeah, I was away from my normal computer at the time and re-downloaded the template. I guess I should re-edit it with the template used for the others. Good looking out. I'm very appreciative that you continue to leave very concise feedback. I'm excited you're liking the series so far! CENTRAL DIVISION ARIZONA COYOTES Who knows if they'll even still be a team by 2024. At any rate, kept the home the same, apart from a logo swap. The road I made desert sand colored since its in the home color scheme. Seemed like an easy choice. The alternate is a little bit different... Decided to go with a mascot tribute... Its designed on the jersey the full body Kachina logo is wearing, purple trimmed stripes and all. Hem stripe is based on (what I think is) the pants. The Reverse Retro is a mix of their current red alternate, just with the striping filled in instead of the weird outline stuff. CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS My favorite team. Didn't want to change them too much from what made them iconic... just took a bit of an old school approach: adding extra sleeve stripes on the home, and moving the shoulder patches down over top of them. The Alternate was inspired by a hat I bought at the United Center, where 4 simplistic feathers were overtop 4 stripes of the main feather colors. I decided to use that hat logo as the patch on the sleeves, as well as removing the same pattern from the actual crest. The RR is inspired from the Edmonton RR 1.0, where they reversed the colors of the stripes. COLORADO AVALANCHE I REALLY love the shade of blue Colorado uses... more so than the maroon... So I wanted to highlight that. I swapped the colors on the home, and used the blue as the trim color on the road. Also recolored the shoulder patch. The Alternate is a take on the 2020 Stadium Series, which really grew on me. Used their great alternate logo on this one, added triangle striping in the white to mimic a mountain range and moved the numbers to the shoulders. The RR is a road version of their '09 maroon alternate. DALLAS STARS This might have become my favorite set after working on them. I wanted to just separate them more from the Blackhawks jerseys, so I tweaked the striping a bit, while adding a shiny silver stripe in there (maybe using the same material as the silver parts of the Predators RR 1.0 jersey). I also prefer the Texas State logo over the round logo for the shoulder patches. The alternate was fun. Getting to recreate the classic 1999 design in their neon colors was challenging but a welcome experience. I wanted to throw in a bit of the silver touch I added... My thought is that it would only be visible in right light... And nobody likes the Mooterus.... which is why its PERFECT for the RR program. Donned in the current color branding. MINNESOTA WILD Another green jersey set. Kept the home pretty similar... just extended the thin red stripe through the torso (also more centered). Put the numbers even with the stripes too. I've come to realize I really enjoy 2-toned uniforms, and that's no where near as apparent as the road for Minnesota. All cream, with only green striping. Is it bold? yes. Does it work? That's for you to tell me haha. Alternate brings back the red jersey, more in line with the new striping. Also returning is the roundel logo and the script crest. RR seems like the only evolution for the Wild... a black North Stars inspired sweater. NASHVILLE PREDATORS This I feel will be the most polarizing (if more people see them). It may be too busy for some people but let's see. Guitar neck sublimated on a thick navy stripe to give some of that country and music overall feel. The shoulder striping was my attempt to look like fangs coming down... Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. What say you? The Alternate is just an updated version of their current home jerseys. Just needs a BIT more navy, so I added it to the shoulders. The RR is a new guitar themed checkered version of their 09 alternate. St. Louis is essentially untouched for the home and away. The alternate is an idea I had back in 2020 with a stage gradient trying to echo the rapids of the Mississippi River flowing in between the city and Illinois... I went to STL in 2022 and saw a sunset there I'll never forget, painted behind the Arch.... I wanted to capture that in the crest. Added a gradient to the numbers on the shoulders as well. The RR is a white version of the '08 Navy Alternate (alot of 00's influences)... WINNIPEG JETS Based on their original uniforms with updated colors for the home. For the away, my intention was to incorporate "White Out" Nights, playoffs or not, for the city of Winnipeg. NOBODY does a white out much like the Jets faithful, so I wanted a jersey to play into that. The Alternate could have been the RR, but I already had theirs sitting there and decided to design a tribute to the team that came before them, the Atlanta Thrashers. Two-toned red with navy and whit accents to flesh it out. The RR is actually just a lighter color swap of the home... which originated in '79. And there's the Central Division! One Division remains, let's hope I finish strong, eh?
  17. ATLANTIC DIVISION BOSTON BRUINS Not too many changes to the Home or Away for the B's. Just a slight tweak to the collar. The alternate I went with their 2019 Winter Classic, with brown changed to black. Imo, its their best jersey... but added their older alternate logo instead of the B. For the Reverse Retro, I based it off their 1940 Home jersey. Wordfont on the front with a number, B's on the sides. Changed from white to black. Buffalo Sabres Whole new look for the Sabres. I've never really like their round logo so I took it away. Kept the detailed Buffalo from the new jerseys. Tried to get a bladed stripe look with the white stripes, outlines in blue and gold to make it pop on the home. The Away didn't really fit with the blade motif so I tried to just to simplify it. May be too many stripes.... Alternate and Reverse Retro are essentially both Reverse Retros... A Goat Head with classic striping, and a Buffaslug in old school/modern colors from '08. This one may have been the longest I spent on trying to match everything up for this set. DETROIT RED WINGS Red Wings NEVER change their jerseys... So I didn't change too much. Just alternate colored collars. Alternate... Black. Most Wings fans don't want it, but I don't see how an alternate could hurt. I swapped the white for red. And for the RR, I took their famed '14 Winter Classic jersey and just... well.... reversed it lol. One of, if not their BEST specialty jersey. Why not pay tribute to it? FLORIDA PANTHERS As I type this, they just got scored on shorthanded in Game 5 of the Final..... So this is awkward. I wanted to incorporate more of their color palette in both the home and road jerseys. Added navy to the stripes and added an actual shine to the gold on the border stripes. Alternate is a version of their RR 1.0, with a bit of an edited logo... leaping Panther JUMPING thru the current logo. And the RR is just the leaping Panther, and kind of an away version of the alternate. MONTREAL CANADIENS Kept the Home essentially the same. Its classic and Iconic. Its always bugged me, however, that the roads never matched the home set... So I wanted to rectify that. The alternate is one that i designed a long time ago, and I just wanted to keep it around. The reverse retro is a play on their white jerseys they played in against the Red Wings... Made it red because... like... why not? OTTAWA SENATORS Here's where current and past meet up. Old school O jersey alternates mixed with a little bit of gold for the home and the away. Alternate brings back the HL 100 jersey with improved stripes. RR is a red version of the 2000 black alternate. I even had the arrows reversed. TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING This is what inspired the project. I wanted Tampa to have a separate identity from Toronto so bad... instead of Blue and Black as their main colors... I wanted to make it blue and Navy. Made some lightning striping, added some brighter blue in there for emphasis, and viola... Alternate is a black one, maybe a potential Stadium Series inspired look. May have to fix the numbers... RR is the '08 Home jersey, moved to black because, well, I did these a while ago and black was very in... TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS And finally the Leafs. Went almost ALL retro with this one. A play on their current RR, 2.0, made a road one for that as well... Alternate originally had a Green St. Pats... but I went with a cream and black look... to try and make it look like an old black and white highlight reel... I also already had the RR to give it a bit of a color look as well. THAT'S THE ATLANTIC DIVISION! What did I hit on? What did I miss on? Should I stop explaining myself and just post em? Let me know what you all think! I always look forward to comments and suggestions!
  18. So I'm technically cheating as some aren't really re-designed. But at any rate, I'd like to share with you all some of my newest concepts. I designed a new Home, Away, and Alternate... and I paired them with my older Reverse Retro jerseys to create a 4 jersey family for each team! We'll get things started with... THE METROPOLITAN DIVISION CAROLINA HURRICANES Tried to combine the current heritage jerseys with their original Adidas Home jerseys, with everyone's preferred logo (or so it seems). With the alternate, I tried to improve the "current home" (black alternate) by keeping it a bit more two-toned. Never really liked the random grey in there... Tho I did keep it in the logo. And for the Reverse Retro, went with the 2008 black alternate, but went hard on the grey this time. COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS Its time for them to just embrace the alternate as their home and get a road to go with it. It's just such a great uni. I tried to imagine a worthy road jersey for it. For the alternate, I thought along the lines of a City/State jersey and embraced the Ohio State Flag. Not too sure I love the numbers, but I also didn't know how else to make it work. For the Reverse Retro, I went back to their first year in the league and embraced Stinger, their mascot's original colors. New Jersey Devils Again I tried to combine eras for the home and away. The old school striping of the Red and Green days, mixed with the current red and black color scheme. And for the alternate I offer my basic fix for their current jersey... just a bit more red. Helps it stand out from the Blackhawks Winter Classic from 2019. Added striping to the bottom as well. For the Reverse Retro, just a black version of their Reebok days. Just a change of pace from the Jersey jersey. New York Islanders I thought about how to make the Fisherman fit in their current scheme. The answer was just a HINT of teal in the home and away. I switched their home to a a take on their Reverse Retro 1.0, and added a thin teal stripe, then tried to spin it to a road. For the Fisherman itself, I wanted a good mix between more old school, but more modern as well, with just a bit more teal. And the Reverse Retro is, really, just a return to the road sweater... Still more modern tho. New York Rangers Essentially kept their home and away the same. Iconic. No need to change, apart from making it say NEW YORK down the front on the road, just to differentiate it from the Home. The Alternate is the return of Lady Liberty, in essentially a mix of the 2 Reverse Retros from 1 & 2, with the 2 shades of blue instead of silver... And the Reverse Retro is a navy play on their road. Road striping for a home jersey. Philadelphia Flyers This design for the home and away, in essence, is already set to return I think pretty soon. I just swapped the black and white on the home to make it look a bit more Broad Street Bully-esque. The alternate is an incredibly new take. Kind of the striping from the logo, but in orange, and almost a throwback striping on the shoulders. The Reverse Retro is based off the 2002 orange alternate, making it mostly black instead, and bringing back the good ole 3D logo. Pittsburgh Penguins Taking their current logo and plopping it on their alternates. Just too clean. As for the alternates..... I designed the Reverse Retro MONTHS ago, and honestly forgot I made the grey one. I made it grey for the honor of the ROBO-Penguin... When I think Robot, I think grey/metal. Plus it was already in the jersey colors... And then I designed the alternate a few days ago... Forgetting about the Robo Penguin... I made another... OOPS. Taking their first colors and throwing it on the same template (more or less). Washington Capitals I wanted to kinda "fix" the Capitals jerseys. Instead of the weird striping down the arm, tried to turn it and make it a normal stripe. Added a darker shade of red on the other side, some stars and the Weagle... BOOM. New branding. For the Road, I started with the arms, went "Red, White, And Blue", flipped it for the torso. Alternate goes Reverse Reverse Retro. Navy version of their 1.0. And an EASY Reverse Retro, blue version of the old Winter Classic,
  19. Hello all, I recently spent a couple of weeks on NHLUniforms and here and wanted to try my hand at a Reverse Retro jersey for every team. This is what I came up with. I hope you all enjoy! COLORADO AVALANCHE An away version of their 2001/2009 Alternate sweaters. I know this would make all three of their Reverse Retro jerseys a white sweater, but they look cleaner than their normal white jerseys imo. CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS Essentially a color flipped version of their current road jerseys, ala Edmonton in 2020. Marked it as the 1961 edition since it was the first season this design was worn. COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS 0 An out of the box take on this one, taking the colors from the mascot logo from their inaugural season, and applying them to the original white jersey. They never used the logo for jerseys and I thought it would be fun to see what it would look like. ST. LOUIS BLUES They really should bring back their alternate from 2008. Alot of people loved it, especially the logo. I wondered what a white version would look like. Might as well throw it into this series. BOSTON BRUINS In 1940, the Bruins had white sweaters with numbers on the front and Bs on the sleeves, and some very bland black jerseys with a wordmark. I combined the two! MONTREAL CANADIENS 1935 White jerseys remixed with their main red color. Their red jerseys have had the center stripe for almost every jersey, I wondered what it looked like without that. This is the result. VANCOUVER CANUCKS THE V JERSEY! With modern colors. Had to do it to em. 1978 version. WASHINGTON CAPITALS Blue version of the 74 "heritage" jersey. ARIZONA COYOTES When the Coyotes first moved away from the Kachina jersey, they unveiled a very basic maroon and white jersey... With the RETURN of the Kachina a few years ago, why not mix the two? Kachina styled and desert colored stripes with the maroon jersey. 03. NEW JERSEY DEVILS Black version of their original 92 red jerseys. Anaheim Ducks The Ducks won the Stanley Cup in 2007, one season after they dropped Disney as owners and changed to a black, orange, and gold color schemed. Why not honor their Cup win while acknowledging their history before? CALGARY FLAMES They made a red jersey for their Heritage Classic in 2011, so why not flip it? ...IDK why it says 21 in the collar, please ignore. PHILADELPHIA FLYERS In 2002, the Flyers changed their logo for their jersey for the first time ever. The 3D chrome logo was much maligned when they debuted... make it black and send it back out there. VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS in 1968, a Vegas hockey team played ONE GAME... They were the Vegas Gamblers. Very basic purple and yellow jerseys with simple striping... But a very cool GAMBLERS logo in front of playing cards. Switching it to Golden Knight Flair wasn't too difficult. Added the gold flake to the stripes and added some card icons around it. CAROLINA HURRICANES Their original 2008 black alternates, now in grey, along with their new alternate logo. Added a triangle behind it like the original logo had. NEW YORK ISLANDERS When the Islanders brought back the Fisherman jerseys this year, alot of people were disappointed with the lack of teal. To try and make good, I re-added the teal, but took out the grey bits of the white jersey. I hope this 1995 version is more appreciated haha. WINNIPEG JETS Their original jerseys from 1979, now in red! Not much else to say! LOS ANGELES KINGS Their 1998 home jerseys, swapped to grey. They've had some grey jerseys recently, what would they have looked like with an older grey jersey? not too bad! SEATTLE KRAKEN The jersey I think everyone expected when they announced the RR was coming back... but didn't get. Based off the Seattle Metropolitans of 1921. TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING Decided to make a black alternate out of their 2008 Blue alternate. Different template back then, but I wanted to incorporate the unique underarm mesh striping somehow in the main design. Opted to put them on the underside of the arm stripes. TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS Based on their 1927 Winter Classic jersey from 2014, but white. EDMONTON OILERS This is the point I realize I did ALOT of 2000s jerseys... AT ANY RATE... Oilers wanted to add bronze to their jerseys... for some reason... But I just thought I'd bring them back. FLORIDA PANTHERS Based on their original 1993 away, but REVERSING the colors.... obviously... PITTSBURGH PENGUINS FULL ON ROBO PENGUIN... Complete with full grey jerseys. NASHVILLE PREDATORS Hey look, another 2000s alternate. I was confused as to why the checkerboard pattern was there, as I was slacking in my research... So I decided to go with guitar and bass necks/frets, but in yellow instead of blue. If anyone would like to see a yellow checkerboard pattern, let me know. NEW YORK RANGERS Decided to go with a blue version of their white sweaters. DETROIT RED WINGS Took their 2014 Winter Classic as well as I think its one of the best Winter Classic jerseys out there. BUFFALO SABRES BUFFASLUG... in modern/original colors. OTTAWA SENATORS They apparently never had a red version of the methhead Sen... So I did it. Since its REVERSE retro.... I also reversed the arrow things... SAN JOSE SHARKS I believe the Sharks got rid of their Stealth Black jerseys with their new rebrand... so its a perfect time to actually bring these into rotation. DALLAS STARS MOOTERUS but current colors. 'nuff said. MINNESOTA WILD They haven't had a red jersey in quite a while, so it made sense to make a Reverse Retro in red. Had to go their original home jersey too. That's all of them! I hope you like them. Leave a comment below with what you like and don't like! Maybe I'll make some tweaks!
  20. AFC WEST DENVER BRONCOS Kept em orange, but wanted a more traditional design. Pants can be used with any jersey. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS Not too different from their current set, but went back to their old font, played with the sleeve color though. Another 2 toned color alternate.... KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Didn't do much, just added some black into the striping and numbers for the home and away. Went way out of the box for the alternates, more of a BFBS type of deal. I'd envision these on like a Thursday night. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS Just made the silver actually shine like they did on their color rush uniforms, and added a bit more shine to the pants and helmet. Just added a touch of gold for the alternate, if you're in Vegas, you need some gold. NFC WEST SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS Same with Vegas, I added a bit of shine to the pants and helmet, otherwise home and away are untouched. Tried a gold alternate. Added some black to replace the white to help it stand out. ARIZONA CARDINALS I think the Cardinals have the worst current uniforms in the league... I tried to fix that, not sure if everyone will like it. Went real basic at first, added a sunburst to the sleeves since its on the Arizona flag. Thought a mostly White and Black road uniform would help them stand out... But then it looked a bit too much like the Bengals... Oh well. All back alternate, at least they actually have one currently, just added maroon as well as red. LOS ANGELES RAMS Almost unchanged home and away, just took away the random patches. Went back to the all yellow alternate, fit with the yellow helmet. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS Struggled with this one. Went with a "Seahawk Stripe" on the sleeves, kept numbers the same, and added the pant stripe to the helmet. Went throwback for their alternate, but made it green instead of blue. AFC NORTH CINCINNATI BENGALS Went essentially all 2-toned across the board for them. I really think its clean. Normal away has orange numbers and letters, mostly to let the "White Tiger" alternate to really pop. CLEVELAND BROWNS Nothing too crazy here. Altered the striping a bit to match the helmet. Went 2014 Browns for the orange alternate, I might be the only one on Earth who didn't hate those. BALTIMORE RAVENS Added a subtle Maryland flag pattern to the shoulders of the black jersey, gave them a bit of a unique stipe as well. Used both logos on the helmet (but mostly because I couldn't find the reversed Raven logo). PITTSBURGH STEELERS They need logos on both sides. Its time. Also added a helmet stripe to match the sleeves. Went Steel Curtain alternate, a lot of grey and silver to pound that home. NFC NORTH CHICAGO BEARS Added stripes to the helmet, otherwise home and away are almost unchanged. Alternate is a combination of their 3 alternates, the Monsters of the Midway with the 2-toned jersey, the orange alt, and the classic jersey with the pants striping. Feel like it just fits. DETROIT LIONS Tried working with their classic "Ford" looking logo. Vertical stripes everywhere. Added white back into it. Kept the alternate grey, just love the way it looks. GREEN BAY PACKERS Went old school with the striping, otherwise unchanged. Kept their alternate the green and gold, but changed the helmet to green and added the GB logo. Also tried keeping the striping more consistent. MINNESOTA VIKINGS Really proud of the striping on the sleeve, intertwining both to make an M and V. Alternate design is based off their old throwback, but made into a darker purple with lighter purple accents. So there they all are! What are your favorites? Least favorites? What would you change? I always look forward to your suggestions and comments!
  21. Yeah, they definitely need to change. It looks really clean. AFC South time? AFC South time. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS I saw another concept add the holes from the logo to the striping, but it was the middle stripe. I thought it would look better on the double stripes. Also used their new alternate logo as their primary as my Colts fan friend LOVES the logo. He also wanted to incorporate black so I obliged. I originally had a blue on blue look but I didn't like it so I updated it to black. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS Almost as simple as their current uniforms, but I added the jaguar spots to the striping. Another 2 toned alternate... I am CaptainBuzKill, and I have a problem. HOUSTON TEXANS Houston hasn't changed their uniforms yet, other than adding a red jersey and helmet... Adding the horns of the logo to the helmet ala Minnesota or Philadelphia. TENNESSEE TITANS I swear I did these helmets at different times, same idea here tho. Added stars from the logo (and the Tennessee flag) everywhere. Kept the sword motif of the striping but just wanted to tone it down a bit. Alternate is a Titans version of the Oilers, just to bring the color scheme back. West next?
  22. I appreciate your feedback! I'll take a look at that in a bit. For now, let's get the NFC South out of the way, shall we? TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS I initially struggled with these but I think what came out of it is unique. Hoping the flag design on the sleeves would look like they're running in the wind. Had to go creamsicle for the alts. ATLANTA FALCONS I didn't do much to the Falcons. Just made the name on the back a different color to make them standout. Otherwise rather plain. CAROLINA PANTHERS I'm all over the place on the NFC South I see. From almost no change to the most radical. Wanted the numbers to look like scratches. I thought they looked good initially, however some friends say they missed the mark. I removed the silver from their color scheme, and tried to go with visually appealing combinations, but any parts can go with any others. Scratch marks for stripes are something I thought Nike would have done years ago. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS Hard to tell on here, but there's a black on black stripe under the fleur-de-lis on the jerseys, with smaller black fleur-de-lis on them. Just to add some subtle flair. Gold jerseys that hopefully don't look like the mustard disaster that the Jags old Color Rush unis were. Added shiny gold to both the logo and the number outlines on those for more pop. I have also noticed I really like two toned alternates... I'll try and be better in the future haha. AFC South soon.
  23. OK, peeps, lets continue! Let's move over to the AFC East next! BUFFALO BILLS Kept them essentially the same, but more of a classic approach for the white. For the 3rd jersey, I kept the red, but added a red helmet. MIAMI DOLPHINS Bit of an old school flavor, just a tweak for the striping on the sleeves. Wanted to keep their 3rds white, went with a staged gradient to give the impression of a setting sun behind the sea. NEW YORK JETS Back to what works for the Jets, their Butt Fumble Era jerseys. Kept the helmet logo shiny from their old Color Rush version. Kept the black as a 3rd, pretty much just a color swap. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS I actually like their rebrand away from the Super Bowl Dynasty Era, but it always bugged me they only had one pair of pants. Added a silver pair to go with the silver helmets. Much like what they are wearing this year, threw it back to their old Pat Patriot design. Rounds everything out nicely. There's the 2nd division! What division should I post next?
  24. Hey gang! Been hard at work this summer working on NFL uniform concepts. I'd just like to share them with you all, planning on division-by-division. Tried to do every team justice for the Homes and Aways by not venturing too far from what they normally wear, but I did travel off the beaten path for a few. The 3rd uniforms were my chance to get unique, and I hope they land well. First Division, the NFC East! WASHINGTON COMMANDERS Jersey Striping is based off of the D.C. Flag. Kept their logos and colors, it started with trying to fix their current rebrand. DALLAS COWBOYS They got TOO many shades going on with their current uniforms. I tried to streamline it all. One shade of blue, one shade of silver. Went with a retro look for their 3rd jersey so they can wear some clean unis for Thanksgiving... or whatever. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES Midnight Green has overstayed its welcome. Time for the Kelly Green to return. A new modern twist for the Eagles with some diagonal striping down the pants. I tried to simulate some feathers for the 3rd jersey stripes. Not sure it translates but I still feel it looks clean enough to keep. NEW YORK GIANTS While I'm actually a fan of the solid blue jerseys for the Giants, The lack of any blue on the away jerseys always bugged me. So I added both colors to both. Went for a "Reverse Retro" design for the 3rd, switching it to red instead of blue. Kept the Navy GIANTS helmets as well. That's the first batch! What do you like? What do you dislike? All opinions and critiques are welcome! I may move over to the AFC East next, but might finish out the NFC first.
