Although I really like the new orange, the new jerseys are far too plain. One thing I love about the 70’s look is the waist stripe and I have always liked the unique design of the old uniforms over the new ones. I think some small tweaks to their just retired uniforms would have been a better choice. If I had my way, they would have removed the nameplates, switched to the darker orange and fix the collar.

I wonder if they did it so that you wouldn’t occasionally see the stripes on the blue pants underneath the black pant shells they wear over the blue pants when they wear the Skate alternate.

I think a striped red sock would be even better.

I know what you’re saying but I think there are some teams that should just leave their uniforms alone. Speaking of Toronto, why didn’t they just bring back their 2017 Centennial Classic uniform. It would be a perfect alternate for the Leafs.

I absolutely agree. This is Toronto, an Original 6 team that has worn nothing but royal blue and white for almost a hundred years exclusively. Truth is, I don’t have a problem with the uniform - my problem is the team that’s wearing it.

I’m so disappointed that Nashville did not wear their home uniform against Toronto’s third jersey tonight.

If today’s win over Buffalo isn’t enough to convince them to wear the silver pants permanently, I don’t know what will. They looked terrific with the silver pants today.

I am getting so tired of teams wearing all one colour monochrome. The Broncos in all orange with a white helmet looked stupid. The Eagles and Chiefs in all white with white socks… come on, wear some contrasting socks please.

I really like the contrast delivered by that magnificent advertisement on the jerseys. It just ties everything in so well.

If the Jaguars intend to keep their current uniforms, now that they have made the teal jersey their main coloured jersey again, I think they should at least make the letters and numbers on their white jersey teal.

It looks way better without the horse on the collar.

I think the best colour scheme compromise for the Wild would be forest green and gold. I think that would be a great bridge between the North Stars and the Wild.

Today’s game between Ottawa and Montreal is quite interesting. Ottawa is wearing white at home and Montreal is wearing their red alternate uniform on the road. I like the red jersey for the Alouettes but I don’t understand why they wouldn’t wear the navy or white pants instead of monochrome red.

For a team that is celebrating it’s 150th anniversary, I sure hope that the Argonauts have a throwback of some sort coming down the line this season. Speaking of their new uniforms, I think the light blue jersey would be fine as an alternate jersey but to make it a full time look with a matching away was a mistake.

I don’t want Detroit to add black like the Leafs have. Their uniforms are perfect the way they are. My concern is that they will create either a black jersey or something new that’s ugly, or both. If they wanted to occasionally wear a throwback, I have no problem with that but anything else just would not be right.

I don’t intend to ruffle any feathers in this thread but I thought Edmonton changed their name and brand to get away from anything to do with Aboriginal branding, yet now they are wearing an indigenous logo.

I wish the Suns would have just gone back to the 90s look completely. Those have always been a favourite look of mine in basketball.

Speaking of the Ducks, I love that we are getting a plum purple jersey from them but I don’t understand why they didn’t just give us a straight throwback. If they were going to do something new, I think they should have made it at least a little more than a traditional take on the Mighty Ducks jersey. Maybe a jade shoulder yoke - just something to make it a little more interesting.

With Anaheim unveiling this new jersey, does this mean the orange jersey is retired?

If you are unhappy with the jersey ads, you could always turn the TV off and not watch any of the Finals at all. Maybe if enough fans turned hockey off, perhaps the NHL would reconsider the ads. Wouldn’t that be nice. I would love to see the ads leave the jerseys and helmets and never come back.

Well hello there, now I have finally met one.

I have yet to meet any Canucks fan that likes those uniforms over the Skate or any blue & green uniform they have worn in their history.
