  1. I’m hoping for Nike to bring back a resurgence in pullover jerseys for MLB. It’d be nice to see most, if not all, teams to have at least one pullover and maybe have a guinea pig team with all pullover jerseys.
  2. Attended a Harrisburg Senators game over the weekend and noticed in their team store they had a good amount of Expos merchandise. Almost conned myself into buying a shirt, but alas I resisted the urge.
  3. Fresh off the press (Twitter): Does this count?
  4. Don’t get me wrong, he was fantastic with Baltimore, did amazing things for the team and I’ll always remember him as an Oriole, but those years were just an overall :censored:ty situation. Terrible teams every year and the team’s front office essentially :censored: all over his legacy by letting him walk because they didn’t want to give him an extra year on a contract offer. I get it, business is business, but the Orioles have let too many valuable and important players walk in recent years and they’ve gone off to do seemingly great things with their new teams.
  5. I honestly would argue that Nick’s right jersey IS Atlanta, not Baltimore.
  6. I stumbled upon a website that replicates older minor league jerseys among others and it’s proof of how the teams simply adopted their parent teams look at the time: Hartford Chiefs: Burlington Bees: New Orleans Pelicans:
  7. Seems to me like we’re going through the food inspired uniforms/names craze again, but now with alcoholic beverages
  8. Not sure why I like this idea, but hate the fact that the Keys applied it to their uniforms. I think what troubles me about Frederick is the poor execution. Frederick was chosen as the host city for the Carolina League All-Star Game this year. Previous years have featured logos in the style of the host city team’s identity, including color scheme. However, this year the logo design is in red, white, and blue. Clearly someone in the marketing and design department has some sense: Take note of the Keys script
  9. For example, my hometown Frederick Keys who are part of the Orioles farm system, are partly just late 90s Orioles ripoffs. You’d think for a team named after the National Anthem poet, they’d be a little bit more red, white, and blue and/or musical with their identity. Don’t get me wrong, they have a great professional baseball uniform, but IMO they’re identity is a bit misconstrued. Someone had said something about how the OKC Dodgers don’t need to be a rip-off of the LA Dodgers and I agree. They can still be named the Dodgers, but they could focus their identity on Rodeo Clowns being bull “Dodgers” or something along those lines. I’d imagine the rodeo scene in Oklahoma is relatively big?
  10. I never said it was a bad thing. What I’m saying is, it would do some teams a lot of good to try to differentiate themselves from the parent club. Parent club colors are fine, but at least try a little better than a copy and paste mentality.
  11. I tend to have a problem with the Orioles minor league teams. They all use the same orange, black, white color scheme. Aside from Norfolk, who know, has a great identity. It gets boring. It pretty much feels and looks like if you’re a player, you’re on the same team your entire time in the Orioles farm system.
  12. More and more I tend to dislike when minor league teams are either identical to or use their parent club’s colors. Have some originality and at least SOME fun when it comes to your identity.
  13. I don’t think MLB will do away with AL and NL. The most drastic thing I could see happening is we get an AL East & West and an NL East & West all with 8 teams in each division
  14. So from what I’m gathering, the NL should look like this: North- Chicago Cubs Cincinnati Reds Milwaukee Brewers New York Mets East- Montreal MLB Team Pittsburgh Pirates Philadelphia Phillies Washington Nationals South- Atlanta Braves Colorado Rockies Miami Marlins St. Louis Cardinals West- Arizona Diamondbacks Los Angeles Dodgers San Diego Padres San Francisco Giants
  15. There are no Central Divisions in this scenario. To answer your question, I simply based it off the fact that even though Pittsburgh may be more east than Cincinnati, it’s still more northern. I also wanted to keep Pittsburgh and Philadelphia in separate divisions just how they are now. I definitely found the NL realignment more difficult than the AL.
  16. Honestly I was more worried about Arizona and Colorado, but I think it works.
  17. In the event of a two-team MLB expansion that adds Montreal (NL) and Portland (AL) to up the league to 32 teams American League North- Chicago White Sox Detroit Tigers Minnesota Twins Toronto Blue Jays East- Baltimore Orioles Boston Red Sox Cleveland Indians New York Yankees South- Houston Astros Kansas City Royals Tampa Bay Rays Texas Rangers West- Los Angeles Angels Oakland Athletics Portland MLB Team Seattle Mariners National League North- Chicago Cubs Milwaukee Brewers Montreal MLB Team Pittsburgh Pirates East- Cincinnati Reds New York Mets Philadelphia Phillies Washington Nationals South- Atlanta Braves Colorado Rockies Miami Marlins St. Louis Cardinals West- Arizona Diamondbacks Los Angeles Dodgers San Diego Padres San Fransisco Giants
  18. York Revolution of the independent Atlantic League go with White Sox inspired new alternate uniforms this season:
