  1. Thank You for your work Pitt!!  As long as the logo doesnt wash out, this field actually doesn't look too too shabby.

Here is what I have pregame.

I got a grass texture down, and the scaling of all the logos correct.

After the game, I will do some color adjustments.

Roger Goodell must not own any artwork in his house.  Became commish in 2006.  Look at the fields since XL.  Progressively blander, stale logos, no conference logos (which I think should return to the old ones where the AFC mimics the AFL logo anyway).

Really bland and small playoff logos.  By the way, 2007 was the first year of the super small shield at the 25 yard lines in NFL stadiums.

    No imagination.

He was born in Jamestown NY, very bland western New York town.  Maybe that’s where he gets it from.

He probably eats everything plain with no seasonings too.

Again, that's just the artificial turf field. That's not the grass field they'll be playing on. The leave the gap so the paint doesn't stain the white sewn in border.

Correct.  The field outside has the Super Bowl logo already painted on.  This is just the one being used for Media Day Monday.

The Chiefs originally chose yellow back for Super Bowl LIV because they were using their yellow throwback endzones as a tribute to their Super Bowl IV win. They used those through the playoffs, then went on and chose it for the Super Bowl. Kept the same design for the following season after winning with the yellow endzones. It will be interesting, now a couple years removed from all that, and following a loss in their last Super Bowl with yellow endzones, if they keep the same design, or move onto something different. It's not often teams change endzone colors without a design change, especially when they're currently in a string of recent Super Bowl appearances.

The only endzone color changes I can think of within a relatively short time frame (so, for example, ignoring the Packers change from yellow to green between SB II and XXXI) would be:

Vikings from purple to yellow between IV and VIII (this happened because the endzone design used purple helmets)

Dolphins from Aqua to Coral between XVII and XIX (I'm speculating because the dolphins had aqua facemasks on the endzone helmets)
and Patriots from red to navy between XXXI and XXXVI

Outside of that, there aren't many more examples of teams that changed the basic color, even between design changes. I think just:
    Packers (yellow to green)

Eagles (silver to green => only silver to begin with because of green helmets in SB XV endzone)

Bears (orange to navy => only orange to begin with because of navy helmets in SB XX endzone)

Giants (red to blue => only red to begin with because of blue helmets in SB XXI/XXV endzones)

Broncos (orange to navy due to design changes)

Rams (yellow to navy/blue due to design changes)

So really no examples of a team changing endzone colors in a short period of time, without a design change, or a Super Bowl field design change. Really, the only team to do that is the Dolphins between Super Bowl XVII and XIX.

Not saying the Chiefs couldn't change, but it would be of note becuase of how rare it has been in the past.

Can you give us a mock up with the red endzone and white CHIEFS?  I would imagine the letters would be white with a red endzone right?

    Here's our matchup.Y4QgdQS.png

This will just be speculation on what the field could look like, based on the past several seasons. I'll still hold out some hope that we could see something different and interesting, but I can't say I have much hope for that. Maybe they paint the teamboxes similar to Super Bowl XLIX.

Maybe we will get lucky and they will paint the 20's team colors?  Not holding my breath.

Het @pitt6pack, something I noticed watching some Super Bowl highlights. Looking at the Giants end zone in Super Bowl XXV, you can see the "Tampa Bay" wordmark bleeding through a bit. Not so much in the Bills end zone though. I've never noticed that before, especially seeing Norwood's kick seemingly every year this time of year.spacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png

YES!!   I noticed it Friday Night myself as I watched it on youtube!!!   Man did those players look gassed at the end of that battle.  What a game.  THAT was a man's game for sure.  Great game.

  7. If my Lions were to somehow get to the Super Bowl they could leave my end zone blank and play on a gravel parking lot for all I care.  LOL.  Probably how Bengals fans feel right now.  Maybe one day.  This field is one of the better ones of the template era due to the logo itself being colorful and quite large.  I also think the NFL has set my expectations so low anymore that a colorful logo has me satisfied.  I can't tell.

    Now for the AFC

    1. Tennessee Titans

The Titans wear navy more often, and use navy as a color more often, so I think this would be more likely than powder blue.

    2. Kansas City Chiefs

Same endzone used the last two Super Bowls.

    3. Buffalo Bills

    4. Cincinnati Bengals

I'm just hoping this is what we would see if the Bengals made it to a Super Bowl. The stripe pattern matches their current endzones.

    5. Las Vegas Raiders

    6. New England Patriots

Same endzone used in Super Bowl LIII

    7. Pittsburgh Steelers

Same sized wordmark as in their home stadium endzone.

Unfortunately, there is no way the NFL actually goes through the trouble of putting Bengals stripes in the end zone if they make it.  It'll be black or orange  LOL.
