  1. Crazy that a team from BC could nail this concept before any sports team from DC was able to. Great shirt.
  2. This might be a weird personal taste, but I dislike the matte finish much more than a chrome finish. Still prefer the standard glossy. In hockey the helmet shouldn't be a design element.
  3. 4 + 1 in a sport where they play 162 games is actually so ridiculous. I'm not advocating for a ton of alternates, but if a team needs to get rid of their traditional away uniform there is a serious problem. The NFL can somehow squeeze in 4 uniforms into 17 games.
  4. Agreed, I'm surprised replica jerseys have not gotten smaller over the years, such as cutting off the the sleeves to more of a soccer jersey cut to emulate the game jerseys.
  5. I know they had a couple down years during that time, but the era of the constant one-off Oregon uniforms was my favorite especially the infamous duckfoot look.
  6. I'm a fan, reminds me of DC Metro branding. I just wish they didn't use the Target ad as a design element for the kit pattern.
  7. Often forgotten, but the blue was primary for 5 seasons with the black as alternate for 3 seasons, then promoted to primary for 7 SEASONS...
  8. I would go as far as to say, the Caps have never had a good look. Take off the 90's nostalgia and the screagle was ruined by terrible wordmarks on the striping, and over-reliance on black. They are better off starting from scratch IMO.
  9. I don't have a strong opinion on mascot logos, but definitely prefer when teams update them like Nebraska just did, rather than just bring back the old illustration. They don't translate that well to uniform applications, especially as helmet logos.
  10. Also the victim of being associated with an inferior uniform set as a whole. Same problem I think people have with Sharks logo 2.0 vs 1.0.
  11. They're definitely going to pull a Jets and wear either the black set or white jersey/black pants aren't they?
  12. This is just the football version of the Cavs latest rebrand
  13. How did @TruColor tell us the Cardinals secondary color was orange last week, and people have proceeded to guess the color scheme for the last 5 pages..
  14. The Nationals brand has been so forgettable since they won the world series, but technically speaking they have had a white panel hat for the last couple of years as their default home hat. So I wouldn't say the Twins white panel would look all that unique outside of the batting helmet mismatch.
  15. You just reminded me that they will probably win it this year wearing the "Canes" road sweater with red helmets
  16. Well people aren't opposed to the designs on the back collar of Adidas jerseys...
  17. I see your point, but the victory stripes aren't really a design element, as they are aren't visible on the uniform. I think it is cool to have a little flair that you will only notice if a team wins the stanley cup, or scores a goal.
  18. I've always wanted to see the current logo with a drop shadow, similar to the style of the inaugural logo.
  19. You missed the most forgettable alternate that preceded the black storm gradient.
  20. Devil Rays did this in '05 but switched to plain baselayers after that.
  21. Ironically, as a DC United fan that was the best kit in recent memory IMO. But agreed, but if teams don't sell enough shirts in the Adidas deal, I doubt teams would reach enough sales to warrant enough creativity or money from individual kit deals.
  22. Loving most of these kits, a nice surprise from Adidas this year. Many unique elements for each team, while not going overboard on trendy color schemes.
  23. If the rebrand was designed with the All-star elements, it would be much better received. The all-star court especially looks amazing! Instead they launched a completely blank set of jerseys.. still can't wrap my head around the thought process.
  24. Columbia wordmark looks the exact same as Boston's awful city connect.
