Maybe if Western countries started to put serious economic sanctions on countries who support ISIS, there won't beIt's not the issue of countries supporting ISIS, it's western world countries who sit idly back while the Qatari government gets away with slave labour, not paying their workers for months on end, having them live in slums with 5-7 people per room, confiscating their passports so they can't leave, and having the worst safety record on construction sights with ZERO oversight and care about the deaths of migrant workers. Many journalists write these big expose iase on the state of construction within Qatar, and some politicians say a few things how they condemn Qataris for doing this when they are trying to get something else passed. But nothing really happens.

I have done alot since the tragedy on Tuesday in trying to make a small difference through the unit I belong to. And it's not childish when bullying keeps going on this board day after day. But most of these children on this board wouldn't have the balls to pull some of these stunts if they were in person.

Only a really good speculation. With both times moderators had to get involved with your childish and hijacking remarks, they deleted your posts and posted in those threads stating the rules. Only really thought the moderators might have warned you on both those occasions. But I can see nothing has changed.

I understand that. It's why I went in and removed all discussion re: the gun control debate. It started before we even knew the identity of the shooter, much less how he obtained the firearm. I didn't want rampant uninformed speculation to turn into an argument that would eclipse the the actual events taking place. We do try to keep things on topic and nip problems that can derail a story and legitimate line of discussion in the bud when we think our involvement is needed. I agree entirely. And I see no reason why we cannot honour his sacrifice as a community in the thread dedicated to the tragedy in which he lost his life. As Mockba stated, we're tasked by the administration with the smooth running of the boards. That includes merging threads dedicated to the same topic. And Cpl. Cirillo's sacrifice fit the purview of an existing topic. Your post wasn't deleted or altered in any way. It was simply moved to an established thread where the majority of the user base would be looking for information regarding Ottawa shootings. Information that includes anything on the arrangements for, and honouring of, Cpl. Cirillo. I understand that there is a knee-jerk reaction to seeing a topic you started suddenly gone with no explanation. A quick check in the Ottawa shootings thread would have cleared up what happened. Again, nothing was deleted or edited. Just moved for the sake of keeping the board running smoothly with as few duplicate threads as possible. Actually that was the first place I looked was in the Ottawa Parliament Shootings thread and noticed buried. Yes I know it was not altered or deleted but that is not the point. Thanks Ice_Cap for the cleanup of that thread. And for all the naysayers, maybe you would act the same way if you truly felt like I do with the death of Nathan Cirillo and trying to show a little humility and honor to him through a independent thread based on his funeral procession. Because here in Canada this doesn't happen much, losing a military member. We have a small military (55,000 total) and whenever we lose someone through killed in action (Afghanistan), suicides and now this act of cowardice (including Warrant Officer Vincent by a hit and run last weekend). But maybe down in the States everyone is so numb and oblivious to when it happens to your military members that it doesn't register anymore. But that is not my concern, my concern was wanting to tell people of the touching event of Friday. And I give two :censored:s about ram80's views. Both ram80 and CS85 have now repeatably hijacked my thread posts (in numerous threads now pushing their own childish views. ram80 was already warned twice on this matter and to stop posting in threads that does not interest him just to start an argument. But as you can see the warning means on here. Same goes with CS85. All the warnings in the world will not change these bullies attitudes.

Easy to explain by your views you expressed in International Football on stating that Serbia needs to be banned from European competitions due to their racist supporters. Even though there is a small select group of racists among the Serbian national team supporters group, you personally kept pushing your narrow mindedness and racist views on IanC and others who viewed those posts, that all Serbian are the same: 1. We're less than a generation removed from fairly widespread attempts on the part of Serbs to wage genocide upon several of their neighbors. 2. If there is any apparent sorrow on the part of the Serbs about point 1, its that they failed to achieve their goals. 3. Pretty much everytime you look, you see the Serb fans practicing some form of racial/ethnic intimidation. You were told by IanC "you were wrong to accuse every person in Serbia who attends a football match to be a racist as you are doing. You are pigeonholing everyone to be the same and thats not true. You accusing everyone from a region to be all classed the same is unjust and utterly wrong because of a minority might be." I have thought of PM a couple moderators but I have done that in the past and gotten in s**t for PM a moderator. I was told not to ever PM a moderator. It's certain people like that who think they have god status on here again. Plus I don't know exactly moved my post...don't think many of the moderators would even tell me. Oh I know the moderators have lives, that's without a doubt. But I know this person is most likely online today and refuses to comment on this situation due to his or her ignorance and narrow mindlessness. Ice_Cap...thank you for chiming in on this matter. And thank you for your candidness and honesty. The fact that I started another topic thread on Cpl Nathan Cirillo's funeral procession yesterday was out of mere honour and commemoration of what he stood for as a soldier defending the values both mine and your country. That's why i joined the Royal Canadian Navy 18 years ago, so i can make a difference in both my life and my family's lives. As well as defend the values of my country. The other reason I started another thread on the funeral procession because as I read through that comments on the Ottawa Parliament Shooting thread, I was disgusted to see people talking about Islamic extremism and fundamentalism being the primary cause of this. Even though there is still no direct proof that he was even part of ISIS/ISIL nor was he ever approached by them. Nor was he on any 90-specified watchlist by the RCMP. I did not want the diminish Nathan Cirillo's memory for what he paid for ultimately with his life by standing on guard at the National War Memorial. Cirillo and his best friend (the one that was standing directly adjacent to Cirillo as he got shot that morning) volunteered to be part of the National Sentry Guard Program because they both believed it was their duty and an absolute honour to do so to stand on guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier. I didn't want that story to be buried through the normal rhetoric and conspiracy bull on this board and said daily throughout America. Ice_Cap: maybe you and the rest of the moderators should take a closer look at what is actually said in some of these threads and realize why people sometimes start new ones on the same subjects. Not just because they want to have their say, but because we are tired of hearing the same bull being said over and over again but the true story should be put front and center. And the center of this story is the sacrifice of a good man, a father and someone who believed in the country enough to join the Canadian Army Reserves and had aspirations to join the Regular Force Army. I am just tired of people who control what is said and done on these boards (not pointing fingers at you Ice_Cap for this one as you have honesty talk to me on this topic even though you were not directly involved with it) don't have the balls to make a post or even PM people nowadays to say why they have decided on something. Most things I have seen recently on CCSLC, now this matter including, is making up new rules after the fact to cover their asses for their narrow mindedness and ignorance instead of telling the truth. Yes this one issue of moving my post to a topic that is full of posts that has nothing to do with the discussion of Nathan Cirillo at all upsets me. 99% of the time I would not have cared. But this absolutely pisses me off because of what my ties to Cirillo (the Canadian Armed Forces) and what that funeral procession from Ottawa-Hull to Hamilton meant not just the military but the first responders and civilians alike lining the 401 yesterday for six plus hours waving Canadian flags, dressed in red and white, and singing O Canada at the top of their lungs because of what Cirillo means to us as a nation. I'm going to presume it's because it's a new post on an already made topic. It didn't warrant it's own thread. The topic is new because it had to do with Cpl Nathan Cirillo's return to Hamilton by funeral procession, the outpouring of love and Canadian pride by people who didn't know Cirillo but felt a duty to say thank you for the needless slaying that occurred. It had nothing to do with the BS coward that shot him and events that surrounded the Parliament shootings. It deserved it's own thread, period! I don't believe it should have been buried in the Ottawa Shooting thread. Take it from me a current long serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces, most notably the Royal Canadian Navy of 18 years, who has done more and risked more than most of these moderators on this board. That 24 year old soldier deserves the recognition even if it's on this board to stand on it's own. I think it's a sacrilege and a dishonesty to us Canadians to push this thread to somewhere it doesn't deserve to be. It does though, considering he was the one that was shot. I don't think anyone is trying to undermine what you, Nathan or any military personal do, but it was just a housekeeping issue mod wise. We have the NFL thread and the Anti-NFL thread for all the issues going on behind the scenes of the NFL. Can someone tell me why my new thread for I posted last night at 17:45 PST in The Lounge called "Cpl Nathan Cirillo Returns to Hamilton" was moved? Why was I not even messaged about it. I thought it deserved it's own post and not get buried in the the BS in the "Ottawa Parliament Shootings" thread.

I have a question about quoting another post in my reply as well as pasting links into my replies. I cannot do neither. It just started recently. When I select the "QUOTE" button it normally fills the quoted selection in the reply field but not any more. Nor can I copy a link or content from another webpage. Hi there everyone, I was wondering if someone can help me out with determining what the two fonts are used in this concept drawing. I tried contacting the author but he hasn't been online in a while. They are labelled 1 & 2 First one is the notes/primary and clash kit font. It looks like a hand drawn font but I can't find anything close to it. The second was used in the club name. I was hoping someone could help me out. Thanks Helvetica Bold. "Centurato" looks like a modified version of Microgramma. The P-Zero font is probably completely custom. Although it is similar to whatever Ok State uses. Thanks!

Hi, This is such a great little thread on Photoshop techniques. I am fairly new (6 months) to Photoshop/Illustrator/Inkscape and the creation process. I am trying to convert skyline photos so that it only employs two main colors. I was hoping you could help me out in how to create the effect with both the coming through the photo. I have been playing around but have hit a wall with this. I know you set the photo to "greyscale" first. I can make it so I have the primary color and either black or white (depending on using Multiply or Screen blending). But I can't figure out how to get the second color to take the place of the black or white. Is there a way to convert the secondary color in the "greyscale" to any other color so that when you use Multiply it allows the blending of the two colors? I just can't figure it out plus there is no actual thread on here or any forum I can find on this process. Can you please help me out. Thanks.
