  1. Auburn's club hockey team recently debuted a new navy sweater. It was designed to celebrate Auburn's traditions, so a few key details are silhouetted underneath the stripes.
  2. I typically add some Auburn Softball news in this thread rather than starting a new softball thread. Auburn has made a few changes for the season. A 25th anniversary patch is worn on the right sleeve, bumping the Auburn Unity logo to the back of the helmets. The helmet also features a memorial decal for Jane B. Moore, the namesake of the stadium. The Tigers also are wearing a new set of socks with very thin stripes, a big downgrade over the previous designs.
  3. There are many holes to poke the concept designs with, but if we're going to cite the designer's website, he has the current Jaguars font listed on the 2013 uniform's page.
  4. These look great, Jay! I love all the poses. They're so dynamic and give this presentation such a great look.
  5. Correct! Those pinstripe uniforms were often referred to as "Yankees pinstripes" by the team. They were replaced last year with a set that includes some more orange and a white hat, so the Yankee parallels are gone. The Bo look is reminiscent of the cream throwbacks the Tigers wore for many years but have since mothballed and haven't worn since 2018. The orange numbers were directly inspired by the Dodgers. Auburn has also worn a rather Twins-inspired "Tigers" wordmark back in 1997 and 1998.
  6. I've personally not been impacted with the ads as others have, but I did invite some friends to join the boards the other day. They immediately declined to do, stating they were bombarded with ads and couldn't even see the site itself upon loading. So it's now affecting the ability to recruit new members, which is also a problem.
  7. Talk about small changes. Auburn made a few minor tweaks to the helmet for yesterday's Citrus Bowl. Few people have approached me asking about going all in with a white facemask, and I really hope that doesn't happen.
  8. The Iron Bowl will have a new logo this year Yea, it's not great. Very bland, especially when compared to previous design. None are great by any means, but better than this one? Yes, I think so.
  9. 2020 is unlike any year we've ever seen. The delayed production timelines on the marketing side as well as the uniform fulfillment side have been entirely disrupted. Auburn did their entire football marketing photoshoot wearing the previous jersey template, despite only using the new template for the 2019 season. Most of the jerseys didn't even include the SEC patch. But once the Tigers hit the field for game one, they were back to wearing the newest template. As much as we all want to use the same tricks and methods of dissecting every move a program makes, it simply isn't going to work at the same level this year.
  10. Via Uni-Watch's coverage yesterday:
  11. Mississippi State also revealed/teased some black uniforms last night along the other adidas programs. No photos as of yet, but it looks to be devoid of all maroon, going black and white throughout.
  12. It's embedded towards the bottom of the article, underneath the "Continue Reading" button. I wanted to embed it here, but it wouldn't allow that. The article refers to it as a "five-note mnemonic melody."
  13. CBS has apparently set their "first ever brand refresh" across the entire company. Here's the AdWeek article: https://www.adweek.com/tv-video/cbs-sets-first-ever-companywide-brand-refresh-to-become-relevant-to-today/ Logo set: (kinda sad to see the CBS Sports box removed) And they made some jingle, I guess to finally compete with NBC's historic chimes?
  14. oh man we got Angry Wave hate talk now. Time to fight.
  15. Can't speak on the current "NCAA approval process for jerseys," but an old interview with the Under Armour designer that created the failed South Carolina Wounded Warrior jerseys stated that they send a few samples to the on-field officials to test out. One official said he makes his wife stand in the backyard wearing the jersey to see if he can decipher the numbers from afar. It's a good interview. 16. This is the company that tackled Charlotte's jersey number changes. It almost looks like they just slapped a green layer on top of the existing gold/green number
  17. Saturday was a big day for Auburn uniforms. The Tigers honored the late head coach Pat Dye with a special helmet decal that also appeared on the field (with a solid orange outline, however) Current head coach Gus Malzahn dressed up as Dye for the game, which was really cool And Auburn added a social justice patch to the jersey, the "Auburn Unity" logo that was first announced Sept. 10 with the “Together We Will” initiative, which is set to raise funds to recruit and retain minority students. The patch really got lost on the navy jerseys, and I image the same will happen on the white jerseys this weekend. More information of everything from Saturday on my site: https://auburnuniforms.com/2020/09/28/pat-dye-social-justice-patch-for-auburn-football/
  18. Lafayette has secretly started referring to themselves solely as Louisiana the last few years and I'm no fan of it, personally. There's always been talk about some lawsuit between them, Louisiana-Monroe, and LSU as to why there is no one team that refers to themselves as "Louisiana" for all these years. Don't know the legitimacy of that or the terms, but it sure feels like UL-L has just disregarded it now. I still refer to them with the city name for my own sanity's sake.
  19. Auburn will be adding a memorial decal and field design for the late head coach Pat Dye The design features "Sixty Minutes," which is a reference to Dye' introduction press conference when a reporter asked him how long it would take to beat Alabama (Auburn had a 9 game loosing streak). The helmet decal has 60 orange and blue stripes around the circle to further tie into the quote. The on-field logo has a solid orange circle.
  20. I actually really like what Georgia revealed yesterday. I think the white throwbacks are beautiful and a wonderful look. I feel like I'm in the minority of liking the dog collar, though I don't care for the dog head logo. I never liked that logo when they first revealed it. I've had many people tell me that Georgia copied Auburn for the white throwbacks, solely because of the sleeve stripes. And the connections to Ohio State have also been stated. Please. Northwestern Stripes are a common design, especially back in the day, and no one team "owns" them like some people like to think. It's always interesting to me what details some people like to grab on to.
  21. The bird head logo is placed large and in charge on the shoulder caps.
  22. Marshall has placed the M logo on the sleeves way too low for years now and I have no idea why. Center it up and they have a wonderful look. Otherwise, it feels half-assed. They're going full throwback, they've already said so. They wore last year's mesh-number uniforms for photo shoots recently, only a matter of time before the other colorways appear.
  23. Florida is releasing Ring of Honor merch for each inductee during the next few years. It's a merch drop, highly doubtful they have any connection to on-field uniforms. They also dropped a Jack Youngblood jersey alongside the Emmitt Smith
